This lovely hotel is in Playa de los Pocillos, steps from one of Lanzarote's most popular beaches, on the south coast of the island. As well as the beach, the hotel is within walking distance of the laid back resort of Los Pocillos. If you're looking for more bustle or lively entertainment, the major resort of Puerto del Carmen is a short drive away.
At Hotel Pocillos Playa, you can spend a day soaking up the sun before cooling off in the outdoor pool. • Close to the beach • Quiet location • Close to the lively center of Puerto del Carmen
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This small compact hotel is nice and quiet. Very clean with decent food available each day. For the guys- San Miguel on tap was a bonus. The tenner a day upgrade is worth it for your own tea/coffee, wine, soft drinks and beer self service at the end away from the main pool with lovely large padded loungers and parasols.Only 5 euros each way into the main strip in Puerto Del Carmen- It's like a mini Southern Ireland - Irish themed bars ever other building. Some decent restaurants too
This hotel is very good, is located 5 minutes to the beach and shops. The food sometimes is good but sometimes is not, depend on the theme. The girl who does the entertainment is brilliant, but when she is not working the shows could be better. Special mention to the manager, he is always there when you need him.
Good points: Nice, small adults only hotel in a very good location, close to the beach & a few bars & restaurants on the lovely promenade. Away from the busier town of Puerto del Carmen, but within walking distance (approx. 20-40 mins depending on your pace & the heat), but there is a bus for €1.40 one way, but a good walk to get to the bus stop to get back to the hotel with it being a one way road in the town. Food in the hotel is very good with lots of variety & something for everyone. The breakfasts were especially good. Rooms spacious. We had rooms 206 & 209. Nice choice of all inclusive drinks. Pool area nice, good & clean. Sometimes a little issue in getting sun loungers, as although against hotel policy, people are still reserving early & not using them for hours. Pool itself is very refreshing. Nice touch with a separate jacuzzi. A few mid-mornings a week (or every morning, I’m not too sure), the kitchen staff walk around the pool area offering fruit salads & canapes. Again a really nice touch. Aida the entertainment lady is a lot of fun & gets people up & involved if they want to, with no pressure. A lovely person too, remembers your names & takes an interest in you & makes you laugh. She has a great personality. She offers Sangria twice a week around the pool as well. A lovely friendly white/gingery cat called Luna frequently strolls around & loves being stroked & fussed. She’s very playful too. Points for improvement: In room 206, there was an unpleasant drainy smell that never seemed to go. The toilet, sink or shower drain wasn’t blocked, so we didn’t report the smell, however in room 209 opposite, (but not attached to 206), we had a problem with the shower drain as it was blocked, causing water to leak onto the bathroom floor. We did report this, twice & the maintenance man did his best to unblock & added a aluminium strip between the shower glass & wall. We found that it was best to keep switching the shower off while washing, & turning on again to rinse off, rather than keep the shower running, otherwise it wouldn’t drain quick enough. We think you need to address the drains across the hotel, as I don’t think it was just our room. As for the all inclusive drinks, although a nice selection, maybe the bar staff need a little re-training to promote consistency, as when ordering a (lovely tasting I must add) iced coffee, depending on who served you, depended on the amount you got & the beaker or cup size it was given in, therefore sometimes a good size, & sometimes only a few sips! Also one of the cocktails, the Strawberry Daiquiri, seemed to be made & taste differently, again depending on who served you. So as mentioned, it would be good if all the bar staff were made aware to make all drinks the same & served in the same quantity/beaker/glass.
All the staff here did work very hard & it didn’t go unnoticed.
All in all we had a great stay & would probably return 😊
Lovely, quiet and relaxing. The staff are really friendly and the entertainment lady is amazing and such a laugh. Room is lovely and spotlessly clean. Lots of variety of food and drinks, they are good for all inclusive. Perfect location, five minutes to the beach and bus and it's five euros taxi to go to the main street.
It's been really good. Lots of fun, the girl who does the activities makes it so fun 10 /10. The professional shows are good but just been singers, we would like more variety show like dancers or acrobatics. Food has been brilliant, the themed nights are lovely, always fresh and warm. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are comfortable, we got a bath with a little shower but some people have walking showers. The only problem was ants in the bathroom but reception sprayed right away when reported.
