British Airways PMI ground handling agent South sent me here following an overnight flight delay on 30th May 2026. You wonder why, as the place is a bit of a dump, but perhaps the commission is good? It took the miserable reception staff three attempts to give me a room. My first room #110 had the patio door to the ground floor balcony unlocked. The lock was broken! The second attempt gave me room #215, which turned out to be already occupied by an irate American couple whom I woke up. If you read this review please accept my apologies! My third room #422 had a circular bed! Fortunately no mirror on the ceiling! Great view of the port. No bedside chargers. Weird in-room lights. TV u/s. Air con stuck on 21 deg with dead remote. Poor bathroom with two types of tiles where a new shower had been plumbed in! Sleep quality was poor - up until past 03h00 doors along the corridor were banging, but with no accompanying sound of a rolling suitcase. Perhaps "working ladies" with a rapid client turnover? I escaped at 07h30 for the flight home. Breakfast was good.

Excellent Stay!
We had a really great experience during our stay. The rooms were very clean, and housekeeping was done every day. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a room with a beautiful balcony view of the port as a bonus, which made our stay even more special.
There are several cozy relaxation areas around the hotel where you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere. The service was excellent overall. A special thank you to the reception team for taking all our wishes into account and making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We truly felt welcomed and well taken care of.
Holiday at Amic Horizonte Hotel
It was our first stay at Amic Hotel Horizonte, and we will definitely be coming back!
Location is perfect. Value is worth the money.
The clean rooms, breakfast, atmosphere, and especially the staff made our holiday truly amazing. The dinner was also excellent and exceeded our expectations.
The views from the balcony were stunning, especially at sunset. There is a large balcony where you can enjoy beautiful views of the port, creating a perfect spot to relax in the evening.
The pool, gym, billiard, and overall facilities were all fantastic — easily a 10/10 experience
Amic Horizonte hotel
Our stay at Amic Hotel Horizonte was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were comfortable, and the food was excellent.
The highlight was the breathtaking view of the port from the large balcony, especially at sunset. The pool, gym, and breakfast were all great as well. Overall, a wonderful experience and an easy 5 stars.
We would happily return.
Excellent vacation because the hotel was excellent
Lovely hotel, fresh,clean, the rooms are a good size, bathroom was very clean, great having 2 basins. So many facilities at your fingertips. The food was superb, freshly prepared and the buffet style breakfast was refreshed, regularly so there wasn't stale/cold food left out. But for me the standout feature of the hotel were the staff, every single one I had interactions with, from housekeeping to daily managers, were polite, kind, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and you genuinely felt wanted, nothing was too much trouble for them to ensure your stay was perfect. Can't recommend this hotel enough.
