The Hipotels Bahía Cala Millor is a recently renovated, Mediterranean style 4-star hotel in Cala Millor, Majorca, with a modern and pleasing design. It is located overlooking the sea, with direct access to the beach. We have a great area for you to relax with a large terrace and plenty of sunloungers and parasols so that you can sunbathe and enjoy the tranquillity and there is also an outdoor adult pool and another pool for children.
Our first visit to this hotel , it didn't disappoint ! ..we booked a junior suite, truly spacious and loads of cupboard / wardrobe space. Immaculate clean and very comfortable beds. Rainfall shower and double sinks. There is a TV with lots of channels but unfortunately few UK main channels.
After seeing on reviews no kettles in rooms, we emailed ahead , a nesspresso machine was in our room, though for the amount that we paid for the two weeks .... to find the three pods were all that was given for the two weeks stay, and after that a euro a pod ...we were a tad surprised! ..In 30 plus years never encountered this before . Shops close by that sells nescafe sachets and tea ..or bring your own !
Stayed half board basis , breakfast was everything you could possibly think off to have .. evening meal was excellent and hot ! A gala dinner on a Thursday night with drinks and Tapas in reception before hand.
Entertainment was good , with various singers and quizzes. Plus a dJ set round the pool at times during the day . Most rooms don't get any sun at all, and half the pool doesn't get any sun till about 1pm.
Situated at the quietest end of Cala Millor , and a good 20 min walk to the nearest bar . Access to the beach via your key card is a 5 min walk . Beach is quite rocky at that end .
All said and done....we will be back ...and take our own coffee 😉
Just got back from a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were excellent the food was top class plenty of choice. This adult only hotel had nice laid back feel. No mad stampede for the poolside loungers.also a big shout out to the maids who kept our room spotless.
The property feels modern, clean and well maintained, with everything appearing relatively new and in good working order. Overall, it seems to be efficiently run and offers good value for money. As an adults-only hotel, it provides a relaxed atmosphere that is well suited to couples and adults looking for a quieter stay. The hotel is located at the southern end of Cala Millor, Mallorca. It's only a short walk to the beach, particularly the quieter, rockier southern section, while the main sandy beach is still easily accessible. This end of Cala Millor is dominated by modern hotels, including several Hipotels properties and other well-known brands. Most of the shops, bars and restaurants are found closer to the centre and northern end of Cala Millor, towards the older part of town and around the bay. The immediate area has a number of pizza restaurants and casual dining options, although if you explore a little further you'll find some very good restaurants with greater variety. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and found the breakfast buffet excellent. There was a comprehensive selection of both continental and cooked options, all served in a bright and pleasant dining room. Although we didn't stay half board, the evening buffet appeared to be of a decent standard with plenty of choice. That said, if you were dining there every night for a longer stay, it might feel more like a cafeteria experience than a traditional restaurant. One of the pleasant surprises was the poolside snack bar. It offers simple lunches and snacks at very reasonable prices, while drinks and cocktails were also competitively priced compared with many of the bars and restaurants in town. Our room included a small fridge, which was useful. There was no kettle, however, so tea and coffee lovers may want to bring a travel kettle. Another positive was that a surprisingly large number of rooms appear to have at least a balcony view of the sea, even when not specifically sold as sea-view rooms. The main area where the hotel could improve is communication of practical information. Details such as meal times, pool opening hours and other useful guest information were not always easy to find. The pool opening hours in particular seemed quite restricted, opening relatively late and closing fairly early, so clearer published information would be helpful. Overall, this is a comfortable, modern hotel in a good location, with good facilities, a very good breakfast and good value for money.
Stayed 18th-25th Aug. What a beautiful hotel this is!! From the moment we walked into the reception and saw the view of the pool and sea, we knew that we were in for a lovely stay. Upon check in, the staff on reception were very polite and helpful, and gave us pool towels and a voucher for a free drink in the bar, as well as lots of information about what was happening in the hotel. This hotel is spotless and has a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Our room was located on the first floor and was exceptionally clean, bright and modern. The bathroom was large and had a rainfall and handheld shower with free toiletries. There was a large balcony, lots of storage for clothes, a tv (mainly German channels), a free safety deposit box and a fridge. The rooms were very quiet which meant that we got a good night sleep! The pool area is beautiful, and sunbeds were always available at any time of the day as no one reserved them early in the morning. Many days we went out in the morning and could easily get sunbeds and a parasol when we returned after lunch. The pool bar is lovely, with a good choice of food and drinks and the staff were very pleasant. We ate there most days and the food was good value and tasty. We stayed for bed and breakfast and the breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. Lots of choice and freshly cooked, even champagne, which we enjoyed! We ate our breakfast on the outside balcony off the restaurant, which has a view of the pool area and sea. This was a lovely start to our day. We didn't stay in the evenings for the hotel entertainment, but others enjoyed water aerobics and activities which were provided by the animation team who were very enthusiastic. The hotel is situated right at the end of Cala Millor promenade, 2 mins walk to the beach and about 15 mins walk to the main strip, although there are a few shops and bars/ restaurants on the way, and it is a nice flat walk. It is also about a 20min walk to Sa Coma in the other direction. I cannot over emphasise what a beautiful hotel this is, definitely the nicest, most relaxing hotel that I have ever stayed in in Majorca. I would definitely return!
The hotel is perfect for a relaxing stay. The staff is very kind and helpful in all matters. Cleanliness I highly appreciated, even the public bathrooms at the hotel...you can literally eat of the floor. The rooms are also very clean, comfortable beds, modern. Especially remarkable was the attention to details, the small things that matter like a bottle of water in the room, moisturizing cream in the bathroom, fresh pool towels every day etc. The hotel is one minute from the beach, with direct path from the hotel to the beach. No sunbeds on the beach included, but you do not need any since you can stay on sunbeds at the pool and walk to the beach no more than 1 minute. The food is spectacular, during one week stay we had everything from Chicken to pork, veal, lamb, octopus, seafood, fish, differently cooked with or without sauce, grilled meat and vegetables, stewed meat or fried vegetables, pasta, french fries....you really find everything, something for everyone's taste. Sunbeds are available at the pool at all hours, no need to "reserve" them early in the morning by spreading towels on them. Simply perfect and relaxing for an adult stay.
