Relaxia Olivina

Starting with the positives, we went in September 26 as a couple, weather was hitting 30 every day and we loved the local area wth the hotel only a 5 minute walk to the beach front with lots of Bars and restaraunts. Atmosphere in the hotel was relaxed and we met english tourists who socialised. Poor points. to be clear we stayed in the annex room 407 and not the main part of the hotel. Internet was non existent, rooms were dated and needs to be upgraded, loose electrical sockets makes it a health risk if you have children, rust and dirt in the bath and around the plugs. no amenaties in the room not even a bin to put your rubbish in, you had to take it to the bins around the pool area which was only emptied once a day and were overflowing. Pool area was not cleaned during our stay with multile guests raising this with the hotel. At times we found cockaroaches in our room and one of the neighboring ground floor rooms was burgled during the night due to leaving the patio doors open due to the heat and there being no air conditioning in the rooms. Pool area in the annex had a small area for snacks and drinks (But only between 10.30-5.30 - snacks were never provided only drinks from macines (Beer/wine/soft drinks) but most of the time they were empty and only provided the flushing out water which was disgusting so you had to go to the main hotel for any drinks and snacks.

i could carry on but i think you get the picture by now. we travel to the canary islands 4/5 times a year and there are much better hotels to stay at and despite the above we never let it spoil our holiday. given our experiance i would only give this hotel a 2 star rating and other guest we spoke to felt the same with quite a few contacting Jet2 to try and get moved to other hotels. i dont normally write reviews as i believe we all have different expectation when we go away and for every bad review someone will have a different opinions. and as i have alreadt said above we didnt let our experiance spoil our stay as we love the Islands

Have been to this hotel 5 times and it dos'nt dissapoint and this year was even better because of the Animation / Entertainement team who were a force to be recond with due to thier sheer energy and get up and go attitude, but if you did'nt to join in (i did),no pressure, just a thank you, enjoy your day, brilliant team 10/10.

The staff in this hotel are so helpful and friendly and fine all they could to help with any queries. The rooms are good and cleaners always dibeca great job. I would most likely rate this hotel a 3* though instead of 4* as there was rust on bath tub etc, which doesn't bother me.. Everything is so clean. I didn't see any insects in the rooms which was fab.. The pool area where we were was lovely and peaceful and again clean and tidy. Nightly entertainment was also very good with live music shows most nights we were there.. great selection of quality food fir every sitting also. A lot freshly cooked before your eyes.. it will a also quite handy to all shops and barexand beaches.. there's few active beaches which are lovely nearby.. all within 5mins -15 mins walk away from hotel.
