This wonderful beach hotel is located in the bustling tourist centre of Playa Blanca. The hotel is located a mere 300 metres away from the nearest pebble beach, while the Timanfaya volcano, Janubio salt works, Ajaches Nature Park and the renowned Papagayo beaches are to be found in close proximity. Guests can relax and unwind in perfect rapture amidst the intrinsic beauty of the surroundings. This charming hotel welcomes visitors with warm hospitality and excellent service. The guest rooms are tastefully decorated, inviting guests into a cocoon of peace and serenity in which to enjoy restful slumber at the end of the day. Guests can avail of the excellent leisure facilities the hotel affords, and can enjoy an energetic game of tennis or an invigorating workout in the gym, followed by a refreshing swim in the pool.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Rooms were lovely and clean but beds were terribly uncomfortable. Air con was very good too. Food was not too bad either. The location is very quiet and there isn’t much to do nearby. The hotel itself was fairly quiet too also and there wasn’t much going on at all. The entertainment was terrible though, I will be completely honest. However, pool area was spacious and clean too and staff friendly and helpful as well!
We returned last Saturday after spending a week here
Room - we had a junior suite and it was lovely with a sea view couldn't fault it and miss it daily
Pools - lovely and warm, we often go Teguise and they're freezing so this was great
Food - breakfast spot in. Lunch not too bad, served from the pool bar. Dinners - we didn't get on well, we ate out 3 out of the 6 nights. We're not particularly fussy eaters but one night I only ate cheese n crackers. All looked nice n fresh just wasn't for us
Entertainment - we didn't really bother with. The mini disco was too noisy for us (5 year old and 8 month old)
Location - a bit too far out for us, we like a bar or 2 on the doorstep
Drinks - some cocktails are strong 😂 they ask room numbers when you order, no self serve
Large supermarket up the road and a very nice Indian restaurant
We walked to the marina and took 25 mins Taxi to playa Blanca town €7 there €4 back Small Spanish looking complex 10 min walk to the left, couple of nice bars n restaurants if you need to get out. Alfie's bar was great
We wouldn't return but that is purely the location. Teguise has our hearts
What can I say, this is a brilliant hotel, this was our first time staying at this hotel and I could not fault the hotel and the staff, from the day time entertainment, they had loads of different activities from bingo to rifle shooting to archery and others in the day, the night time entertainment, is good for the kids and the adults, they want to involve everyone, the cleaners are always in everyday to clean the room, I really could not fault it, the food is the same for lunch and sort of the same for dinner but there is a lot of different food there but for how many people who are there you could not fault it, they are so friendly towards family’s and others, definitely looking to come back here next year, the views from the hotel looking out to sea are excellent, the entertainment staff I couldn’t fault at all, I would like to say a massive thank you to all of them
We stayed for 7 nights as a family of four with a 5yo and 1yo. The pool areas are great, definitely need some TLC with some tiles being loose or having fallen off but this didn’t impact our overall experience. The all inclusive drinks were good- not just local drinks- Coca Cola soft drinks, Amstel beer and good wines. Food could be better, of our 7 night stay we struggled to find a full meal on two nights, we are not overly keen on fish and the restaurant seemed to be full of fish options every night. I also think allergens could be a problem here, I overheard another guest asking whether a dish had nuts in to which she was told no only for a second chef to overhear and correct the first chef. There is allergen information displayed near the food on digital signage but it was not always easy to tell which sign belonged to which dish. We stayed in a junior suite which overlooks the sea, I would recommend this type of room. The view was beautiful. The only downside was that in an evening you could hear all of the entertainment from the hotels on the other side of the bay, again this was outweighed by the lovely room and view. The beds were very comfortable especially the long memory foam pillows. We used the free beach shuttle once which was punctual and convenient. We also used the kids club once so our children could use the small softplay. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately our last day was very difficult as we had a late flight and the hotel refused to extend our all inclusive until our departure. We had it until 3pm for this still left 5 hours which we were unable to eat or drink without paying. I felt this was unacceptable considering we had arrived so late on our first day that we hadn’t had anything at all. Because of the customer service during that last day I would be hesitant to book here again. It seemed you were treated very well as long as you were a guest, but once check out hit they did not care for you at all- even with two young children.
5 of us stayed for 10 nights in 2 Family rooms, Half Board. We all had a great time, staff were brilliant, Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and food was hot, great Coffee also. We only had dinner once as we prefer to eat out. I would say that the dinner was good but could be improved in terms of choice. Family rooms were great with a separate bedroom a Kitchen which was a bonus and the bathroom had a separate shower cubicle and then a bath also with shower. Air con wasn't the best but we left it on all day and this made the room a nice temperature for bed time. Cleanliness of the Hotel was very good, the restaurant was kept clean by all the staff, my only gripe would be the rooms need to be kept a bit cleaner, our floor was very dirty on arrival but i just went over it myself with wipes. Swimming pools are great, our kids absolutely loved them, great temperature in both the blue pool and black pool. Some tiles are missing on the floor of the blue pool so i would say it just needs some minor repairs to be perfect. We have been to a few hotels in Lanzarote and we will definitely return to Mirador (I'm already looking for next year)
