This sophisticated resort is located on the south of the island of Lanzarote, in front of the sea and only 10 kilometres from Timanfaya National Park and around 900 metres from the picturesque fishing village of Playa Blanca. The hotel was designed as a typical village of Lanzarote, with romantic courtyards and traditional spots. In fact, the entrance is a replica of Teguise's church, Our Lady of Guadalupe. This hotel stands out for its singular architecture and its refined service, thus becoming an icon of high-end tourism. All rooms have a living room with a sofa as well as a complete range of features, such as a pillow and sheet menu as well as a private en-suite bathroom with exclusive toiletries.
One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in The church like entrance is so unusual, very calm. The Pavarotti tribute night in the church is lovely. When we arrived, after midnight, we were checked in by a lovely gentleman from Serbia, sorry can not remember his name. So helpful and a delight to chat to, and he gave us a welcome glass of fizz. Our room in The Club area was beautiful . Good size and lots of storage, balcony over looking the Marina. Good size bathroom with his & her sinks. All kept spotlessly clean by house keeping. Liked the Rituals products. The staff in the breakfast room were so kind, helpful and attentive. I only remember one name Nina, but everyone of the ladies deserve a mention too. One of the ladies who served breakfast and then worked in the pool bar, always very pleasant and helpful. It was a very special holiday for us, we were celebrating our 50th wedding Anniversary and we wanted a very special hotel. We were not disappointed. The hotel arranged a bottle of fizz to our room, which was so lovely, and helped us celebrate our Anniversary. Thank you Never had a problem getting sun beds or Balinese Beds, anytime of the day. Such a lovely peaceful and calm area by the heated pool and bar. A mention to one of the waiters who worked in the bar area and the club bar until 8pm, we thought he looked like Ronaldo , always remembered us when he saw us. The location of this hotel is perfect, near the Marina, market and restaurants . Our first visit to LIVVO Volcan, but it will not be our last. Looking to book for next year. Only one negative, we should have booked for 10 days instead of 7 🤣 Do not hesitate to book this hotel you will not be disappointed.
This place is okay but not five star. Some (not all) staff on front desk are a bit abrupt and you feel like an inconvenience asking questions . Also had to ask four times to have my room with friend made into a twin, not double.
Food is “okay” in main restaurant but not outstanding and choices limited. Not much evening entertainment.
Slight “Brits Abroad” vibe
On plus side it’s clean and feels safe.
We are just back from an incredible week at the volcan hotel. From the moment we arrived we were taken great care of by the fantastic staff. Welcomed with a glass of fizz then taken to our rooms. We opted for the buffet on the first night for ease and were impressed by the choice and quality. The breakfast buffet is also fantastic.
We were a group of 7 ranging from 7 to 77 and all our needs were catered for. The pool was incredible, no issues getting sun loungers where we wanted them.
Whilst we were away it was my daughter's 12th birthday and ask the staff made a real fuss of her which she absolutely loved.
All in we had an incredible time and would happily visit again. A very big thank you from us all!
A lovely looking hotel, situated right by the marina. Hotel entrance is really special. Our room had a sea and marina view, it was a great size with sitting area. Bed was super big and comfy. The whole hotel is kept very clean. A good selection of pools, although none laned for a proper swim, all just for leisure. Marina full of lovely restaurants and shops. 10min promenade walk to sandy beach.
Hotel was very quiet, could do with maybe one pool having music on during the day. The bar only has entertainment for around 1 hr in the evening, then all goes quiet, it would benefit for a little more evening entertaining. The hotel is made to feel like a little village, which it does. But this also means quite a lot of walking in the heat of the sun to reach your room, including lots of steps. Staff were always professional and polite, breakfast was a calm affair with a great choice of food. I would definitely return.
7 days early/mid July 2026 With family
Not one to normally write reviews but this hotel is Poor for what could be a great. Rarely did we see a manager and the place lacks management. I Emailed manager mid way through stay but got no response
Pool/snack bar and afternoon options are disgraceful for what is expected of this hotel Staff were kinda friendly but lacked training in bar work /management and lacked any drive to offer better services The restaurant only opened about 2 hours in afternoon The food a snack bar finished at 15:45 but on info it’s 16:30 Never did i see the evening/night bar open. Seemed closed or closed very early,, was supposed to be open till 12:30 but look in a few days and was already closed by 11 and didn’t look like it had been opened
Pool bar - over our 7 days
Someday you ordered inside , other days they said no it was at table service only ( which was very slow with only 2 staff.
Security felt safe but , very easy to jump over low wall and would regularly see non guest people use the hotel as a cut through from the top road to the marina
Breakfast was decent but , breads weren’t always fresh,, hot items not kept fresh sometimes , hash browns were Aldi level, sausage were cheap frankfurter type.
No Kids club and little or no entertainments most days
Rooms are good, a little dated, kept very well by housekeepers No towel rail for pool towels
While there a 5-6 person camera crew were around a few days and would just walk in your relaxed environment and start doing their thing without any consideration to the hotel guests
If you are leaving late in day the only room to change clothes in is a disabled toilet/ slash wet room that has no where for to put clothes
Life guards on duty’s at all pools and are vigilant
Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas but will need to be up about 7- 7:45 for the good spots, pool towels are on the tin side
Reception staff friendliness were hit and Miss,, but luggage staff were good as to be expected
Location is great right in the heart of the beautiful marina but but it’s about 20mins walk to playa blanca centre only €4/5 in taxi
