Everything Was Great Except the Room – Pay Extra for More Comfort
Hyb Eurocalas is a really good budget-friendly family hotel. It was our first time in Mallorca, and our children never got bored at this hotel! It’s a wonderful resort in a beautiful location, perfect for exploring the island. There are different water slides, swimming pools, a kids’ club and a playground — everything you need to keep the children busy and entertained. Our children are very fussy eaters, so we were pleasantly surprised that they ate everything with such a good appetite, especially the chicken nuggets and fish fingers, which they would never normally eat! The food was delicious and varied. The selection wasn’t huge, but there was everything you needed, and you certainly wouldn’t go hungry. The only thing we didn’t like was our room in the Cabrera block. It was very old, with lots of broken things, stained bed linen, an unpleasant smell and a small, uncomfortable toilet. It was particularly difficult to fit in the bathroom with a child, as there was barely enough space for two people. We immediately asked to upgrade our room on the very same day, but unfortunately, our request was refused. We were told that there were no other rooms available. This is the only reason I’m giving the hotel 4 stars instead of 5. Everything else was great — the room was the only downside. Would we come back? Most likely, yes! We would just make sure to book a better, more comfortable room next time.

Almost 10/10
Me and my parter and 7 year old daughter came here for a few days for our daughter’s birthday, we specifically chose this place as the picture of the waterparks and everything else looked amazing.
The shuttle transfer was about an hour from Palma airport with pleasant scenery on the way, there was only 2 stops before our hotel which was good.
The hotel was very nice and well presented, we were very pleased at our initial arrival. We checked in and headed to our room which was quite disappointing. The beds were not very comfy, the toilet had a very very strong smelly scent of urine and was difficult to bare. It got really really cold at night and the sheets on the bed were far too thin to keep me warm, we had asked reception if we could have any thicker covers and we were told there was none available and to use the heater in the room (the heater did not do anything to help heat the room up) I ended up having to sleep with a jumper on and was still freezing.
We kept being woken at all hours during the night with people talking loudly, shouting and singing, our sleep was interrupted so much by so many different things which was a shame. We felt tired and ended up sleeping through breakfast each morning due to this.
We had rented a private lounge bed which was great value for money and was so much better than the normal sun loungers, we paid €30 for 2 days hire of it, I would definitely recommend this.
We had asked the restaurant if we could have a birthday cake organised and happy birthday sung to our daughter when we went to the restaurant on her birthday, we paid extra for the cake and tipped the staff as they were just amazing! Very friendly people every single one of them.
The water parks were amazing and the play park on site was great too, entertainment at night was fab - a very kid friendly place that children will love!
Hair braider on site, shop, arcades/game room too (although most machines were broken unfortunately).
Food at the all inclusive was great - a lot to choose from wether your a picky eater or not, snack bar great too and great choice of unlimited drinks and alcohol.
There was so many great things at this hotel and we would definitely return but only if the sleep/room/noise situation was sorted out otherwise it just wouldn’t be worth our while.

Real review
I went here with an open mind due to very mixed reviews, so I thought I would leave my take on the hotel. I went with my partner and little one for 10 nights. Food- I would say the food is just a basic all inclusive buffet, you always have pasta/pizza, then some nights are themed so they do put on some meat dishes, I definitely the food has room for improvement. Room- We had a double room, it had a kettle, and hot drink station which we only really used for the babies water. I do think it would be better to have a big double bed in there rather than 2 single beds, rooms are also a lot smaller than they look on the photos. Pools- here is 2 splash parks and 3 other pools, All of there were FREEZING! You’d think it’s the sun through the day they would heat out but wow were they freezing cold, we weren’t in longer than 5 mins at a time. Evening Entertainment- The mini disco doesn’t start till half 8 however it always seemed to be a bit later, for me it felt rushed as they try to cram it in, I think it would be best to start that a little bit earlier. The entertainers sometimes didn’t know the dances so it just looked messy. The external artists which were on sometimes were okay but I think overall evening entertainment has room for improvement. Beach- It shows that there is a beach close by, it’s nothing like the pictures, it was just so tiny and not worth the visit. The closest bars/restaurants and shops are about a 10 minute walk. It is only a small selection. We tried Venecia Steakhouse (I think that’s the name) that was lovely and would recommend. All the staff at the hotel were friendly and really did help if you need it, also saw reviews about towels, we had no issue there was loads in the rooms and you can hire them for 10€ get them changed over and cleaned, you get your 10€ once you return them. We did enjoy it here, we had a lovely time, we just do believe the hotel has much more potential. Lovely hotel but been here 10days and beds not changed and cups not changed room was just mopped slept in the same bed sheets for 10days complained but nothing was done and your nowhere near anything wont be back here
Great time, would return! But stage/dancefloor needs something done about it!
Just back after 7 nights here and my verdict: we would definitely go again!
Before booking I had seen some good reviews but many negatives too making me slightly on edge, but honestly we had the best time and have very little negatives about the place!
Pros:
- Our rooms were cleaned everyday, beds made and new towels
- The food was standard all inclusive but they had different themed nights every night (I am very fussy and always found something to eat!)
- The activities during the day were great for my kids and for us adults! (Water polo being our favourite and water carpets the kids)
- The place was ALWAYS clean, the toilets near the pool, very clean, the snack bar there was constantly workers going round cleaning up after everyone, even round the pool they were constantly coming round collecting old cups etc
- The entertainment at night was alright, something different every night, the kids entertainment could do with a little work (I’ll get on to that below)
- The staff at the resort were very helpful and friendly
- Free bus to the beach and back
Cons:
- we had a mild case of ants in our ground floor apartment, luckily they were only in our bathroom but there was maybe max 10 and after I killed them all, wasn’t an issue anymore
- Rooms were quite small, we had a travel cot in ours as well so not much room to move around and the toilet in the bathroom was pretty much on top of the sink
- Air con wasn’t very powerful, was fine for us as it wasn’t too hot but could imagine in warmer weather it wouldn’t be that great
- The kids disco (not really a disco) they have a stage, which can be so dangerous as we found out when we were there. Before the kids disco the kids run around on the stage, which has no barrier or anything and we actually witnessed one child fall off and hit his head on the concrete floor below 😪 there is no dance floor it is all tables and chairs and a little walkway in between stage and tables, would be much better if they removed some of the tables and chairs and made a little dance floor as when it come to the kids disco, the kids couldn’t really danced and ended up just being the anime team on stage doing the dances and the kids just stood on chairs at the stage watching
The splash parks were all so much fun and made even funner that the adults could join in! The little park was great too and the things they have to offer on an evening: bungee trampolines and they had electric cars in some evenings that you could pay for, for the kids. There’s a little shopping centre with other activities in about a 10 min walk away which was nice.
The arcade games on site - a lot of them don’t work properly.
There are wasps around the drinks area by the snack bar, but nothing can be done about that, would happen anywhere if there was sugary drinks around! But if that puts you off, inside the snack bar have the same drinks to offer where you can go.
Honestly we would definitely come back, there is so much for the kids to do and we had a great time!
