Super welcoming, friendly and helpful reception team, fab location - it’s beautiful. Amazing kids team which our children loved. Perfect location, pools excellent. Food - good. We would stay at this hotel again
Leaving a 3 star review as this is definately a 3 star resort. Whilst there was nothing 'wrong' with this hotel, we found it to be your bog standard 3 star resort. We were a group of 8 adults and one 15 year old, we would have stayed in an adults only but as we had a 15 year old we were limited to a family resort.
Positives: The majority of staff are the ones that make this hotel. The lady that came round the pool every single day without fail (i think her name was Alive) to check if there was anything needed for the rooms really was a diamond and was a brilliant touch to great customer service. A good location near to a beach and a nice walk into cala dor centre. 3 pool areas which provided a suitable setting for everyone. The all inclusive premium offered a good variety of drinks so there was something for everyone. The male in the animation team was always warm and welcoming wether you took part in activities or not. Plenty of wardrobe space in the Suite rooms
Negatives: No lifts in the resort which we wernt aware of (there should be staff taking cases to the room if not allocated a ground floor room as this was a task for older grandparents without a lift) and we witnessed alot of people having difficulty with prams too. The beds in the room were two singles, despite being placed next two eachother, they were done up as 2 separate beds (when we didnt book a twin room) The resort needs some TLC, there were cracked tiles, rusty mirrors, loose tiles, towels with holes in (photos attached) The water fountain at the bar was not accessible between 11pm - 10.30am due to being behind the bar shutters so no where to fill up water bottles during this time. We found the restaurant food extremely receptive and its the smallest buffet area we have experienced in an all inclusive hotel. One of the lady servers behind the bar was extremely grumpy (name badge was worn so unsure on name but 4 letters long) and another lady server took 15 mins to serve people as she was more concerned about her broken nail, whilst the bar queue grew. They clean the room every other day which is fine, but 1 of the 3 occasions, the room wasn't cleaned, so when I chased up, by the time the maid came, we were back in the room getting ready for the evening (6pm) so it wasn't convenient. If no one was already in the pool in time then aquarobics didnt happen, when if the entertainer started the activity then it would of encouraged people to join. The bar opened at 10.30am but for some reason, they would not allow some drinks until 11am. The route to the beach is not signposted at all from the family resort, we ended up walking 3 times the length of the route we should have due to not being able to find the shortcut through the resort down the the beach. Hairdryers provided are about 20 years old so make sure to pack your own or you'll be there for hours (it didnt even dry my partners hair which is short).
Recommendations; Improve standard of food in restaurant. Improve variety of food in restaurant. Place water fountain somewhere that is accessible at all times so people can access water when the bar is shut. Provide self serve soft drink machiene at main bar, not just the kids splash park bar to avoid big queues. Give the resort the TLC that it needs to improve the standard. Make it known that there are no lifts at the resort prior to booking/arriving. Provide customer service to deliver cases to rooms where customers arent placed on the ground floor. Ensure rooms are cleaned every other day as advertised. Signpost the route to the beach better from the family side of the hotel so people know how to get to it. The showers could do with being replaced as they the pressure was not ideal. Replace the hairdryers in the rooms. Provide double beds where double rooms are booked.
We had a great one-week stay at the end of August, which is still peak season. There were lots of young kids around, so I’d say it’s a really good choice for families. If you don’t have kids, I’d probably avoid peak season as the restaurant and common areas can get quite loud.
We were a couple with a 12-year-old and even though a lot of the activities and entertainment were aimed at younger children, we still had a really good time.
The hotel was very clean and we got an amazing apartment. Just something to keep in mind there are no lifts to the apartments, only stairs.
The staff were definitely the highlight. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and genuinely lovely, and they really made the holiday a 10/10 for us.
The cocktails by the pool were also surprisingly great! Unlike some all-inclusives we’ve stayed at where the cocktails are basically watered down juice, these ones were good and actually had alcohol in them, after a few I was definitely feeling it!
We also managed to do some of the activities, like archery (which we loved!) and beer pong, so us adults had some fun too.
The location is great close to Cala Ferrera and Cala Esmeralda, which was our favourite. It’s also within walking distance of plenty of shops and restaurants, which was nice for exploring in the evenings.
As for the all-inclusive food, I’d say it was better than some other all-inclusives we’ve stayed at, but not amazing. Some days there were some really tasty options, while other days the choice was much more limited, especially when it came to protein, and some dishes were quite bland. So it was a bit hit and miss, but overall still decent.
All in all, we had a really lovely week and would definitely recommend it, especially for families. The amazing staff, great location and overall atmosphere made it a really enjoyable stay.
We have just got back from a 9 night stay. It was by far the best family holiday we have had. The hotel is lovely, location is perfect. It's close to the beautiful beaches, restaurants, bars and shops etc. The staff were amazing, from the entertainment team to the reception staff. They were so welcoming and happy all the time. The kids loved them so much. The daytime entertainment was fantastic as was the evening.
We will be back next year for sure!
Thanks so much
Just returned as a family with 2 young children (6 and 3) and have had an amazing time! There’s so much going on for kids and all the children are constantly playing together around the pool because of this. The entertainment team are incredible!!
We did encounter some ants, however reception very quickly got a maintenance man to put stuff down and gave us a spray which helped massively. The staff at reception are also very helpful and a lady from guest relations tries to touch in with all guests every day.
Location is great and it’s just a short walk into the town. The beach is also lovely and worth the visit.
The food was good and we always found plenty to eat. Only thing I’d say is the snack bar could do with a bit of variety other than just ‘beige’ food. Kids loved the freezers full of ice creams they could access all the time.
So many guests in this hotel have been before and returned and I’m sure we’ll be returning too. For the cost I think it’s very good value for money and the perfect hotel for families.
