The hotel is on the Palma de Mallorca seafront, near the old town. Major sites such as the Pueblo Español congress centre, the Auditorium, the Royal Yachting Club RCNP or the famous Cathedral are within walking distance. The airport is at 18 km from the hotel. The 171 rooms are bright and airy, filled with natural light; many of them offer spectacular panoramic views over the bay, the Cathedral, the marina with its countless yachts and the promenade. Guest can admire the stunning sunset over the bay while sip on an original cocktail from a terrace bar or enjoy the sun by the pool side while lying on a sunbed. Take the opportunity to have dinner in the restaurant with a menu based on ingredients deeply rooted in tradition and touches of creativity. The moonlight and soft candlelight create an intimate and romantic atmosphere.

Critical incident
If you are considering booking this hotel please stop now. The rooms are tired and dirty . The central corridors and lifts are unclean. The management system is unclear. Young and inexperienced staff are managing important customer services. Two days ago a shower screen completely collapsed in our bathroom. I survived with minor injuries. This would be a critical incident in most hotels across Europe. We requested a room change. This room had an insecure toilet that required fixing and the bathroom flooded after one shower. These issues have now been addressed. Two days after the incident, we are advised that the hotel insurers have been contacted. We are still awaiting a report. There has been no duty of care follow up. We await further action. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
Great hotel and service
Wonderful experience here in Mallorca. Customer service was also phenomenal, particularly with the help of Carlos who made our experience exceptional when assisting us with the Audi. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay.

A good superior hotel
A well positioned hotel on Palma harbour. It is a city hotel, not a resort. Check-in was welcoming and courteous, despite the front office incorrectly dealing with a reservation change.
Junior suite was spacious with a tremendous view. It was fully equipped and everything worked. The Red Level offered useful complimentary services and is well worth it.
Breakfast was excellent.
Outside pool was convenient and well maintained. Pool service was generally poor, as was the service throughout the hotel. Bar staff socialising amongst themselves while customers were waiting. Turn down service non-existent. Everyone doing the minimum.
Decor was tired and the hotel really needs a refurbishment, including the bedrooms.
Probably not a 5 star hotel right now, but certainly a superior 4 star. We would stay again.

Shambles
This was always a good hotel but now its service level is horrific. Turndown service is non existent no water no towels and the breakfast service is chaos. Then the pool - now you have yo ask for your own drinks and then take them back yourself - 5 star hotel? Not any more, Staff can’t be bothered ( apart from Layla and Pedro) rest are running around clueless.

Great Hotel. Great staff
The Gran Melia Victoria is well positioned, just opposite the harbour and on the outskirts of Palma. The welcome on arrival was excellent, with refreshments (and sparkling wine) provided whilst checking in. Our car was valet parked for 5 days with friendly and welcoming concierge. We had visited the Hotel to see the eclipse - which was a complicated business (due to Road closures and the positioning of the sun. Th Hotel could not have been more helpful, and took a personal delight in helping us (and seeing our wonderful photographs afterwards. The Breakfast was excellent. A really good selection of fruits, cheeses, hot meal options and pastries. We had a room on Red level (Exec lounge access). The room had a lovely view of the harbour and cathedral. It was well-appointed with good air conditioning (essential for us given the high August temperatures. I would like to make a special mention of the Receptionist, Anne-Marie who totally made the holiday for us. We look forward to returning when it is not so hot, for a better look around Palma.
