Although I did not stay at this hotel personally, one of my clients did, and I feel compelled to share his experience. Shortly before checking in, my client, an elderly gentleman travelling alone, was robbed in the street. His wallet, passport, and mobile phone were stolen, leaving him stranded, distressed, and unsure how he would get home the following day. As he no longer had a phone, the only way I could contact him was through the hotel reception. When I attempted to call the hotel on several occasions, the line repeatedly disconnected after ringing for some time. Understanding that reception may have been busy, but recognising the urgency of the situation, I continued trying until someone answered. Unfortunately, the response I received was shockingly rude. Rather than showing any understanding, the staff member criticised me for calling repeatedly before eventually shouting across the reception area, "Hey you, this call is for you," to my client. While the hotel did allow charges for some refreshments and a meal to be added to his room account, they refused to assist further when he needed funds to travel to the consulate and begin replacing his stolen documents. In such exceptional circumstances, a small amount of practical support or guidance would have made a significant difference. To be fair, one member of staff did kindly help by taking and sending a photograph needed by my client's brother to arrange an emergency travel document. I am grateful for that individual's assistance. Sadly, this was the only meaningful support offered. What has astonished me most is the overall lack of empathy shown towards a vulnerable, elderly traveller facing a genuine crisis in a foreign country. Hospitality is not just about providing a room; it is also about demonstrating care and compassion when guests find themselves in difficulty. On this occasion, the hotel fell well short of that expectation.
Beautiful very clean and boutiquey kind of place. My husband and i very much enjoyed our stay here. Beds were super comfortable. Robes and slippers were provided and the whole place smelt divine. The view from the balcony however was really unpleasant . Definitely could be improved upon. There were always plenty of sun beds available around the two lovely pools, however it’s a good job we were early risers as these were taken very early. Food at breakfast could have been better - very German orientated, however there was never a struggle to find something to eat. The juice machines were apalling and produced very frothy sweet drinks which tasted awful. There weren’t enough machines either so always a queue. There was a DJ at pool level a few times a week which for the first time was a bit of a novelty, was extremely annoying by the third visit. People on loungers near this area were moved too to make way for him which proved upset. What’s wrong with a little gentle background music? We hadn’t booked in at cafe mambo on Ibiza! Staff were very pleasant and polite. Nothing was a problem. We did have access to the spa facilities ( indoor pool sauna and steam) however apart from pool these weren’t working whilst we stayed here. Not sure why??
