This family-friendly hotel is located in the fishing village of Playa Blanca, in the south of the Canary island of Lanzarote. The town centre offers an array of shopping and entertainment opportunities and, like the beach, lies some 800 metres from the hotel. Links to the public transport network can be reached in about 600 metres, and the island capital, Arrecife, lies about 40 km away. This comfortable hotel provides guests with an abundant supply of facilities. A café, a bar, and a restaurant which offers international cuisine, show cooking, and themed evening are all available at this establishment. Guests may also make use of the Internet access, the medical service and the bicycle hire facility. The spacious rooms are fitted in a modern style and come with a combined lounge and dining area.
Had mixed feelings about going to this hotel as had read mixed reviews.
We are not a fussy family so here is my honest review. Traveling with my husband 12,9 and 6 year old.
Rooms: clean, spacious and tidy. Lots of space in a 2 bedroom bungalow as a family of 5 cleaners arrived every day. Soon realised my children were not early risers and left our room to later in the day could not fault them clean towels every day if needed. Had requested a room near to pool and this was fulfilled. Check in was easy had to wait an hr until room was ready but overall satisfied.
Entertainment: The reason we booked had read great reviews, in honesty sooooooo disappointed. Found it quite annoying loud music every day not even appropriate for children rap music with racist comment and curse words not family friendly. On nights when trying to get families involved and played more appropriate music ceasear as DJ seemed to not care less and go back to playing music he liked need to get with current trends for children. Kids disco same 5 songs on repeat each night .Shows were extremely ametuar and only lasted an hr so u were left twiddling ur thumbs for the rest of the evening.Funds must be lacking when given a tooth pick for bingo instead of a pen 😞 Timetable from reception desk NVR matched up with what was actually on and you had to keep checking daily.
Drinks: so disappointed had to pay for anything half decent eg strawberry dacquiri pink gin etc only o e type of beer on offer...the drinks that were served were warm from sitting in a jug and asking for ice felt like u were asking a big thing. Bar staff not friendly at all. Only one each time 2 on occasion so very long queues. One older man in particular who was always on at night time bar did not like to serve women. All inclusive only last to 11 and then u had to pay have never heard of this before! To be fair we were ready for bed at this time but can see how it might annoy others. Was more surprised as have never came across this at all inclusive before.
Food: not too bad. Basically what u expect for all inclusive themed nights obviously some repetitive but u expect that. Staff worked hard and eating area very clean. Having two children with allergies appreciated allergies being clearly listed, although very limited choice for them. Snack Bar was different every day and some good live cooking of paella Bbq etc
Kids Club: my kids enjoyed and went regularly I think mainly to get out of sun and meet other kids 😂😂but could offer more variety of activities. However the girl running kids club was lovely and children really liked her. Could maybe take children up to football pitch for activities like football basketball etc although covered in rubbish when we went up as a family and needs maintenance.
Sun loungers: if u don't get up early I mean around 7 u will not get. Not enough at all for size of hotel. Loungers NVR cleaned didn't see them being moved or hosed down once quite a few broken. Could do with a good scrub. Did they ever think of adding more on the big space outside reception which would be quieter if you don't want hussle and bustle from the pool don't understand it being left idle.
Grounds: well maintained and kept clean. If you don't like cats not for you. My only gripe was often having to bypass cat poo which hadn't been lifted.
Location: good 15 minute dander into town and through a very dark unlit street at night on way back so didn't feel safe if out for a walk.
Did we have a good time? Yes we made the most of it. Hotel was clean so was happy and food was ok..Would I go back? No unless entertainment was dramatically improved and all inclusive drinks. We go foreign every year and honestly can not understand how there were glowing reviews about the entertainment.
This hotel has very mixed reviews but in an honest opinion it’s the lower end of a 3 star. I’ll start with the positives the staff are friendly and attentive when something is needed, the rooms where clean and spacious, the air con is cold and even though there is only one unit in the bedroom if door is left open it does cool the full room, the food was okay we ate at all times, it is hard for picky eaters but I found something at every meal, the bar is open on a nighttime and there is entertainment for the children. The negatives however are the beds in the living room are a slab of leather it’s hard and you can’t have a good night sleep at all because ya leather it makes you sweat also so it’s not comfortable, the balcony door is not secure and locks if you close it when your outside and is wobbly, the pool is messy but more due to the people rather then the cleaners people don’t pick up after themselves and it does get cleaned later on, the guests are not monitored when drinking there were tables with lites of spirits on which I believe contributed to the brawl of about 20 people in the middle of the night on the upper bar terrace police were called children where screaming chairs where thrown they were been hit this went on for around an hour and was not dealt with fast enough it was awful to see with our children, the mess that people were making was just left for hours rather then been cleaned or chairs put back, the water park charged extra when booking and didn’t even need to be as every guest had access to this and it was run down and needs updating but it passed time, there’s not really anything in the area but around a 10 minute walk is to a small place with shops and bars and stuff but did get boring after a few times of the same shop. Wouldn’t return but felt like it wasn’t worth £2300 what I paid
Fab place great staff entertainmet staff 10 out 10 weather great but the staff made it a holiday to remember lot changes but some remain good to see cesar he has come along way onwards and up for you enjoy
We have returned to this hotel for the second time this year! We love this hotel so much we were gutted to find out that easel had left the hotel but was so happy that our friend cesar was still here and had everyone happy and entertained great hotel great vibes and great location would definitely return
Reasonable budget family AI hotel.
Rooms are basic but a good size for a family of four - two bedroom bungalows are spacious and included a small sitting area along with a fridge, microwave and kettle. Due to them being ground level and set in gardens you can get some bugs in the room but spoke to housekeeping and got a can of bug spray
Food ok, decent selection at breakfast and lunch which included cooked food alongside a good selection of salads, bread always felt fresh. Less enamored by the theme dinners but all but the fussiest of eaters will be able to make a meal. Dishes are clearly labelled with allergens. My vegetarian and gluten free family members all found something to eat at each meal time.
Entertainment, more aimed at pre teens. It seems to be predominantly British & Irish families and had the feel of a UK holiday park vibe.
Pool area is large with plenty of beds but there does seem to be a rush of putting the towels down quite early so struggled to get beds after 10am.
Location - less than 15 minutes walk to shops, bars and one of the beaches, another 15 minutes walk to get round to the marina
