Fariones Hotel

We stayed at the Yaiza sister hotel in playa Blanca and it was so good , we book the Fariones and we were not disappointed. Everything about our stay was excellent. I would like to make one small suggestion regarding the lower area with sun loungers though. This area has glass privacy panels that have a lovely transfer on them, but in my opinion , the problem is that there transfers block the view of the sea and i imagine many of your visitors are not lucky enough to live close to the sea and would like to see it on holidays. So i suggest that the next time this area has a make over or maintenance that the transfers are replaced with transfers that allow the visitors inside to look out to see the sea, but also prevents outsiders looking in.

We booked our break with Jet 2 indulgence holidays. Our package included 25 kg of luggage each, private transfers each way and a few other goodies thrown in too. We were expecting a good holiday. We arrived at Hotel Fariones as it was turning dark and it looked like most other hotels in the area but that is where the similarities ended. We were greeted by a bellhop to take our cases, shown immediately to reception to check in and then offered food in the restaurant. We didn’t expect that as it was a 9pm arrival. The room we booked was a junior suite with a sea view and boy did we get a sea view. The room was a great size. The balcony wasn’t huge but more than enough to accommodate two arm chairs and a table. The hotel was absolutely immaculate inside and out. They clearly go the extra mile to keep the whole area spotless. The reception/ lounge area had a wonderful mix of beautiful antiques and modern pieces sitting comfortably side by side. We had booked half board and both meals didn’t disappoint. Plenty of options both breakfast and evening meal. The waiting staff were quick to clear any used plates and always with a smile. Good old fashioned manners. Even when ordering a drink from either the pool bar or the lounge bar the staff were always happy and polite. Pedro clearly had a good influence on them all. He always seemed super happy regardless of the time of day and this rubbed off on the staff. There were plenty of areas to sunbathe and more than enough loungers to round so no issues with having to get up and reserve them. The infinity pool was clean and refreshing given the heat. Pool towels were supplied free of charge and you could change them as often as you wanted. We even had our own little beach cove which was nice. The hotel is perfectly placed between the old town and the main strip. Just a few minutes walk in either direction to each. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed if you wanted them. We had chocolates on the pillows most nights. If I had to find any negativity it would these

1. water with the evening meal should be included not charged extra for
2. The cushions on the sun loungers need changing they are a little tired

However they are the only 2 negative points I can make about the hotel. We booked 5 star and by god we got 5 star. I have never returned to a hotel two years on the bounce but I am already booking for next year I was that impressed,

This is a beautiful hotel with exceptional staff.

We booked a suite with a hot tub. The hot tub was huge.

We had room 442 which had lovely views to the sea.

The beach bag and flip flops left in the room were a nice touch.

Having booked a suite it gave access to the rooftop terrace. This was quiet and peaceful and on a number of occasions we had the whole rooftop and pool to ourselves.

During our stay my Mum had her birthday and the room was decorated by staff with bunting and a cake which was lovely.

The buffet breakfast was extensive and because the dining area is large people aren't on top of each other.

The direct access from the hotel onto a small beach was a bonus.

We were at the hotel when 60th anniversary celebrations were taking place and enjoyed the firework display.

My only criticism is the interrupted sleep on a few occasions at 3 am caused by inconsiderate guests. This is not the fault of the hotel. They offered to change our room but as we only had a couple of days of our stay left we declined.

A 5* hotel that provides everything you need for a wonderful stay.
