This family-friendly apartment complex is conveniently situated in the popular holiday resort of Puerto del Carmen in the south of Lanzarote. The closest beach, Playa Chica, can be reached within a short stroll, while the Biosfera shopping centre is only 800 metres away. The centre of Puerto del Carmen with its bars, restaurants and nightclubs is just a short stroll away. Lanzarote International Airport can be reached within a short drive. Completely renovated in 2013, the village-style apartment complex with its typical white-washed architecture offers one- and two-bedroom apartments. They have a friendly and inviting interior design, and features include air-conditioning, flat-screen TV and complimentary WIFI. Younger guests will love the mini-club, the playground and the children's pool, while not-so-young guests will appreciate the outdoor pool, the fitness facilities and the chill-out club bar. A perfect place for a sunny holiday.

The staff are the stars!
Our 2nd visit to this hotel. Two adults and our daughter stayed for 13 nights starting 20th June 2026. We left a lengthy positive review after our first visit last November and we are glad to say that the high standard of everything was just as good.
We had requested a room on the top floor overlooking the pool and we were accommodated no problem. No complaints about anything - room cleaned every day with fresh towels, comfortable beds, great selection of food both for breakfast and dinner, lovely pool area. If we had anything to say it would be the following small things.
The pool bar gets very busy when food is available to order between 1 and 4pm. Having just one bar staff there means the queue can be slow to move. The food is delicious and great value.
The hotel tries its best to discourage people ‘reserving’ sunbeds with towels but this is nearly impossible to enforce - we saw towels down as early as 7am.
We found the dinner time of 7pm just a little late for us (it was 6.30 pm last November) but I’m sure the restaurant knows its business.
The staff are the best thing about the Gloria - our daughter says that they look like they enjoy their jobs. There are too many to mention but we would love to thank Ismael, Pedro, Christopher and Jose in particular, along with all of the lovely ladies at reception. Nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment guy was great fun - don’t know where he got the energy from!!!

Little Gem on the Hill
The location is not for everyone being at the top of a hill but taxis are relatively inexpensive and also a bus stop close by means you can get a bus back from the strip at night at a reasonable time The hotel is very nice with friendly staff both at reception and restaurant The restaurant staff can be over keen to take away your plates etc but they mean well and are always pleasant The rooms are functional and clean , walk in shower and fresh towels are changed daily when the rooms are cleaned the kitchen area is adequate and all utensils supplied that you need along with a fridge with small ice box Never had. Issue getting a sun bed but they say they monitor the early sunbed joggers but never saw this in the 4 weeks I was there Great Hotel and certainly value for money There is evening entertainment and also various things put on across the day/evening for the children to participate The entertainment organiser is superb and can’t speak highly enough of him The Jet 2 rep that comes around often is also great and only to helpful either any questions or problems All in all simply a great hotel and the staff are a credit to the hotel
Glorious Gloria Hotel
Loved every minute of being at this hotel. The apartment was thoroughly cleaned every day without fail, staff were excellent, food was amazing, drinks were cheap to buy and full of variety, could always get a sunbed. Location is near a hill so please be warned if you struggle with mobility, but taxi’s are pretty cheap. Close to pretty much everything such as restaurants, bars and shops, about a 10 minute walk to the main strip too.
For the price you pay it’s worth every penny.
The only problem we had was when our aircon stopped working at 1am and wasn’t fixed until 2am and the receptionist didn’t know what we were trying to ask so with a little bit of broken Spanish and translating apps we managed to sort it out. There was also no fans to offer in case it wasn’t able to be fixed that morning. As it was working again I don’t think the hotel deserves to have a star knocked off as everything else was perfectly fine. Sleep was also never an issue other than the aircon problem that one night and the hotel is pretty close to main roads so we were shocked to not have disturbed sleep
I will 100% return to this hotel as it was great value and everybody was so friendly and made the stay so enjoyable.
Brilliant resort
Great hotel. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. The food in the main restaurant was fantastic with lots of variety, the pool bar food and drinks were also great and the grandchildren loved eating here during the day. Pina Coladas were very nice !! The pool was clean and well maintained. But the highlight has to be the friendliness of the staff. From reception , cleaning staff and serving staff, everyone was so pleasant. Ishmael Pablo and Jessie were all fantastic and great at their jobs.
Fantastic holiday
We have just returned from a 7 day stay at Gloria Izaro and had a fantastic holiday. ALL of the staff, from maids, maintenance, restaurant/ bar staff, lifeguard, entertainment staff, reception staff cannot do enough for you and are a credit to the hotel 👏🏼 The food was lovely - plenty choice at breakfast and dinner, the food and drink at the pool bar are also brilliant. So much effort goes in to making sure everyone has a good time. We really felt well looked after and that everyone genuinely cared. The room was spacious, we didn’t have a balcony but had a terrace. We were a little disappointed and upon arrival were offered an alternative room. The pool and grounds are immaculate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you Gloria Izaro - we would 100% return 🤍
