Nakar Hotel

I had a great stay at the Nakar however there are a couple of things that could have made the trip better. Firstly the lack of any shade in the pool area makes it difficult to enjoy the area without feeling you are burning in the midday sun. Secondly our room, whilst lovely with the bath and rainfall shower was very difficult to get in and out of. The steps into the shower were very steep and felt dangerous when wet. Also as I am over 6ft i was too tall to fit under the shower. The bath seemed to malfunction as all of the jets turned on when not in use and had no water in and made a horrible noise which we couldn’t work out how to turn off. Lastly the breakfast seems to have gone down in quality since our last visit. We didn’t actually bother with breakfast the second day as we found the quality of the options to be very poor on our first visit. The final point which is not the hotels fault is the number of children in the pool at times removes from the concept of a chilled city break. Being splashed and kicked by children playing and screaming takes away from the concept of the hotel. I appreciate this is not the hotels fault but just to be aware if you want somewhere to relax by the poolside - on some afternoons this won’t be the place unfortunately.

Wow what a great hotel. We had the best experience at this hotel. It started off a little rocky but ended on a huge high note. We had a little issue with our shower and they fixed it right away and gave us a bottle of Kava. The staff was so friendly and kind. The hotel is also in a great location. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel! We will definitely stay here again. Five stars on staff, accommodations, location and amenities!!!

We had a standard superior double room which was excellent, and all the facilities were fantastic. A special mention has to go to the breakfast — genuinely one of the best we’ve had, with great views to match.

The rooftop dip pool is a real highlight, and the food throughout was excellent too. But what really made the stay was the staff — friendly, helpful, and nothing was too much trouble.

We looked at around four hotels with rooftop bars in Palma before booking, and even walked round a few others while we were out there just to compare. After seeing what else was on offer, we’re so glad we chose the Nakar — it was hands down the best choice we could have made.
