Universal Romantica Hotel

Superb location warm welcome on arrival everywhere spotlessly clean. My room overlooked the sea and the views were stunning sadly I hadn’t realised that this would also mean my room overlooked the swimming pool. The large number of children in the pool created a lot of noise which is understandable but made it unpleasant to sit on the balcony.. The swimming pool is small and quite shallow and got very busy . When I arrived I was told that under no circumstances could sunbeds be reserved by placing your towel on it . However this rule wasn’t enforced and on some days it was impossible to make use of a sunbed. My room was well appointed very clean and spacious for one person.The shower is amazing and the supplied toiletries of very good quality. Really lovely to have a decent fridge and kettle in my room and the water station on each floor a real bonus and much appreciated There was a good selection at breakfast and this ran smoothly . I didn’t find the evening meal experience great the waitress made me feel uncomfortable when I said I didn’t want to order any drinks. My glass and the spare place setting was immediately removed which I think was uneneccessry . I do think water stations Was a brilliant idea . As I booked my holiday at the beginning of the year I hasn’t realised the hotel was really catering for families this only became clear when I read later reviews . Sadly this hotel was not for me as a solo traveller but I could see families were well catered for

A return visit to this hotel 10 years after visiting this wonderful, peaceful part of Majorca with stunning beaches close to the gem “Es Trenc”. The hotel has undergone a full renovation since we visited 10 years ago, but it has retained it small family and customer focussed service. We travelled with our son, granddaughter and had two rooms one with a sea view and one overlooking the road, both were in perfect condition and had everything we need for our stay. The bonus was the free water dispenser on each floor so you can constantly replenish you water jug in the room (or in the fridge if you want cold water). Our towels were change daily and the cleaning staff look tirelessly after rooms each day. In fact, all the staff courteous, friendly, helpful and polite. Two special mentions one for “Chaymae”, who provides an excellent service at the Skybar 7è cel, always remembering what you drink including my non-alcoholic cocktail. Also “Josh” on the Omelette station/pancakes, never to busy to smile and cook a perfect well-presented omelette each day, thank you both. Great hotel in a fantastic location for families looking for a quiet holiday near to fabulous beaches off the beaten track with a different experience from so of the other rowdy and busy resorts Majorca has.
