Damaged Asbestos flacking off walls and celings. On to beds and clothes. I went to the hotel reception and I was in had to go back in to this room . And they laughed at me saying no Asbestos in there 60 year old bilulding.. I asked to see the Asbestos register and they said no . Such thing is on there property.. I then explained its law if someone asks for it they have to show it .. I was then threatened was the police.. and told to return to me room with the damaged Asbestos for over 3 hours until the management could sort it .. I said thats not good enough.. the reception called the maintenance manager to the front desk .. the had a chat in Spanish.. and the maintenance manager confirmed to the reception it is Asbestos and the register is not available anymore.. and he does not know where it is .. they then told me to go back in there to collect my Asbestos covered stuff and change rooms .. allowing contamination to spread through the hotel.. and possibly every paying holiday maker.. this on top of the cocroches and the leaking pipes.. I was given a new room which still had damaged asbesto and a massive whole cut on in the asbestos and concrete. In the wardrobe.. which has fibers in that are asbestos..

Avoid this hotel. Never a 4 star.. The staff have no regard to public safety..

I’m not usually one to write reviews but after seeing a lot of negativity on trip advisor and tik tok etc I thought I should. I was apprehensive myself ahead of staying here based on what I’d seen, but genuinely couldn’t fault this hotel. We had a superior room which was so spacious, beds very comfortable and was kept really clean our whole holiday. Air con was on from the moment we arrived until the minute we left with no issues, definitely needed! Shower was a lovely temperature also. We were always at the pool next to the all inclusive bar where we managed to get sunbeds easily no matter what time - latest we arrived was around 12:30 with no problem at all. Food was decent, what you’d expect from an all inclusive. We typically ate out each night as we’d been watching the World Cup games, but can imagine lunch/dinner would get repetitive if choosing to have all meals here. You have to pay 1 euro deposit in cash per cup, but they get replaced each time you get a drink and money back when you’re done so not an issue at all. Although there is only one bar for all inclusive there was very little wait for drinks, max we probably waited was about 2 minutes if that! Staff were lovely, guests in the hotel were nice, the pizzeria was delicious - not included in the all inclusive but you do get a discount. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants a 2 minute walk away, and Cala d’Or is only about a 5-7 minute taxi or a 30 minute walk across the marina which we’d definitely recommend! I hope this helps others with some reservations about staying here as we couldn’t fault a thing. There was genuinely nothing to complain about and we will for sure be back - great value for money! :)

The public areas are well maintained and the pools are nice. No problems getting a lounger but those around the pool get taken early.

Nicely located midway between to nice little beaches and a reasonably sized centre with bars and restaurants (though the main centre is bigger and about 35 mins walk but takes you past a lovely marina).

The condition of the room (superior) itself seemed fine. Nice shower and the largest sun terrace ive had at a hotel before. Why there are no sun loungers on individual terraces seems like a missed chance to me. No parasol either made the terrace hard work at pretty much any point in the day with no shade.

On arrival I found the kettle was broken and apparently the safe is self assembly!! First time ever I've been given a lock barrel to install it myself! After trying the second barrel out of the receptionists man-draw and finding it didn't fit, i asked for my money back and did without.

As has been mentioned, the entertainment isn't great. Personally I'd rather have a peaceful hotel and go looking off site for entertainment but this seems to be the all-inclusive culture at this hotel. A guy turns up next to the pool twice a day with an amp turned right up and gets a few doing his half baked version of aquarobics or water polo. With how close he puts the amp (mains fed from an extension lead) to the pool, they're one clumsy stumble away from a pool full of dead tourists.

Im glad I didn't go all-inclusive because on the one lazy occasion we chose to buy into the buffet, i thought it wasn't good. Under-cooked meat and little else of interest left me thinking to be facing that every day would've had me looking elsewhere.

The air conditioning only works when the terrace doors are closed. Makes sense i guess but had to ask reception with no written instructions to be found.

One of the locks didn't work on the terrace doors. Thankfully we were on the top floor.

Oh and the phone didn't work so any questions, i had to go to reception in person.

There were of course positives like the afore mentioned location and well kept public areas, drinks were reasonably priced at the bar, and I found the staff to be polite and generally helpful.

Would I recommend or return? There are worse places but based on the public veneer, i expected better. I wouldn't say don't go because your expectations might differ from mine but I won't be staying there again.
