This family-friendly hotel is located in the fishing village of Playa Blanca, in the south of the Canary island of Lanzarote. The town centre offers an array of shopping and entertainment opportunities and, like the beach, lies some 800 metres from the hotel. Links to the public transport network can be reached in about 600 metres, and the island capital, Arrecife, lies about 40 km away. This comfortable hotel provides guests with an abundant supply of facilities. A café, a bar, and a restaurant which offers international cuisine, show cooking, and themed evening are all available at this establishment. Fun hotel for family and freinds!!!!
Excellent entertainers, entertainment is excellent with lots of water sports. Location is ner enough to the beach but not crowded and staff are very polite. 5 stars, definetely recommend.
A mixed bag but overall did enjoy our holiday.
A mixed bag for us at this hotel some good points some not so good, firstly our room was quite basic but overall looked clean, though into the evening found a cockroach but didn’t think to much of it, second night another 1 and another bug so started to feel a bit nervous my teenage daughter was a bit freaked out but told her we will check over each night, 3rd night killed another and my husband pulled the bed out and he killed about 8 other type bugs and this did upset us, we went to reception about this and to complain about air con which was definitely not working properly, yes I understand you do get bugs but the 3rd night was just to much, anyway they moved us straight away better air con it was great and they sent up a bottle of champagne and nibbles which we really appreciated as they moved us no problem, now when it comes to the food to be honest we thought it was ok and what is to be expected in an all inclusive, we enjoyed breakfast and lunch every day loved the salads paella etc, yes dinner is repetitive but again it’s to be expected I have found this evening at 5* hotels, entertainment was really good they tried to get loads involved we had a good laugh and enjoyed most evenings, the grounds to the apartments are very pretty and lovely to walk around the only real downside for me was the sunbeds and the grounds close to the pool area were very grubby, old drinks from previous day and my daughter stood on something rank and this was early morning so not sure if the pool area was washed and cleaned down every night I really think it should be definitely as it gets very busy, overall we actually had a really good holiday we did venture out quite a bit to though, first time in Lanzarote and would definitely visit again though would pick a hotel a bit closer to the beach, this hotel is not as bad as some make out yes there could be improvements but for the price we didn’t expect 5* .

Disappointed
Where do I start, booked 1 week B4 we left so didn't do much research which I normally do, any other reviews I have done , I normally say "don't believe the bad reviews place is great " but this time not so much. On first impression place is nice pool itself it has loads for the kids with allowing floats etc, lovely greenery, when U get to the rooms they are big but basic, they could be updated quite easily with fresh modern curtains and bed spreads ,, fresh paint , fresh silicone around the shower , better towels colour off putting a funny smell from them they were clean but just had a tinge of something , 2 basins in the toilet which was great but nota sink in the living room to wash Ur cups glasses so everything done in the toilet. The rooms have so much potential it's a shame I don't think it would cost much to make it right. On to the food, breakfast ok, though everything is cold there is a microwave at the end of the station we had to use every morning ,noon and night food was so basic rubbish actually, we were there 7 night a week ate in 2. We had to go out , dinners food recycled for lunch then next day, always in some sort of sauce , I tried for a salad one lunchtime and there wasn't even lettuce, the snack bar I would say was better, every day fabulous pizza, very disappointed in the food even the croissants in the morning could either be burnt or not cooked enough, the pool area is nice, but the loungers were filthy, anywhere I've ever been was thet hose them all down when the pool closes , 1/4.of them were broken , really needs to be sorted that would have made a big difference , I seen maids but not many staff about the pool area cleaning up , I was going about picking up people's paper cups that had blown away, I hate to be saying these negative things as I really wanted to love it but it's pretty poor, staff weren't much help or friendly ,one night a boy was too busy face timing his friend he got our drinks wrong , noone I felt went out their way ,can't say anything about animation team my daughter is too old for that. The hotel is a good 10 to 12 mins walk from the marina all back up hill, they have an on-site shop but it's very expensive ,no other supermarkets near unless u make Ur way town to the Marina, B4 Ur part with Ur hard earned money please look at other places maybe go self catering playa blanc itself it lovely the marina is fantastic had loads of beautiful meals and cocktails down there . But the HL CLUB PLAYA BLANCA will not be on my list of places to stay again, I know I will probably just get the generic reply from the management team, it's a pity they don't actually enforce some of our suggestions to make it better.

Hotel entertainment was excellent and very inclusive for the children and allowed separate spaces for children and adults to relax in the evening.
