What an amazing stay once again as a family of 3 - special thanks to Alba and Laura for making every day fun for the adults and the kids with loads of activities - they have really made our stay amazing!
Lovely clean hotel, with well kept pool area and plenty sun loungers. Large balconies overlooking pools. Food in the À la carte restaurant was far superior to the buffet restaurant and worked out cheaper to eat there than in the all you can eat buffet which charges 30 Euros per adult and 10 euros for children. Drinks are not included in the cost. The half board wallet credit system offers flexibility but as it’s possible to use the credit on drinks you could find that you run out of credit before the end of your stay. The staff were friendly and understanding. The bars are understaffed generally only one person serving at each bar and often a significant wait to be served. There was a planned fire drill during our stay. It became apparent that the alarm system is inadequate as the alarm was not loud enough to hear in some rooms (110x) Without staff checking that rooms had been vacated the alarm would not have been heard in daytime never mind if everyone was asleep. That is quite concerning and really needs addressed by the owner of the hotel. During the stay safe deposit boxes in two different rooms failed to open and maintenance had to be called to open them. In one room this happened more than once and batteries were then changed which seemed to solve the issue. All power in one room was lost multiple times (at least 4 times in our weeks stay) due to trip switch in electrical box tripping. Maintenance showed us how to reset the breaker so we could deal with it without calling them each time it happened. Guests should never be needing to do this!
Drinks vouchers for signing up for a reduced conscious cleaning program seemed like a worthwhile initiative but the choice of drinks was not clear prior to signing up. Soft drink implies any soft drink but actually this was limited to orange apple not carbonated drinks. Water was available with voucher but the size of bottle varied depending on which bar you went to.
2nd stay here since June with our 4 year old daughter. Such a welcoming, relaxed feel to this hotel and the staff are amazing. Especially the animation team, specifically Alba and Laura who are so attentive with the children but also with the workshops throughout the day. They are stars!
Stayed for nine nights and enjoyed every second of it.
Arrived fairly late on a Sunday night, and a member of reception staff was on hand to guide us through the self check-in process, which was all straightforward. Nice touch in being given a welcome drink while we checked in.
Room was excellent size and nice and modern, clean towels provided every day and air conditioning kept things cool even in the searing heat.
Breakfast had a good selection - yes, there were no sausages - and the lunch options were great too. Ate at the buffet on three nights and they kept things fresh with a different theme every night. Food in the a la carte was lovely and staff particularly friendly.
Two big pool areas, we stayed in the 'Relax' zone away and it was just that - a blissful place to relax.
Great location, 10/15 min walk to both the town centre and the marina.
Staff were fantastic. A special shoutout to the staff covering the bars during the day, often on their own, dealing with long queues and getting everyone served. Lucia in El Hola was particularly good!
The credit system is absolutely fantastic and gives a flexibility like no other half board. It's almost like a mini all-inclusive. We didn't have to spend an extra penny on food or drinks at the hotel all holiday, with credits covering four meals, three lunches and all of our drinks. A brilliant way of doing things.
Such a good hotel. Already looking forward to our next visit when we return to Playa Blanca over the next few years.
We loved our family holiday at the MYND. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, in particular Gerald and Alan who were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful. Would/will be going back.
