I wasn’t a guest in the traditional sense — I visited with my girlfriend for an afternoon, spoke with the team, walked through the property and took photos. Worth mentioning upfront, but it doesn’t change what I saw.

The terrace is the moment you understand what this hotel is about. Sun beds facing the bay, beach directly below, no rush. The Beso Beach restaurant behind it — rattan pendant lights hanging from a coffered ceiling, floor-to-ceiling glass with sea views, tables set as if the evening already started — has an atmosphere that’s genuinely rare.

The lobby and common areas carry that warm, lived-in character that Zel keeps consistent across its properties. No hotel coldness, no design for design’s sake — more like spending time at someone’s home who happens to have exceptional taste.

If you know Mallorca and haven’t been to the Zel yet, it’s worth a visit — even just for a few hours.

We have just returned from the most incredible stay at Zel Mallorca Hotel, with Beso Beach Mallorca on site, for our wedding anniversary. It was honestly the best hotel experience we have ever had.

The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. The décor is beautiful, calming and stylish, with a gorgeous boho Mediterranean feel and a peaceful, zen atmosphere. Every communal area, as well as the rooms, is designed beautifully. The whole hotel feels elegant, relaxing, special and exceptionally clean. Everywhere was spotless throughout our stay, from the rooms to the communal areas, and the hotel was clearly maintained to a very high standard.

The location is also fantastic. It is in a great spot, close enough to enjoy everything nearby, but still peaceful and relaxing. We also found the hotel wonderfully quiet, with no noise issues at all, which made it even easier to properly relax and enjoy our anniversary.

As beautiful as the hotel is, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the staff. Every single member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming, professional, smiling and genuinely happy to help. The level of service throughout our stay was exceptional, and the whole team should be incredibly proud of the experience they create for guests.

The staff are an absolute credit to the hotel. The warmth, professionalism and kindness shown by the entire team made our anniversary feel incredibly special.

We would especially like to mention Sol, Emanuel, Victor and Manuel, who all made such a lasting impression on us.

Sol was amazing from the moment we arrived. She checked us in and immediately made us feel welcome. She was warm, friendly and genuinely interested in our stay. Every time we saw her at reception, she remembered us, asked what we had been doing and gave us helpful recommendations for places to visit and eat, including when we were planning our trips.

What really stood out was how natural and genuine her service felt. It never felt like she was simply doing her job; she made us feel personally looked after.

We also had an issue where a taxi driver accidentally charged us €1,000 extra for a trip to Palma. Sol helped us straight away. She called the company for us, kept us updated and continued helping until the taxi company returned to the hotel and refunded us. She turned what could have been a very stressful situation into something that was handled calmly, professionally and kindly. We were so grateful for her support.

Emanuel, who works in Beso Beach restaurant, was equally exceptional. From the moment we met him, he was friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in us as people. He took the time to ask about our stay, why we were visiting and what we were doing during our trip. My husband and I formed such a lovely connection with him over our shared love of music, and we genuinely looked forward to seeing and chatting with him whenever we ate or had drinks at Beso Beach.

Emanuel has such a warm and natural way with guests. He made us feel remembered, welcomed and valued every time we saw him.

We also want to mention Victor at Beso Beach, who was wonderful throughout our stay. He was always kind, friendly and smiling. One moment that really stood out was when we walked into the restaurant one evening and he came over, clearly happy to see us, and shook my husband’s hand and then mine. Every time we saw him after that, he greeted us warmly and made us feel so welcome.

Manuel the Experience Coordinator, was also lovely. When the coffee machine in our room was not working, he was friendly, smiley and happy to help. He arranged for someone to come to the room, and within minutes the maintenance team arrived. The efficiency was incredible, but what stood out most was how pleasant and helpful he was.

We do not give this kind of feedback lightly. I have taken one or two holidays a year for most of my life, and my husband and I have travelled all over the world and this honestly the best hotel we have ever stayed at.

The hotel is beautiful, stylish and exceptionally clean, and Beso Beach Mallorca is really a fantastic addition, but it is the staff who make the whole experience truly outstanding.
