This 4-star hotel is ideally located on the beachfront of Las Coloradas, between Playa Blanca village and Papagayo Beach, on the south coast of Lanzarote. From the hotel you can enjoy stunning views of Fuerteventura and Lobos Island. The hotel offers guests a free shuttle service to Playa Dorada Beach four times a day.

Ok stay
The hotel is in a nice location with good views. The atmosphere was relaxed but at meal times could get a little crowded round the buffet area. Unfortunately we had to be moved from our room, there was glass on the floor which cut my husband’s foot and we had creature in the room that left trail marks of the eating our sealed crisp packet. It was clean and we noticed they were always cleaning round the pool area, however rooms were a little dated and tired. We noticed the all male animation team put a lot on for the kids that were there, however when we went to use the pool tables, half of them were broken or had half the balls missing. We also had an issue with the safe not working and were told to wait for maintenance who never came. All in all it was an ok stay but unfortunately we would not return.

we stayed here from the 12thn July to the 23July 2026, we found the reception staff very polite as was most of the staff, the food was of a acceptable standard, the bars, if you have any pulmonary conditions these will mainly be off limits to you even though, Spain has smoking laws this hotel will do very little to help you, on asking a member of the pool bar team why was all these people smoking or vaping in a no smoking area I was verbally abused, I spoke with Julian the manager who did absolutely nothing about this. what very little he did about upholding the Spanish smoking laws, he put some no smoking signs on tables on one terrace which was removed within a couple of days, none of the staff said or did anything about upholding these Spanish smoking laws, people from the UK you would not get away with this in the UK why do you break Spanish laws. Now for the rooms we had 4 rooms we had paid for the royal elite upgrade, these rooms the furniture in them are in a poor condition the bath rooms are in very poor condition 3 out of4 had Black mould in them this is a health and safety concern in the UK, the only one which we had seen which didn't had been deep cleaned as i had complained about the rooms. the royal elite roof top terrace again as i had a pulmonary problem this was mainly not usable for me as people could smoke there smoking is on of my triggers, as the room where no smoking was ok , but the air conditioning was not working in this room and it was very hot and humid in there. as for the rom we stayed in there were things in that rom that wasn't good , biggest thing was the air conditioning inadequate we woke up absolutely wet through every night no wonder there is black mould in the rooms the extractor fan in the bathroom does not work, damp humid these conditions are where black mould will thrive. we was given a desktop fan which just blew the warm air around. the air conditioning was broken after it being fixed it was no better, after it being repaired one hour later it started leaking through the ceiling as we was the top floor it could not have been the room above, then again on our last night it did the same. now for the pool area well in a 11 night stay I never seen this area cleaned once. stains all over the floors. steps out of one pool was broken. now for the restaurant's the royal elite restaurant was very chilled out peace full loved it, but as for lunch when we had to use the main buffet where do I start it was like feeding time at the zoo, tables left with plates on them, on a couple of occasions we could not find a clean glass in the place. the snack bar was slightly better, to me there didn't seem to be enough staff, now for the royal elite i have already spoken about the roof top terrace, the other lounge was very good but as there was nothing in there this was adults only it didn't attract many people, so you could become very isolated, the drinks was of a very good standard, the royal elite rooms i have already spoke about, we paid for the Royal elite upgrade so we didn't have these issue's this did not work did it. this hotel is in a very bad need of a major update. i have been to better three star hotels. I would not recommend this hotel and under no circumstances would i take my grand children there

Exceptional customer service and genuine care when it mattered most – Our 3rd fantastic stay!
This was our third visit to Sandos Papagayo, and while we already knew it was a fantastic hotel, the kindness and compassion shown by the staff during our recent stay truly blew us away.
Unfortunately, during our holiday, my husband was taken suddenly ill and had to be admitted to the hospital for four days. The way the hotel team handled the situation was nothing short of world-class. A special mention goes to the young man on reception (I believe his name was Darius or similar) who came straight up to our room (1132) to assist us and call an ambulance immediately. His prompt help and calm reassurance during a terrifying moment meant everything to us.
Throughout my husband's hospital stay, the ongoing support my daughter and I received from the entire team was incredible. Everyone went well above and beyond to look after us, but we'd particularly like to highlight Maria, Suzanne, and Juan for their warmth, sympathy, and constant care. (I hope I've remembered everyone's names correctly!)
Outside of the medical situation, the hotel itself was brilliant as always. The cleanliness throughout the resort and in our room was spotless, and the pools were great for relaxing. The standard food in the all-inclusive package was excellent with plenty of variety and choice, and we also tried the two fusion restaurants which I would thoroughly recommend!
Despite the emergency, the staff's attentiveness and the lovely resort environment ensured we still managed to enjoy some precious holiday time once things settled. It is an all-round fantastic hotel that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.
My husband is now on the mend, and we cannot wait to book our fourth visit as soon as he is fully recovered. To each and every member of staff who looked after us: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are an absolute credit to the hotel!

I’m writing this from my transfer back to the airport from an absolutely amazing holiday at Sandos Papagayo, and we honestly couldn’t fault the experience. From start to finish, it was a fantastic family break and one we will remember for a long time.
We are a family of four, with children aged 8 and 4, and our eldest is autistic. The entertainment team were absolutely phenomenal and were amazing with both of our children. They were so friendly, welcoming and inclusive, and really helped make the holiday special for our family. The kids absolutely loved the daily mini disco and seeing Sandito the mascot, and the evening entertainment was brilliant too. There was always something going on, and the entertainment team deserve a huge amount of credit for the atmosphere they created.
The food was excellent, with a huge amount of choice and, importantly, everything we had was fresh, hot and really enjoyable. There was plenty of variety, so we always found something for everyone in the family. Our two À la carte meals were also very nice!
On arrival, we were incredibly lucky to be automatically upgraded to Royal Elite room completely free of charge due to the hotel being very busy. This was such a lovely surprise and really added to our experience. We didn’t get the upgrade to use the Royal Elite facilities, however with the inclusion of an additional lounge and bar area I don’t think we would have used it.
We did initially have an issue with our room, as it was directly below the stage at the Terrace Bar and unfortunately the noise was quite loud until 12am, particularly with young children. However, the way reception dealt with this was fantastic. We explained the situation and they moved us to another room without any hesitation or fuss, our new room was the original type we booked. The issue was handled quickly, professionally and with genuine understanding, which we really appreciated.
Overall, this was an incredible family holiday. The staff, entertainment, food and overall experience were fantastic, and the way the hotel dealt with the one issue we had was a real reflection of the excellent service throughout our stay. The whole team here are amazing, always smiling, welcoming and supportive when needed.
We will 100% return to Sandos Papagayo and would have absolutely no hesitation recommending it to other families. A truly fantastic holiday from start to finish! 🌴☀️❤️

All inclusive at its best
We had room 1054. The view was amazing overlooking the pools and the sea. Stunning.The room itself needs a little maintenance but saying that , suited our needs . The food was very good , with a wide selection to suit all tastes. No sunbed wars , no dramas , just a very good hotel doing what good hotels do . Making holiday memories for a lifetime . Thank you for a great stay .
