Services and facilities include a currency exchange service, a car rental service, medical assistance, 24-hour room service (for a fee) and a laundry service. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on vacation. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and 4 elevators. Most of rooms include a balcony or terrace as a standard feature. Valuables can be securely stored in a safe. Guests will also find a mini fridge included among the standard features. Other features include a telephone, a flatscreen television with satellite channels and WiFi (no extra charge). A hairdryer is available in the bathrooms. Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed here in July as a couple in our 20s. Firstly, the bay area is beautiful and the views from the balconies are stunning. The sunbed wars however are out of hand and you are lucky to get a lounger last 9am anywhere decent. This really needs sorting out and the empty towels removing. I did think the staff were very helpful, attentive, and room cleaning service was very good. We were in the 1st building.
The food at breakfast was good, but evening meal the meat was pretty dire. The beef on enchilada night was inedible. We ended up eating out most nights.
The rooms are incredibly noisy at night. We were on the same floor as reception and I wish we had asked to move rooms, as it was extremely frustrating not being able to sleep and being woken at all hours from the noise, even through earplugs.
The overall finish of the hotel has really gone downhill as well, cracked tiles around the pool, poorly maintained areas, tiles missing. We were here in 2023 and really loved it here, so it was a shame.
Overall for the money this place is charging, I absolutely would go elsewhere. We met our friends at Barcelo who paid far less and had a much better experience. We found this really disappointing and I wouldn’t be returning, after being so excited to come back after a previous amazing stay in 2023.
We were really looking forward to staying here, as the hotel was advertised as a relaxing adults-only resort. We paid extra money for this through our travel agents in VING when we could have picked a much cheaper hotel. Unfortunately, this was far from our experience. We paid a lot for an adults-only holiday and feel misled by the description and photos.
Our room was in an old and very worn building away from the main hotel. It was not properly cleaned on arrival, with black hairs in the shower, sink, toilet and bed, a dirty balcony overlooking a rubbish area, and even empty beer cans outside. The room was extremely poorly soundproofed, so we could hear conversations, TVs, hairdryers and loud music from neighbouring rooms throughout the day and night. Wi-Fi barely worked in the hotel during our stay.
Housekeeping was also very disappointing. The room was not properly cleaned during our week, rubbish was not consistently removed, surfaces were left dirty and the bed was never changed. The rest of the hotel was equally worn and dirty, with sand and dirt throughout the corridors. There was also a strong sewage smell around the property and the tap and shower water was extremely salty, we had the feeling of not getting clean showering in this.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the “adults-only” concept. Although only adults can stay at the hotel, the beach is public and families with children constantly pass through the hotel area. Children were everywhere, with noise, toys, strollers and even rubbish and used nappies being left around the area. This is absolutely not the peaceful, adults-only experience we expected.
There were also far too few sun loungers for the number of guests. Guests were reserving them from early morning, resulting in arguments and a very stressful atmosphere. In the description the hotel promise to remove towels if people reserve sunbeds without using them, but they don’t. The pool area was crowded and noisy, with loud music and a DJ during the day playing «danza kuduro» on repeat and entertainment in the evening was poor. Guests were smoking and vaping around the pool despite designated smoking areas, and we even smelled cannabis several times while sitting by the pool and eating in the restaurants. The hotel staff was aware of the problem and did nothing.
We were also disappointed to discover that several facilities shown in the booking photos are not freely available. Some pool areas and daybeds require additional payment or membership, which was not made clear when booking. The hotel advertises four pools, but not all of them are accessible to regular guests. The balinese beds in the booking pictures require a reservation and for you to spend 80-90 euros per day on a beverage package.
The food was another major disappointment. Despite the large selection, the quality was poor and much of it tasted bland or artificial. Even the water in the buffet tasted like chlorine. à la carte food was bad, and appeared to be reheated, and a pizza we ordered from the snack bar tasted strongly of mould and had to be thrown away.
The staff were generally not very welcoming or service-minded, which only added to the disappointing experience. Overall, this hotel did not come close to the relaxing, high-quality adults-only resort we believed we had booked. The photos and description give a very different impression from the reality. Based on our experience, we would not rate this as the 4-star adults-only experience advertised. It’s more like a 3, or even 2 star hotel. We are very glad we had another hotel booked for the second half of our holiday. If not, we would have been really disappointed with our holiday in Mallorca. When you wish to go home after a few days on holiday something is reallly wrong, and we would definitely not return to this hotel ever again!
We enjoyed our 5 night stay at this hotel. Staff in the main reception were really friendly and attentive - giving us a welcome drink of cava when we arrived.
We stayed in the ‘my favourite club’ part and it was definitely worth it. The views of Cala egos beach/cove were incredible. Rooms were basic but spacious and clean. They have multiple pools and quieter areas of the hotel. The ‘fancy bar’ was a nice touch for soft drinks and snacks that were included in our stay. We had half board but only had breakfast as we ate in Cala d’Or every night so can’t comment on the evening meals but there was a few different restaurants to choose from. Breakfast was really nice - you can choose from the buffet or order from a small menu or both. Russuan the waiter was always so friendly and chatty to us every morning - what a lovely guy who is great at his job. We found all the staff in this hotel to be friendly, attentive and helpful.
Checkout was at 12pm which always makes a huge difference on your last day. The only problem we had was that we didn’t realise that the hotel was a 40-50 minute walk into Cala d’Or, so we did have to wait around for taxis each night which can be really difficult during peak season. However, taxis were reasonably priced and safe. Being slightly more out the way of the centre meant that our hotel was less busy and chaotic but still had lots of people staying from all over the world.
I would recommend this hotel, especially if you don’t mind being a little further from the chaos, however, if we do come back in the future we will probably stay more in the centre just to save on money/time with the taxis.
Beach is left a mess, towel, floats and rubbish left over it and not cleans up in the morning. Shame as it looks idealic on the website but it’s not maintained sadly. Whole hotel is ok, ticks over but they are not interested in doing the best or being the best they can be
Recommend this hotel, we had My Favorite Club access which was a very nice addition - the breakfast option was great, and overall service & housekeeping was very good. The beach area was very busy, taxis were a challenge to get hold of, people were often waiting 30+ mins to Cala D’Or etc. if you’re happy to walk the marina is a decent 15min walk and Cala D’Or is about 35 mins. The Ting,Ting car/street train is a good option as an alternative.
