Perfect weekend break. Level rooms great with a sea view. All facilities were excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Location good with public transport connections. Would definitely stay again.
This is our second time to stay at the Melia Palma Bay. Loved the spacious room with view over toward the harbour. Very clean and well appointed. Lovely Rituals toiletries. The breakfast was delicious and varied. Special thank you to Pete for being so kind and helpful ❤️ Mina was also particularly friendly and kind, made us feel very welcome and makes the best omelette 😍 Great gym but we ran on the front in the mornings. We love the location. Across the road from the beach and great places to eat as well as a very well stocked mini supermarket. One mile walk to the beautiful cathedral Bus stop directly outside which is so handy. Overall a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stay.
We liked most things about this hotel, but the one thing that let it down was the level room with terrace that we had paid extra for as we were on holiday to celebrate a birthday. We'd not recommend doing this as it was nothing like we were expecting for the price. The terrace was surrounded by clouded glass and overlooked by the terrace belonging to our neighbouring room. As a result we just didn't use it. One evening when they were out they could also see directly into our room which made us put our blinds down. The terrace floor also needed fixing on arrival which was resolved the following day. We raised these things and were left a bottle of cava which was a nice gesture but really didn't address the issue for us. One thing to note is if you book a room here, you will get two single beds made up as singles pushed together, this can be remedied if you ask. Aside from the above, the level lounge was immaculate, great breakfast, then drinks and snacks available until the evening. We also used the spa which we'd recommend. Hotel staff were great, the hotel was also very clean and it's ideally located if you like a walk which we do. We used the A1 bus from and to the airport, this was very easy and efficient. It stops directly outside the hotel. Overall we'd recommend a room on the level, just not the terrace room with pool access!
I strongly advise everyone to NEVER book a stay at Meliá Palma Bay. During my holiday (Room 425, May 12-15, 2026), the housekeeping staff threw away my personal belongings on TWO separate occasions. On the final day, they discarded my essential prescription medication for a dust mite allergy. Because of this severe negligence, I suffered a heavy allergic reaction and spent my final night completely sleepless. When I tried to speak to the manager on duty that day to resolve this medical emergency, he completely refused to talk to me, claiming he was "too busy." The lack of respect and empathy was shocking. After leaving, the customer service team acknowledged the issue. However, instead of refunding my actual medical costs of €409.13 in cash, they tried to bribe me with 20,000 MeliáRewards points (worthless to me, as I will never return). When I refused their points and demanded a bank transfer for my actual damages, they blocked the conversation and forwarded the case to their insurance company just to delay the process. This hotel does not care about your health, safety, or personal property. Unprofessional staff and terrible management. Save your money and book somewhere else! F.m. Buttner
Great location, a bit pricey for what you get but lovely hotel. Theres a pool on the 7th floor but it is always busy so if you want a sun lounger make sure you get there early. The pool itself is quite small and shallow so if you want a proper swim its better in the sea. It is a short distance from the beach and the atmosphere around the hotel is nice and friendly. The rooms are quite small for what you pay for we was in room 535 and this was a sea view room ( baring in mind that you don’t fully see the sea due to it being blocked by other buildings which was ashame but you could see part of the cathedral). Staying here you have a lot of connections to palma town with the busses which run all the time even through the night. The breakfast was okay it was more continental but the omelettes where very nice apart from the eggs being really runny. All the rooms are soundproof which is nice for a good night sleep and all the rooms are clean and the cleaners are very nice!!!
