Second visit would recommend
It’s our second holiday to Gran Togoro with a 4 year old and 6 year old and I would return.
The location next to a small beach and a short walk to the market is great and the view is spectacular out to sea.
The main restaurant is adequate for an all inclusive. They’re trying a new initiative for ‘gold’ customers, which allows a different dining room and some quieter spaces, which was hit and miss. We did prefer the quieter dining room but the food wasn’t any better or worse so not worth it on that score.
The ‘gold’ pool was our favourite, but all of the pools are a good spot to spend your day and move about.
We were disappointed to discover that the Real Adventure area was now being a paywall, which wasn’t the case the on our last visit. It’s about €40 for the family for the day, but we only went twice, as opposed to last time when we went every day. That’s where the slides and water park are. Not worth doing every day for an additional cost.
The kids club was great, the location is great, there’s plentiful pools, and the staff kept things very clean.
The kids mini disco was also very good.
The evening entertainment was also good enough, with live singers and performers on a nice veranda.
We would go back and recommend.

Awful hygiene and cleanliness, please avoid
Avoid this hotel. I would not recommend. I was sick for over a week due to the food poisoning I ended up getting from this hotel. In general, the food choices and food quality were terrible and the cleanliness of the restaurant, snack bar and sports bar was very hit and miss. There were dirty plates, cups, glasses and cutlery that had been set out for hotel guests to use for their meals. We saw dead cockroaches in the sports bar, toilets of the family entertainment area and a walkway we had to use to return to our room. The hotel staff can clearly not cope with the hotel being busy. This was an expensive holiday which was ruined by the poor standards of this hotel.

The perfect holiday
We returned to the Gran Tagoro Hotel after 15 years, and it’s even better than we remembered!
A special thank you to Alma, her Manager, and Jonatan at the Gold Bar for making our holiday a perfect 10/10 with their outstanding service. The food was excellent, the rooms were spacious and spotless.
We had a fantastic stay and can’t wait to return in December 2026!
Awful
Our experience with this hotel was terrible! From the start we were told by the check in lady, nobody carries their luggage at our hotel, 15 mins later she comes out and says sorry he is busy, make your own way to your room! Our room was filthy! Stains on the bed linen, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned from previous guests! Bearing in mind we paid for the gold room with a sea view(if you stand on a chair and don’t mind the service yard you can see the sea) be mindful this is not 5 star it’s pushing it to be a 3. If you want 5 star treatment you have to upgrade to gold level. What 5 star hotel doesn’t treat its 5 star guests as 5 star? No slippers or bathrobe they are gold level no cocktails or smoothies they’re you guessed it gold level! The nice restaurant…nope you can’t use them they’re extra unless gold level, oh the nice pool area…nope it’s gold level, you sir have to go to the pool where there is a Miriad of broken tiles and the pools are filthy and the paint flaking off everywhere! The gym half the equipment is broken, there was a pubic hair on the water cooler and was still there 3 days later! See pic The food is undercooked and meat raw see pic on several occasions. We spent 500 euros eating out on an all inclusive because the food was so bad. The furniture in our room was broken and falling apart, broken tiles everywhere literally! We arranged a late checkout room and it hadn’t been cleaned from the previous people dirty used towels everywhere! It was disgraceful! In 20 years of experience of 5 star hotels that have been beautiful and amazing this was awful definitely needs re rating. Who has been rating this place as good? Clearly never had proper 5 star treatment!
Great family hotel
We had an amazing time, stayed in the Real Adventure part and it was perfect for our little boy! Food was great and entertainment every evening. The best part was the animation team- they were regularly getting kids involved in activities and doing dances, playing with them etc and they really made it for our child so if you have young kids this is the hotel for you!
