Hipotels Natura Palace

This was our 6th visit to Natura Palace, we love this hotel and the relaxing atmosphere, staff are always helpful but on this occasion we were somewhat disappointed because the standards have slipped considerably. I fully understand that the hotel was about to close for a significant refurbishment, and in fact i knew this and emailed the manager Katarzyna on 27th of December last year shortly after booking and was assured there would be no disruption to our stay.

Firstly the positives: The staff were generally excellent as usual, polite and attentive, nothing was too much trouble.

The whole hotel even though some parts obviously now need attention is superbly elegant and has a lovely traditional Canarian feel .

Breakfast was generally good, a bit chaotic and mega busy and nowhere as organised as our prior visits. This buffet style of breakfast in these larger hotels always seems a bit of a scrum and you find yourself dodging other guests armed with platefuls of food trying to get to their tables. The breakfast choices though were plentiful and the quality was generally good.

Now the negatives.

The dining plates, cups a cutlery were often dirty and we found ourselves sifting through plates to find clean ones, we’ve not experienced this before at this hotel.

We were half board so we had evening meals included, the choice and quality was a bit hit and miss and quite repetitive to be honest on most evenings, again not what we’ve experienced in past visits, this was a little disappointing.

The bed sheets were not changed in our room for the whole 10 days of our stay, I know this for a fact, they were simply rotated . Again we’ve not experienced this at this hotel in the past.

The entertainment was extremely poor this time , entertainment at the piano bar although generally good finished by 9.30 pm so we tried to have dinner early to get to the bar before the entertainment wound down, many guests arrived at the bar after dinner only to catch the last bit of entertainment and then there was no background music either so the whole area just felt flat and silent.

The Yaisa bar downstairs was only open on one occasion during our 10 night stay .

Towards the end of our stay the hotel was obviously preparing for the upcoming works and had moved in machinery and the skips had occupied much of the front car park outside the front of the hotel.

Overall generally disappointing visit, it’s such a shame because we have so many wonderful memories of how it used to be on previous visits.

The coach ride from Arrecife airport was quite reasonable in a comfy coach. Looking out of the windows as other people were getting dropped off at their respective hotels, you think "yeah, that place looks quite nice". However when we pulled up to Natura Palace i was thinking "wow, this place looks the nicest of the hotels we have just seen". On going to reception it just kept getting better and better. You are greeted with a welcome drink we chose a glass of Cava (other drinks including fruit juice were available). Our bags were loaded onto a trolly and we were escorted to our room, which had a fantastic view of the promenade (we could see the lighthouse and Fuerta ventura). The room was comfortable and clean, bed was comfortable. The choice of food available at breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly and very efficient, nothing was any trouble. The outside area of the swimming pools, jacuzzi pool and bar area was fantastic. We spoke to several other couples who have had many repeated visits to this same hotel mirrored our own experience. The hotel was due to close for 6 or 7 months the week after we left as the pool area was going to be totally redeveloped. The weather we had was pretty meh, but I must say once the work is complete the Natura Palace hotel will be welcoming us again in the future. Thankyou Carlos and the rest of the team, you made our stay very memorable for all the right reasons!

I returned to Natura Palace in Playa Blanca in April 2026 for my second stay, and it was every bit as wonderful as I remembered. The hotel has such a calm, relaxing atmosphere — perfect if you want to unwind rather than be surrounded by noise and bustle. The air conditioned rooms were spotless & beds were comfortable. I was lucky enough to have been upgraded to a full sea view, rather than a side sea view room.

For me, the location is unbeatable. The gated access straight onto the coastal path is a huge bonus, making it easy to enjoy a scenic walk to the Lighthouse, the port, or the Marina Rubicón. I loved strolling along the seafront with views of Fuerteventura and Lobos in the distance, and the panorama from the top of Montaña Roja was absolutely gorgeous, I was treated to my first ever sighting of an Egyptian Vulture circling above. There’s also a handy little (and blissfully quiet) supermarket just across the road at Palmeras Gardens, ideal for picking up any forgotten essentials.

The food selection is excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all tastes — I never struggled to find something delicious. I also treated myself to a relaxing facial, which was such a lovely addition to the trip.

What truly sets Natura Palace apart is the staff. Every single person I met was warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to chat or help with anything. They give the whole hotel a welcoming, personal feel that’s hard to find elsewhere.

I absolutely loved my stay and cannot wait to return. Natura Palace continues to be one of my favourite places to relax and recharge.
