Son Caliu Hotel and Spa Oasis

• Paid for a room upgrade that didn’t actually exist and had to chase the hotel for a refund.
• Hotel advertises itself as disability friendly – it is not.
• Despite both myself and TUI requesting a ground-floor room (disability) well in advance, we were placed on the second floor.
• Numerous steps throughout the hotel and the platform lifts are extremely slow, making accessibility poor.
• Breakfast was average; the fruit juice was so watered down it had almost no taste.
• Sun loungers around the pool were constantly reserved, with no action taken by staff.
• Ants in the grass around the pool bite.
• Air conditioning is restricted in the rooms.
• Our room needed minor repairs and parts of the hotel smelled damp.
• Entertainment schedule was inaccurate and couldn’t be relied upon.
• We were overcharged for minibar items we never used & had to be credited.
• The atmosphere around the pool was often spoiled by loud, low brow disruptive guests drinking large amounts of vodka they had brought themselves.
• The hotel feels more like a 3-star property than the standard it advertises.

• There are far better hotels in the area offering better quality and value for money.
• Our experience was so disappointing that we cancelled our August stay and booked elsewhere.

Recently returned from our 7 night stay at this lovely hotel. The breakfast buffet was superb with plenty of choices. We were bed and breakfast but had some of our evening meals in the hotel and they were excellent. The rooms are spacious and kept immaculate. The hotel and pool area are spotless and decorated beautifully. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. My only negative comment would be we found the beds around the pool uncomfortable and hard. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
