Lava Beach Hotel

We have just had the most the amazing 7 nights at lava beach! From start to finish we could not fault the hotel at all

We decided to go bed and breakfast as we have previously stayed in the area with family and know that there are plenty of places to eat and drink out around, whether that be a 5 minute walk outside the hotel or a 10 minute scooter/5 minute taxi/30 minute walk to the main “strip” of restaurants/bars/clubs. The breakfast here is amazing, so tasty and plenty of choice - fresh omelettes which are made in front of you, variety of food which changes every day as well as your staple breakfast items. The staff were super friendly, offering coffee and help whenever needed - the restaurant too was really lovely - a perfect way to start the day

We also made use of the spa and booked a couples massage - it was brilliant, great value for money and super relaxing - the spa staff were amazing too!

I’ve got to say that one of the best things about this place is the rule about not reserving sunbeds - this was very well managed by the lifeguard on duty and it allowed us to get up and enjoy our breakfast and make our way down to the pool late morning without the need to hunt for a sunbed as there were plenty for everyone. The sunbeds themselves were very comfy as well as the beds. The pool bar is great, offering drinks after 11 (I think it was) as well as the lovely snacks on offer for lunch - there was waiter service to the sunbeds with a buzzer which we could use whenever we wanted to order another drink or food. The towel service is great too , you get given 2 towels cards at reception on arrival where you can exchange your towels everyday for fresh ones.

The reception staff are very helpful as well - and the evening entertainment was perfect. We spent most of our evenings out but would come back to see the last of the evening music where there was a lot of variety for everyone

The rooms were immaculately clean on arrival and everyday once the cleaner had been. You get a hairdryer in the room as well as plenty of plug sockets, a coffee machine, a mini fridge with drinks on arrival such as coke, white wine, sprite and sparking water (you need to pay for ones thereafter), 2 bottles of fresh still water everyday free of charge, and a TV which offers a wide range of channels of all languages. The shower is great at high pressure with the use of a hose or the soaker. We booked the standard room and got two very comfy chairs plus a sunbed on the balcony which was a lovely way to start the morning/end the evening.

There is a hiperdino shop next door to the hotel which has basically all the food and drink that you need as well as spar shops locally too. There is also a bus stop about a 2 minute walk from the front of the hotel too which can take you to arrecife and Costa teguise for no more than €5 which are also great places to visit.

This was the best first couples holiday we could’ve asked for and this will definetly hold a special place in our hearts - we even got the gps coordinates of lava beach tattooed on our ankles to forever remember this holiday! We will 10000000% be back⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stunning pretty much sums it up - spotlessly clean everywhere

We arrived early evening, checked in with a refreshing welcome drink and off to our room in mere moments

Room was a decent size, lots of storage space, good quality amenities and the walk in shower was powerful and had the addition of a hand held attachment which I like and the towels actually wrapped around properly

The Japanese style toilet amused my current husband immensely when he eventually worked out the controls

Large balcony with a partial view over the main pool had the sun from mid afternoon until sunset which was great

Bed was large and very comfortable, decent amount of pillows too which makes a pleasant change

Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and all very tasty - best of all were decent sized cups (saved several trips)

We were there for a birthday and an anniversary and were gifted a bottle of fizz on both occasions which was thoughtful

The grounds are beautifully tended and looked immaculate - who knew there were such an array of cacti!

Current husband made use of the spa facilities and thoroughly enjoyed the massages

Sun loungers were plentiful and every day we managed to procure one of the cabana type beds that were incredibly comfortable (I spent all day on it without fidgeting) and the canopy meant you had shade as and when required

Ideally situated for pretty much everything, decent restaurants a few steps away and within walking distance of PDC along a nice flat promenade which we did every evening before and after dinner to assuage the calories consumed

To the left once through the grounds at the back of the property you can walk alongside the runway to watch the planes take off and land which we did most mornings - can't hear any air traffic either

All in all it was fab, loved it, haven't stopped talking about it and I'm telling everyone what a great time we had - we will be returning
