We had a lovely week here, the location is great, we enjoyed the beach, the pools are nice and buffet pretty good. I like the spacious rooms, yes a bit dated, but that’s no problem, ours was very clean and nothing was too much trouble. I would not personally return to this hotel though and would only recommend it to families with tween/teens. The football camp is understandably very popular and fab for those families. HOWEVER if you are not a family with teenage wild boys you may find the atmosphere this brings really overwhelming. It means that the vibe of the hotel is way off the 5 stars for me. Even at a kids pool it would be nice not to have your little ones surrounded by teenage boys throwing footballs and bombing around it really is very unpleasant. At night you hear children literally screaming at the main pools until way past 10pm, last night way past 11pm. For me, this is not acceptable at all for a 5 star hotel and the hotel really need to get a grip on it. It’s a shame that such an issue really brings the place down.
I would give this 10 stars if I could. Just lovely: wish I had gone back this year but opted for a different island and something a little cheeper. I visited for 10 nights in 2025. It’s just perfect and the whole resort offers something for everyone. Wonderful evening entertainment and great food. The restaurant staff are very attentive and friendly. Beach is on the doorstep and lovely. I’ll be booking again for 2027.
We just spent a great week at PY! The hotel is located in front of playa Blanca which is beautiful and next to a nice promenade. The rooms are perfect for a family of 5. Our kids loved the breakfasts, made lots of friends at the brilliant football sessions in the morning and loved the games by the pool organised by Cesar and Martin. Great team of entertainers! We also rented the speedboat for a trip to playa papagayo and was one of the highlights! We will probably come back.
If you are looking for a hotel that ticks every box for the whole family this is the one for you. Without exception all of the staff are welcoming, helpful and non intrusive. Quality of food is absolutely first class, facilities offered | available, housekeeping and overall attention to detail throughout the hotel is outstanding.
Slightly disappointed with the hotel, definitely more of a four star than a five star rated hotel. Positives, great location directly opens onto Playa Dorada beach and close to Main resort activities. Food was sometimes very good to just ok, had much better food elsewhere. Need to vary the dessert options. Good options for breakfast so I’d go bed & breakfast if I visited again. Negatives, we had a junior suite with a large balcony and sea view and it was a great space. The two main issues with the room, the air conditioning was one star and very inefficient. The room was also quite dated in comparison to other rooms we have stayed in at other hotels and needs an upgrade. A massive disappointment was the lack of evening entertainment, it was extremely poor quality. The management need to provide better quality entertainment if charging guests 5 star prices.
