Surrounded by tropical gardens, the modern beach hotel Hipotels La Geria is situated first line to the beautiful, broad sandy beach and the crystal-clear waters of Pocillos. The centre of the tourist resort Puerto del Carmen as well as the Lanzarote Golf Resort are just a few minutes away by car, and the impressive Timinfaya National Park can be reached within a short drive. The international airport is also just a few minutes away. The excellent hotel offers wonderfully appointed rooms with a clean, modern decoration. Features include WIFI, air-conditioning, satellite-TV and a balcony or terrace. The hotel has a fantastic pool landscape with a large pool, surrounded by palm trees and terraces with sun loungers and parasols. There is a children's pool and a playground, as well as a gym, a sauna, a diving school and free WIFI in the lobby. This is a perfect hotel for couples or families with children wishing to spend a nice holiday under the sun.
My family and I stayed here last week and were happy with all the service they provided.
8 nights at this lovely hotel with family including 13 months Grandson. We requested nearby rooms on the ground floor and that is exactly what we got, next door to each other with a view of the gardens and ocean. Hotel was spotless, half the group did AI for 2 days and said the food was good including lots of options for the baby which we struggled to find when eating out. A mix of international guests and different age groups although mainly families and older guests. If you are looking for a clean, chilled out place to stay this hotel is the one, we would definitely go back. Thank you La Geria for a wonderful stay
Excellent hotel in nice location. Our 2nd year in a row here, and again we stayed in one of the suites which overlooks the sea and pool. Due to my wife having mobility issues this type of suite is perfect for us as it has sunloungers on the balcony. It has two balconies so just choose which one you want the sunlounger(s) on. A warm welcome at reception when we arrived and throughout the stay the reception staff couldn't be more helpful. We were bed/breakfast but did upgrade to All Inclusive twice for two days each time. Worth asking if they have deals on this if you are considering it. As stated before the food could be hotter but there was a microwave so breakfast was a bit of a military excercise in getting the food on the plate, microwave it and then add the fried egg. My wife organising the fresh orange, tea and toast so it all came together at the same time. They have urns for boiling water for your tea (or anything else) so no need to hang about for ages at the coffee machine. Only had lunch / dinner a couple of times and it was fine. Plenty of choice. The hotel is spotless and as it only has 2 floors above reception (4 in total) no waiting ages for a lift. Out the front gate, turn left, and only a few minutes walk to Marcos bar, or the Jungla, both I'd recommend for a pleasant drink. Or, out the front gate and a taxi into the main resort, four euros. All going well we'll be back again next year.
Lovely hotel, staff are great and the place is very well kept
The AI music that plays for the water activities is absolutely horrendous and completely ruins the relaxing/chilled experience. I appreciate they are trying to create a bit of energy for the water sports, but use real music, not terrible AI generated songs. If it wasn’t for that, I’d have no complaints about the place.
The hotel was lovely and exceptionally clean, everywhere. Housekeeping / maintenance / gardeners were very efficient and effective in maintaining the up keep of the communal areas. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, in that it was situated in a quiet location, yet 10 minutes in a taxi from the airport. All staff were amazing and very helpful, from reception to catering, from bar staff to snack bar and pool area (lifeguard). The pool area was kept very clean throughout the day, however, some heating of the pool would have been appreciated. There is no heating whatsoever which meant the pool wasnt busy at any time! There was never a time when we couldn't get a sunbed by the pool, there were always plenty available. Bring pegs for towels to be secured to sunbed due to the wind! The snack bar and pool bar was lovely with great variety. The ice cream machine was a lovely touch but was broken for a few days, but replaced during our stay with a brand new one. The entertainment at night was a nice touch. Some acts were better than others, but still entertaining. It was great to sit at the bar to enjoy the entertainment, or equally sit on our balcony. Music stopped by 22.30 hours each night, which was no problem at all. The air conditioning in the rooms could do with some upgrading as it was completely ineffective and didnt drop below 25°C. We did have to leave this on all night to be able to sleep. A nice little touch was a huge selection of books / lending library near to reception. Great idea! Would definitely stay here again.
