5/5 Stars – Ignore the bad food reviews! Hands down the best all-inclusive food we’ve had in Spain
I felt compelled to leave a review because the negative comments about the food here are completely unjust. We’ve stayed in all-inclusive resorts across Majorca and the Costa del Sol, and Sol Palmanova offered the best food of them all by far.
I’m generally not a picky eater and can always find something to enjoy anywhere, but I was genuinely blown away from our very first lunch.
The Buffets & Main Meals: The lunch and dinner spreads are fantastic. There’s a fresh salad bar, beautiful loaves of bread, loads of fresh fruit, and a dedicated deli section with cheeses, cold meats, nuts, and dried fruit. Pasta lovers are well catered for. There is always stuffed pasta with custom sauces alongside a freshly baked pasta dish like lasagna or a gorgeous cannelloni. The vegetables were cooked to perfection (the aubergine was a standout!), and the hot meat and fish options were always fresh. I took a chance on the chicken breast one day and it was surprisingly juicy and tender. My husband tried the chips, burgers, and hot dogs and said they were all very good quality too.
Breakfast: An incredible spread of pastries, fruits, and fresh breads. A huge shoutout for serving tinned tomatoes instead of the usual dry grilled half tomatoes, which is a massive plus for me! The scrambled eggs were divine and properly seasoned.
Desserts: Absolutely outstanding. I usually skip desserts abroad because they often taste synthetic or heavy on alcohol, but these were exceptional. Instead of endless trays of identical, bland little jelly cubes, they serve proper, high quality full slices of cake (with around 4 different varieties per meal). The apple pie was hands down the best I’ve ever eaten, the lemon meringue was exceptional, and the carrot cake was right up there with the best.
Beyond the food, the dining hall is bright, spacious, and spotless. The service throughout the hotel is fantastic. The rooms are a standard hotel design, but they are comfortable, clean, and provide everything you need for a great stay.
The staff are hard working, efficient, and get on with making sure everything runs smoothly.
Unless you are exceptionally fussy, you will love the food here. We couldn't fault it!
Value for money , shame about the lifts
Hotel is clean & rooms done every day with a change of towels . It is a wee bit tired in some places & could do with being updated . The food was fine , you won’t starve as there was always something to eat . The problem is the lifts , we stayed in PALMANOVA 1 & to have only 1 lift working for 9 floors is awful , there is the lift that goes to the second floor but at busy times unless you are fit to walk up you can wait forever. So for that reason we would not go back , it was good value & in a great spot & the staff are very pleasant so it is a shame about the lift situation

Weather was amazing very relaxing.
We are just home from a weeks holiday at sol palmanova had a lovely time a good hotel very helpful staff lovely clean rooms and bathroom only downsize the lift broke and we have mobility issues hotel very busy we were on 6th floor.we all loved Son matias beach.weather was lovely the whole week .we were all inclusive food was lovely breakfast lunch and dinner Bar staff very friendly.plenty choices.and snacks all day.entertainment every night.our grandchildren loved the swimming pools.then walks everynight and shops are really good.mini golf fantasia are great day out.a great week .Morrisons &Camerons.

Avoid very poor hotel
We stayed in Sol Palmanova, wife and I and our 14 month old granddaughter. Rooms was so small, two single beds and the cot was wedged between the wall and the bed. This meant you could only get out one side of the bed. No room for her pram or chairs to sit on. TV was hit and miss, sometimes you couldn’t get a signal. Room was grubby and in need of up grading. We were all inclusive, foot was terrible, really geared for the Northern European marked. Our balcony looked out onto waste land and where deliveries came and went and staff hung around, so it wasn’t very enticing to site out. Poor were freezing cold so we could use. Avoid, loads hotels that offer more.

A terrible expsw extremely disappointed
A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! We stayed at this hotel for six days, and I honestly cannot believe how disappointing the experience was. We came here for a relaxing family holiday, but instead we were met with poor hygiene, terrible food, uncomfortable beds and unacceptable customer service. The room cleaning was a complete disgrace! The floor was covered in sand, and even after housekeeping had supposedly cleaned the room, the sand was still there! Dirty towels were taken away without being replaced with clean ones. We had two tea bags when we arrived, used them, and not a single one was replaced during our entire six-day stay. Is this really how a hotel should treat its guests? The beds were absolutely ridiculous! They felt like cheap folding beds on wheels, constantly sliding around the room. I have never experienced anything like this in a hotel! The food was absolutely dreadful! The same meals were served over and over again for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was hardly any variety. The fish smelled so bad that we were concerned it had gone off, and even the boiled eggs smelled unpleasant and seemed spoiled. Food quality and hygiene should be taken seriously, especially when families with young children are staying at the hotel! What upset us even more was the complete lack of care from the staff. We accidentally left our baby's water bottle in the restaurant. The restaurant staff claimed they had handed it in at reception, but reception denied receiving it. The bottle simply disappeared. We couldn't even find a suitable replacement to buy nearby. It may seem like a small thing to the hotel, but for parents travelling with a young child, it is extremely frustrating! The snack bar service was another disgrace. After returning from an excursion and missing lunch, we went to get something to eat. The woman working there was incredibly rude and unfriendly, giving us angry looks as though we were bothering her just by being there. Although the snack bar officially closed at 6:00 pm, at 5:40 pm she was already taking the salt and pepper away right in front of us and turning off the water. We felt completely unwelcome! What kind of hospitality is this? Guests pay their hard-earned money expecting cleanliness, decent food, comfort and basic respect. Unfortunately, this hotel failed in all of these areas. This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have ever had. We left feeling frustrated and deeply disappointed. Management seriously needs to address these problems instead of allowing guests to have such unpleasant experiences. I would NOT recommend this hotel, especially to families travelling with young children. We will NEVER return!
