We are at the end of a 7 night stay and have had an amazing time here as a family. Having read some mixed reviews we were unsure about what to expect. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The food is great, there is more than enough choice for all tastes. The salad is always fresh, but the breakfast has been our favourite, especially the pastries. The staff are always warm and friendly and so hard working. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable with an amazing sea view that we weren’t expecting. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back if we returned to Playa Blanca, and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Fantastic hotel we had a lovely week here. Rami was amazing made a lovely photo for my daughter
We spent 7 amazing days in Lanzarote BLUESEA Alyssa suite hotel. We had an amazing time. The location is beautiful right next to Montana Roja volcano, the view is gorgeous. Rooms are specious in bungalow style which we really liked. The hotel is very clean , the food is very nice with plenty of choices. There is an evening entertainment from 9 pm until 10:30pm which was more than enough for us. Very friendly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Lovely hotel but the drinks are shocking, food isnt great and no entertainment until 9.30 which isnt great. The entertainment is at the pool bar so uncomfortable seats and you are served plastic cups all evening. No music anywhere during the day, even as background music. You have a choice of 2 cocktails each day for the all inclusive and they are dreadful out of a machine. Nearly all the staff are grumpy, never smile. You have to pay a deposit of €1 for a plastic cup and also if you want to change your pool towel, it costs €1. Plenty of sunbeds though, even at 10am, plenty there.
Wouldn't recommend or return.
We had a mixed experience overall. There were definitely some positives, but also a few areas where we felt the hotel could improve, especially considering its rating and price.
Positives
The rooms were spacious and very clean, and we really enjoyed having a balcony with a table, chairs and sun loungers. During our stay, there were also plenty of sun loungers available, so thankfully there were no early-morning “sunbed wars”!
The staff were lovely throughout our stay and always friendly and helpful.
The buffet food was nice and there was a decent selection, although it did become a little repetitive if you’re staying for a longer period.
There is also a lifeguard around the pool, which gives extra peace of mind, particularly for families with younger children. We enjoyed the DJ on Friday morning too, which added a bit more atmosphere around the pool.
Areas for improvement
The pool is noticeably smaller than it appears in the photographs. It looks like some of the photos may have been taken using a pano or 0.5x lens, which makes the pool appear much larger than it actually is.
The cocktails are made from a pre-mixed machine, and you’re limited to two options per day. The all-inclusive drinks selection is okay, but most of the drinks are non-branded. I have better from other hotels.
One small change that could make a big difference would be having ice available near the soft drinks area. This would reduce queues at the bar and make things easier for both guests and staff. During our stay, you generally had to ask the bar staff for ice and then fill your own drink, which wasn’t ideal when the bar was busy.
We had a late check-out. If rooms are available, you can pay to keep your room for longer, which is useful. However, I feel the hotel should provide a dedicated shower/changing area for guests especially considering the amount you’re paying and the hotel’s rating, we were surprised this wasn’t offered, as we’ve experienced this at other hotels.
The biggest disappointment for us was the entertainment. There was very little happening during the day, and there was no background music around the pool, so guests were putting their own speakers on. The hotel advertises daytime entertainment, but we didn’t really see this happening apart from the DJ on Friday afternoon.
For families with children, I think you could potentially find another hotel offering more entertainment and activities for a similar price.
Overall
If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing hotel, this could be a great choice. However, if you’re looking for a livelier atmosphere, plenty of daytime activities or strong entertainment, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
We enjoyed certain aspects of our stay, particularly the clean and spacious rooms, lovely staff and relaxed atmosphere. I would consider returning in the future, but only if some of the areas mentioned above were improved.
