Nakar Hotel

This is really a 3.5 as I would describe our experience as good rather than average. Firstly the positives, our room was lovely and spacious with a balcony and huge tub and it was very clean. Linens and towels were good quality and there were generous bottles of Molton brown toiletries - all great . Strange things in the room - the most uncomfortable ugly grey sofa then a huge space with no table then a tiny desk with no bin. We did also have some initial housekeeping issues, however these were sorted. So nice to have a balcony but no table and chairs so you could not sit outside. The shower was over the bath and had good water pressure but if you are not tall you will need assistance to get in and out as it is very deep. Breakfast had all you can imagine, particularly lovely warm fresh bread, although museli or granola instead of raw oats would be good as well as Greek yoghurt. The service was erratic. We were only offered menu items one day out of three and did not know you could order coffee from the bar (much nicer than machine) until the last day. Unfortunately the same team is in charge of the roof bar/pool area where service is non existent. Piles of discarded towels on loungers so you didn’t know when free, towels ran out and not replaced, tables not wiped, dirty food plates and glasses just left..:. It is a real shame as with some attention to detail and care this could be lovely. The spa seems to have the same issue as it does not seem to be regularly cleaned/checked so does not have that lovely lux smell a good spa should have. The aroma shower head was so limescaled it did not work. Reception staff were very friendly and polite however we did have miscommunication about a number of things, it took 3 requests to get a kettle and teabags (and I had to source a cup myself), when the steam room did not appear to be on although we had prebooked, it wasn’t made clear that it needed a motion sensor to work until a technician was called. The massage I had however was excellent. We explained much of this to the Guest Manager who was very pleasant. Overall I was expecting more given all the reviews and the hotel certainly has the potential to be very good.

Had the most gorgeous stay at Nakar! I stayed in a room with the most beautiful & relaxing bath, had a massage, and also used the spa and pool! Everything was amazing! Karina was lovely, all the staff were so nice and helpful!

Nakar is a well located in the heart of Palma. The hotel is modern and fresh and beautifully appointed. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained and equipped. Quality products are provided in the bathrooms. The rooftop pool is spectacular with plenty of sunloungers available for guests. The breakfast offers a good selection of quality food. All of the staff are warm, friendly and very helpful. For what it delivers, Nakar is good value for money.
