Hipotels Bahia Cala Millor

Just arrived home from our second visit to Bahia Cala mill or and it has to be our favorite hotel all the staff are just amazing!! remembered us from July, The food is superd we did have 1 night and morning when the lady Chef was there things just didn't seem right empty food trays empty etc but Rafael got that sorted super quick! The room ladies are so nice and work so hard, we had a problem with our tv and Pia from reception had some one there in 15mins to help us amazing! And also somone on reception she is so so lovely can't wait to return early next year xx

Spent a week here at the end of September/early October and the weather was still nice - very warm at 27/28 degrees for the first few days and then it changed over to cloudy but still warm. The pool temperature was still very warm too. Overall, I liked this hotel, it was clean and the staff were mainly friendly, especially in the restaurant. Food was mainly good but it was pretty much always the same - especially at breakfast and for a big part also for dinner (we had half board). There was plenty of choice, though. The best about the hotel is that it is basically one minute from the beach and beach promenade and next to a foresty nature reserve by the beach - really nice to go for walks and have some green surroundings. The niggles I have are that if one arrives in the middle of the night (2am in our case due to flight delays), one loses out on one dinner that one had paid for. They say there's some "buffet" in the restaurant for late-arriving guests, but there was hardly anything left at 2am in the morning, and it didn't look edible (dried up and perhaps not safe (prawns!)). After long discussions, they gave us a voucher for the last day to have a lunch at the pool bar (main dish and dessert), but we really had to fight for that. The other niggle is that apparently the hotel was full when we asked for a late check-out - even though they advertise late check-outs at reception. Our pick-up was only at 6:40pm and we had to vacate our room by 12 noon - so a lot of hanging around in the afternoon. On top of it, the cleaner entered the room without knocking at 11.45am when we were still in the room - no apologies. I thought that was not correct at all. Would I go here again? Yes, probably - mainly because of its location, although it's a bit pricey for what you actually get. And there are plenty of other hotels around to choose from - also very close to the beach and the strip.

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Hipotels Bahía Cala Millor, and what a wonderful experience from beginning to end!

From the moment we arrived, we received such a lovely warm welcome from the reception staff, along with a complimentary drink. And can I just mention the beautiful smell as you walk into the hotel? Absolutely gorgeous!

Our room was lovely, with beautiful pool and sea views. A very special thank you to Raquel, who kept our room absolutely spotless throughout our stay.

We stayed half board and honestly couldn't fault the food. Breakfast and evening meals were delicious, with so much choice every day. I must give a special mention to the potato dishes – whatever you do to your potatoes, keep doing it because they were especially delicious! 😂

The hotel is just a short walk from Cala Millor, where there are plenty of shops to explore.

We were lucky enough to be there for the end-of-year festival, held on the last Saturday in September. What a fantastic experience! Each hotel provided three dishes, and the music, atmosphere and entertainment were brilliant. One of the lovely ladies from the animation team was the DJ, and she was absolutely fantastic!

Now for the wonderful pool bar team! 🍹❤️

Where do I start with this fantastic bunch? They really were one of the highlights of our holiday, keeping us entertained, our drinks topped up and making us feel so welcome every single day.

Sergio – the main man! Always professional, with his brilliant straight-faced sense of humour! We weren't quite sure what he made of our Welsh comments at first, but I think he finally got our sense of humour by the end of the holiday! 😂 An absolute star and a real credit to the hotel.

David (Dafydd) – what a lovely young man! Always cheerful, funny and attentive, constantly asking if we needed anything. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. Such a hardworking and genuinely lovely lad.

Rafa – our very own Grandad Whistler! 😂 You certainly knew when Rafa had arrived for his shift! What a wonderful character, full of warmth, personality and good humour. And, of course, we can't forget his famous “DARLING!” because everyone is a darling to Rafa! An absolute legend! ❤️

And we certainly can't forget Sevi, Ernesto, Jose and Dani. Every one of them was fantastic, always friendly, helpful and making sure we were well looked after.

A special mention also goes to the lovely lady from the animation team who was our DJ. She was brilliant, made everyone feel included and helped create such a lovely, fun atmosphere.

What made this team so special was their ability to combine excellent service with genuine friendliness and humour. They worked incredibly hard but always had time for a smile, a chat and a laugh. We felt more like friends than guests.

To the hotel management – you should be incredibly proud of every single member of your staff. From reception and housekeeping to the restaurant, animation team and pool bar, everyone helped make our holiday so special.

Your staff really are the heart of this hotel, and it's their kindness, hard work and wonderful personalities that make guests want to return.

I sincerely hope this review is shared with all the wonderful staff mentioned, as they truly deserve the recognition. Apologies if I've spelt any names incorrectly!

Thank you all for an absolutely fantastic holiday, the laughter and the lovely memories.
