Great hotel- great for the price

I thought this hotel was in a great location. Transfer dropped us off a street away which I didnt find a problem. 20 minutes away from the airport. About a 20 minute walk down hill to the strip. A nice walk and lots of shops and bars/restaurants on the way. Would recommend a taxi back up if mobility is an issue. Less than €5. Was greeted by a young lad during the day and found he was helpful and friendly. Was told to take a picture of the all inclusive dining times. Our room was dated and could have been doing with a good mop,husband was disappointed at first until he seen past the dated room and hey it was £625 all inclusive.Beds wasn't the best for comfort but they was clean. No kettle in room,fridge was ok. No bottled water provided. But you can buy big bottles from reception for €2. Towels provided for showering,changed every 2 days. No air-conditioning,but you can rent fans for €25. Hand wash and shower gel in the bathroom along with 2 rolls of toilet paper. All inclusive food we found to be nice,no issues at all. Was something to eat every meal time. Drinks was good,coffee ok. Beer was san Miguel. Wine not very nice. There's spirits also. Some of the staff in the dining area I found a little pathetic,was very hot in there and wouldnt allow windows open. Poolside bar staff are lovely. Bobby was our fave. This was a 4 day break for myself and husband and enjoyed it. We made the most of venturing around puerto del Carmen.I wouldn't recommend children staying here although there was a few. We met some lovely people at this hotel,but there was some who let it down. Snorting cocaine around the hotel and causing a scene at daft hours. I reported the issue as I had not slept at all that night,and staff were fantastic. Soon spoke with the person and stopped them using alcohol on the premises. Couldn't fault the staff. I would recommend this hotel and I would go back. See past the dated rooms if its a short stay.

Arrived around 9:30pm in a hire car in the dark. On street parking outside hotel. In reception was greeted by a young man, didn’t get his name, he was polite and check in took around 5 minutes. We were told to take a picture of the restaurant times and the sheet went back under the counter. Bit bizarre as never had that before.

Hotel is on two sides of the road and our room/apartment was on the opposite side of the road to the main complex. It was easy enough to find when you figured out the numbering. Lots of steps to get up but there were ramps as well.

Room was spacious and had everything you need even if a little dated but it was clean. Beds and sofa were comfortable and the shower was powerful enough.

Food was good with plenty of choice and that’s from a fussy eater. There wasn’t anything that was reworked into something else if leftover from breakfast/lunch and always warm. Staff in restaurant were quick to ensure that tables were cleared away and reset. Not the largest of dining areas but never had to wait for a table.

To get to the pool area you had to go down so stairs through the tunnel and up the other side. Not sure if there is another way in if you have mobility issues. Not the biggest of areas but large enough to allow the number of people there and plenty of sun beds. Not much in the way of shade and as someone who goes as red as a lobster after 5 minutes I need something to shelter under. No parasols and just one pergola type thing at the end and of that is full then the only other place is the chairs and tables near the bar area.

There is only one bar which is by the pool. The seating area has around 12 tables and there were two rooms off this but both were closed. Again the tables and chairs seem a little dated but were comfortable. The area could have done with being tidied up regularly as noticed that between people leaving and going to change for evening meal that not even the tables or floor had had a sweep. There were a lot of smokers so being a non smoker found it could be unpleasant to sit there at times. There was music played but not at a level that you couldn’t hear your conversation.

The hotel is located at the top of a hill and is about a 20-30 minute walk into town and slightly longer coming back up the hill.

I had read reviews before we came and was a little bit apprehensive but we found it was a pleasant stay for the price we paid.
