TANGERINE by HONNE Hotel

Firstly we booked this hotel not knowing that it was the previous Don Juan, Which I know had some bad reviews, with that said I only have positive opinions on this hotel, we Took a Private transfer to the hotel from the airport ( Costing 45 Euros) Upon arrival at 11.15am our room was ready.

We were allocated room 201 which was a beautiful spacious room with pool view, All rooms have soundproof windows and no noise was heard from the pool (The best air con I have ever had in Magaluf) This hotel is located away from the Strip so you are out of the way from the crowds but was a pleasant 15 minute walk to Palma Nova -10 Minutes to Magaluf beach

Pool Area was lovely and clean, And the pool is so refreshing, with the option of the Jacuzzi. There is no sunbed wars in the Tangerine! House Music is played round the pool from 12-4 which isn't to loud its all very chilled. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday Tangerine is definatly going to give you that the décor around this hotel is absolutely vibing - very much my style with a huge reception and plenty of contempary seating and photo opportunities.

Unlimited Bruch is from 8:30-13:30pm - which has so much choice, from continental breakfast, Full English Breakfast & Pastries, accompanied by Tea, Coffee, Hot chocolate, Fruit juices, freshly squeezed orange juice and waters - there is something for everyone. the Food then changes throughout the morning and more of a brunch is added - Toasties, Quiche Etc

Staff are so friendly and helpful & nothing is to much for them... Whilst having a pool day we have rebooked the Tangerine for my birthday! If I didnt rate it I wouldn't return!

Hotel is immaculately clean & I mean immaculate! I believe it deserves more stars than it has. Please don't be put off by the previous name! Tangerine is not Don Juan

I booked this trip last minute and was impressed with how lovely this hotel is and how cheap it was for the quality. Gives off luxury and beach club vibes for a great price. The hotel itself was very clean, new and modern. They have their own scent around the hotel. There is a small gym which is air conditioned and equipment was all brand new.

When i checked in, it was very quick and easy. I arrived before my room was ready, but it would have been good to have been told a little more information about the hotel. (I wouldn't have known lunch was included if I didn't read the reviews prior.) Staff were nice and polite. The older guy on the bar was very friendly and had a great vibe about him, and the night security man was also very kind and made sure I was safe when getting my early transfer.

Breakfast is buffet style runs from 8:30-1:30 so turns into lunch. And you can go up as many times as you wish during this time. I think that's great. Lots of choice, from meats, cheese, salads, cakes, juices. cooked breakfast (eggs, bacon etc) was cooked on a stove in front of you. There is also an option to freshly squeeze your own orange juice.

The pool area was relaxed and tidy. There is a small pool which is also turns into a jacuzzi. There are loungers, deck chairs, bean bags and cabana beds. Lots of choice but also never had to fight for a space. Plenty of shaded areas and umbrellas. The hotel gets a good amount of sunlight and a gentle breeze too. They play chilled house music all day which was nice and I enjoyed it, but music can get repetitive after a while.

The room was clean and beds comfortable. Great shower with great shower pressure. Smart tv with Netflix, Disney+ etc. well soundproofed, couldn't hear any noise from other guests. Small fridge in room. There isn't any tea/coffee or kettle in the room. I didn't have any conditioner. These small things weren't an issue for me but just worth mentioning for others.

The location is good, very quiet and very peaceful. You cannot hear any clubs or party's. It's all flat and about a 5 min walk to the beach and 3 min walk to the bus stop that takes you into Palma. (Bus 104). Nearest shop is at the end of the road and for drinks and snacks I found it was the cheapest (Rui long supermarket) but there is also bigger shops close by too. Short walk to the strip. Be prepared to hear the cockerels🐓 🤣 you can't really hear them when the balcony door is closed.

Overall it's a lovely hotel with room for very very small improvements. But it's the perfect hotel if you want to completely chill and relax Solo or with a partner. I feel if you want a more lively experience where you can play ball games in the pool or play music in your room/balcony then this probably isn't the place for that.

Ive really enjoyed my trip and feel more relaxed so thank you. Felt like a retreat. I would return again :)

Location, and staff - excellent. Especially Rebecca. Hotel beautifully refurbished. Sun lounges and day beds aplenty. Area around pool slippy. I would have life guard clean around the pool through the day. Breakfast / lunch lovely. Adults only therefore very peaceful place to stay. Netflix etc on TV Pool opens at 10:00 am each day - you have to wait all morning to lay on a lounger? Bar closes at 19:00 ? Cleanliness- cleaners need managing properly. Already there is buildup of dirt in and around the shower. Cleaners did not remove two cups from our room or wipe down the units. The hotel is going to become dirty very quickly if not managed. Water from shower seeps under shower door and floods bathroom. Shower heads need an overhaul. Plenty of hot water. 100 cockerels and chickens live across the road. Noise is a nuisance through night and early mornings if room facing outside of building and not the pool. Balcony lights centrally controlled. Difficulty in getting to sleep due to light coming in.
