Reverence Mare

Came home Tuesday 22nd September after a fantastic 10 night stay at this hotel. There was literally nothing to complain about. It is spotlessly clean with nice rooms and pleasant staff. We stayed half board and loved the food which is unusual for us as a couple. There was a very wide selection of dishes on offer - most definitely something for everyone. The pool area is lovely with no shortage of sunbeds and the hotel itself is nice and quiet. You definitely get the impression rowdiness will mot be tolerated. I have saved the best until last though as by far the biggest advantage of staying at this hotel is the location. A two minute walk across the road and you are on a beautiful sandy beach with warm clear waters. Locally there is everything you need from restaurants to supermarkets. I can honestly say that now we know this gem of a hotel is there we will be going back.

This is our 3rd visit to this excellent hotel. Well placed with beach directly across the road. There is an exit onto the promenade via the Dolphin bar. It’s In great walking distance to bars/restaurants & 10 min walk into Magaluf. The hotel itself as a calm chilled vibe with plenty of sun loungers. These would benefit from some padded cushioning as they can get uncomfortable if you’re sunbathing all day but the padded Bali beds can be utilised if you’re a Reverence member. Plenty of swimming & splash pools available & a great pool restaurant which offers more than cheeseburger & chips!!!

The main restaurant is buffet style with plenty of choices. For breakfast there is hot pass where you’ll find bacon eggs beans etc & omelettes/fried eggs made on request. Plenty of different breads, cakes & muffins along with fresh fruit, cheeses, cold meats & yoghurts etc There are different proteins each evening - all hot & fresh

On checking in you’re given a wrist tag which operates as your room key. Because of this method you cannot exit the room & leave things plugged in/charging etc as there is no power. I also found it difficult to dry my hair as there was no electrical socket near the full length mirror which sits in the hall area. A mirror over the dresser unit would have been fab. Each room does have an hairdryer but pretty ‘bog standard’ & trying to dry your long hair in a hot bathroom with no ventilation doesn’t bode well.

The rooms are a good size with very large comfortable beds & crisp linen. It seems the air con has been updated since our last stay but this only works if someone is detected in the room & it doesn’t chill very well. In 30 degree heat I’d appreciate it if I could have reduced it to something less than the preset of 20. We overheard a guest telling the Manager they had same issues - would have given 5 * but the issues with dockets & aircon kept it at 4! Beds are made up every day with floors swept, bins emptied & we even had our towels changed without requesting so, The staff are absolutely fantastic. Incredibly hardworking, extremely helpful & super friendly. Special mention to Marie Carmen & Ana who went above and beyond - treasure those girls - you don’t get many like these two!! There is evening entertainment but this takes place in the terrace bar & both artist & guests would benefit more if the artist could perform outside like I’ve witnessed previously or you open the sliding doors like I witnessed last week.

Each Thursday guests are invited to roof top Terrace where you can take in the views at sunset whilst having cocktails & listening to the entertainment.

If you’re after a calm chilled place this is for you & even given the points I’ve raised we will return.

Fab stay, great located hotel with a fab seaview room. Easy access to beach & restaurants, shops bars etc. lovely helpful staff… our room was meticulously cleaned daily. A Special mention has to go to Alba on the rooftop pool bar - amazing - always smiling, helpful & positive giving the area a great vibe. We met so many lovely people. The spa was nice, breakfast ok.
