Positive review for July stay
We stayed at the Elba royal village 21/07-28/07 as a family of 4 with 2 young children. Location: The location I thought was great! Only a short walk to a local supermarket. they had a free shuttle bus 3x a day to a nearby beach which was always on time, the bus driver was always helpful with our prams and the journey was less than 10 mins. A local taxi was only €3 into the old town and easy to locate once there. Atmosphere: Our children thoroughly enjoyed the evening entertainment, we arrived late and managed to get a close seat at the front. We didn’t attend any of the later/adult entertainment during our stay. Rooms: We had booked a comfort suite ( separate living/bedroom) I had emailed before our stay to request that we were placed in a quieter area of the hotel away from pools and entertainment to suit our daughters needs. We were placed in the exact block I had requested. The room was clean, and larger than I had expected. The bed was HUGE. The cleaner seemed to arrive quite late to our room which we didn’t mind, there was one occasion where we had arrived back to her cleaning our room still. She was friendly and tried to have a conversation with us despite us not understanding Spanish. Food: The only thing that let the hotel down was the food. It was very repetitive, but if you aren’t a fussy eater there would always be something different for you to eat. Unfortunately, I am quite fussy and did get bored of the food by day 4. We never had an issue at dinner, there was always a clear and clean table for us and the waiters always asked what we’d like to drink within 5 minutes of us being there. (We ate at approximately 7-7:30pm) Drinks service: There were often times at the bar where you would be waiting for a long time. We didn’t have an issues of this on our holiday, but did see others that had been waiting a while. We often just waited until the queue had gone down before deciding to get up and just kept an eye on queue and the drinks we had to ensure we didn’t end up waiting without one for ages.
We had a fabulous time and a great experience for our children’s first holiday, we celebrated my partners 30th birthday here too. The staff were polite and were always readily available to help. We would come back again, and prepare ourselves to eat out a few occasions.
Clean, slat water pools, service needs attention.
Location - 20 minute walk to town. Just over 10 mins to shops.
Atmosphere - relaxed plenty of sunbeds.
Rooms - clean but need tlc with broken fixtures.
Food - Breakfast was good. Lunch / Dinner was average/ under stocked at times.
Value - price high for service & value.
Service - poor, understaffed and dinner does not include a drinking water.
Reception - mixed, mostly polite. We encountered one rude lady.
Amenities good for families. Small fridge.
Cleaning team - very good.
Pool - 3 Salt water 1 Chlorine.
Return? - We would not return. For the price we paid - we have stayed in hotels with much better value, service levels and location to amenities . It was lovely and clean though.
Good hotel but lack of staff is noticeable

Hotel reception welcoming and staff very friendly. Accommodation was good, quiet,clean and spaciousness for two people with a pull out sofa for additional guests, room patio areas decked out with table and chairs and two recliner. Room cleaned every day. We found out one day that they remove the towels but do not replace them. Couldn’t call reception as room phone did not work, walked to reception then waited over 40 minutes for towels to arrive Pool is large with good facilities, beware water is cold and is also salt water. Plenty of sun beds available when we went end of July Meals in the buffet were as you would expect in any all inclusive hotel. Good choices, I certainly did not go hungry. The puddings on offer are excellent if you have a sweet tooth Fair choice of cocktails available, beers served only in half pint glasses but as it’s all inclusive it doesn’t matter. Good kids area and club Good activities available during the day NOW THE DOWN SIDE Basic problem with this hotel is the LACK OF STAFF The dining area at meal times at time resembles Buirut, tables are not cleared for ages there’s food on the floor no staff to get any water or wine etc for your table. We had to clear our own table then go looking for cutlery glasses etc Waste Bins along with the bins to leave plates cups etc around the pool area are not emptied all day Paper towel bins in toilets overflowing and again not emptied all day Only one person behind the bar in the evening resulting in at least a 15 minute wait to be served at busy times. I think the staff do an incredible job despite the shortage. The evening before we left I did noticed a slight improvement in the dining area but so many people had complained I think the hotel manager had to act For me this is a 3 Star hotel not a 4 Star until they sort the staffing shortage out. When they do I would certainly return
Good family holiday, location is good and great beaches
Genuinely had a good stay for 4nights with a toddler and my husband. But upon arrival we went to our room and the bathroom was not up to standard at all. As we were tired we left it and made a complaint in the morning, but was met with an abrupt response from a member of staff who did not allow me to express my concerns about the conditions of the bathroom and not being happy. Laura came in later who was very helpful, friendly and did her best to make us comfortable although the room could not be changed. Pool area is nice and various pools to choose from, especially liked the salt water pool. Needs more staff at the pool bar, but liked the slushy drinks. Free shuttle to one of the beached was good. Could do with more running times. We did all inclusive and i can say the food selection was nice, really enjoyed trying the various dishes. Our toddler enjoyed it and overall i think it is a good family holiday. Once those other areas are improved i think this could be an even better place. Lanzarote in general ins a lovely island what we saw if it and the weather was lovely in July mixed with a nice breeze.
Great hotel
We Just Got back from a 7 night stay at Elba we were in the premium suits. After some hesitation dur to all the negayive reviews we were amazed at the rooms so much soace and the clenliness was a 10/10, The food was varied and i would rate it 8/10, pool area was lovely and staff were very helpful my only criticism was not being told there was an adults only resturant abd descrovered this after 2 nights. Overall we enjoyed the stay we would defenitly come again!
