Primasol Cala d'Or Gardens

Wonderful hotel for families. NO SUNBED WARS EVEN IN JULY!!!!!!! The pool opens at 10. There are plenty of sunbeds available so no one gets up early to run for a bed. What a relief! There are 2 pools that are linked and then a separate splash park with slides for the kids with a bar, toilets and sunbeds. A lovely friendly family atmosphere. It feels safe. No groups of singles. Just families, mostly with young children. Food is great with a massive selection. Rooms are spacious and spotless. Very comfy beds and air con worked great. You can hire towels for 10 Euros cash. Entertainment is brilliant- literally something going on all the time. We did table tennis, water polo, aqua fitness, darts, waterbasketball, quizzes. The evening entertainment is really good - acrobats, singers, trapeze. Shops a few minutes walk away as well as the bus stop. Ting ting train stops right outside the hotel. The nearest beach Cala Egos is at the big hotel next door. Make sure you get there early as the sunbeds go quickly. Nice and shallow. Clear water. If you want an easy hotel with lots to do then this is the place. Very impressed

Having been to Palma and Alcudia many times before we decided to try Cal a dor. We were really pleasantly surprised with how close the town was from our hotel ( 5 minute bus ride) and how many coves there were to explore for beaches. Playa Cala Egos was a 3 minute walk from the hotel and getting there early meant it wasn’t too crowded and we got sun beds. The water was lovely and clear.

The hotel was very clean and well maintained- the room the three of us shared had plenty of space and a nice balcony. The breakfast lunch and dinner were always varied with lots of options something for everyone. The drinks options for all inclusive were great too, with special mocktails for the kids as well.

Evening entertainment was great with a kids disco every night followed by awards for everyone who had won in activities throughout the day. The entertainment was over by about 10ish so noise level was fine to sleep, and no rowdy drunken crowds.

All of the staff were amazing - Hillary one of the reps was great, always chatting to us and getting my 7 year old involved.

The hotel felt very calm and relaxed, no rush for sun beds in the morning, still plenty to choose from by 9am which is unheard of at some places we have stayed before! The kids splash park was also great in a separate area with its own sun beds and bar. Overall we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed exploring cal a dor but also just relaxing at the hotel, there was enough to do every day that each day was different.
