Sol Guadalupe

We came to Sol Guadalupe in August 2026, after reading reviews I was skeptical. Well it was brilliant!! We arrived and were checked in, went to our rooms and the holiday began. We were a family of 6, 3 adults 3 children, rooms were a good size and the balcony was a good size too. Location is perfect, a short walk to the beach and the nearest shop is not even a minute walk away. They had so much on offer in the day, Adults entertainment timetable and a kids timetable. They covered all bases and the entertainment team brought a great atmosphere to the pool area in the day. Honestly everything is thought of and everyone. If you want a half board hotel with good entertainment programs this is your place, we will absolutely be returning. Food was varied and always something for everyone. Free safe and if you have any issues they will send a member of the team to sort it straight away. Special mention to the chefs who cook relentlessly fresh meat/ pasta and eggs/pancakes each sitting, Sophia, Raul, Nacho and the other guys from the entertainment team, if it wasn't for them my kids wouldn't of had such a good holiday. Hardly heard any noise, apart from the general people coming in and out on an evening but not enough to keep you awake. Overall a great experience and we will be back.

Dissapointing experience. We went here for a friends trip expecting this to be a 4 star hotel. It is far from that. Maybe it was 4 stars 10 years ago. The hotel is old, dirty staircases, dirty lifts, rooms do not get cleaned properly, furniture is old, bathrooms are unhyegenic and have broken pieces. The staff is rude and unhelpful, from reception to restaurant staff. You do not feel welcomed at all. They definetly dont feel happy working there as their attitude is undesirable. The food is horrible too, you have a few choices in the buffet but the quality is horrible. Apart from fruits, there is not much you can eat and say that it tastes good. I would not recommend and definetly not going back.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Sol Guadalupe...Couldn't ask for a better location (Short walk to the shops, beach, bars, restaurant's)

The hotel it's self..

1. The staff on reception were really friendly and helpful and if they couldn't answer they would find out the answers to any questions.

2. Hotel itself was extremely clean and tidy (Only thing I spotted was the mat outside the main door could be a trip hazard as was quite badly damaged!!) there is also 4 lifts, there are also ramps for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility.

3. The room itself was for us a little on the small side with single beds and a chair that can fold into a bed if a third person was staying also a small fridge which does its job!! the safe in the room is free to use (Don't see that very often).. No doors on the built in wardrobes so that got a bit of getting used to and there were plenty coathangers!!) The beds were really comfortable for us anyway!!... The bathroom had everything supplied (Shower gel, Shampoo/conditioner, hand soap and hair dryer which is a great touch),

The balcony was a good size, I think 4 adults would fit on it quite comfortably!!

4. Cleanliness of the rooms was fantastic, the cleaning team are fantastic, nothing was too much for them and they liked to have a laugh and banter (which we really enjoy), There is a tv on the wall in the room (we don't know what channels as we didn't go to watch tv!!)

5. Outside.. A very large pool (not the deepest but deep enough) plenty of seating from chairs to loungers (There are rules of the pool which in fairness makes using the pool more enjoyable for everyone!!), there is a kiddie pool seperate to the main pool, Plenty to join in with in and around the pool.... again extremely clean and tidy and there is also a lift to help get people in and out of the pool

6. The restaurant, This area is huge (would have to be for the size of hotel) lots of tables

Breakfast... just the usual breakfast stuff... well we did laugh when there was one day a tray of carrots, another day, Brussel sprouts the the third day Cauliflower!!

The evening meal was a really good standard of food something different each day (we were there for 1 week) the food in the bain marie' s were regularly topped up/changed and there was also fresh food being cooked on hotplates all food was very flavoursome (depending what time you go for food it may not be as hot as is could be but still really good).... Only potential problem I noticed was the lack of staff on the dining room floor as there were a lot of tables with dirty plates left for quite a while (we understand the dining room staff only have one pair of hands so its not a critisism as they all worked really hard..we did take our dirty plates/bowls to the station and cleared them ourselves (didn't even take two minutes of our time so didn't have a problem with that...the saying "Many hands make light work" comes to mind!!!!).

7. When you first get checked in to the hotel you obvioulsy get your key and some paperwork which includes what entertainment is going to be on at the pool and in the evening... I can't comment on the evening entertainment as it's not for us... but what I heard through music etc it might have been decent!!

Absolutely everyone of the staff members were really nice/helpful/courteous/friendly

All in all we had a great stay and for us only one real negative..which I suppose isn't really a negative!!

Would we stay at the Sol Guadalupe again... 100% yes (Would like a pool view next time)
