Awful, never again!
The rooms need to be clearer, there are two types of junior rooms and it really is a massive difference. One should be a lower price and option made clear. We was placed in a room with our newborn, the air con had dust coming out - heavily! The bathroom wasn’t fit for purpose. Thankfully, not needed but lack of lifeguards, 1 for all pools?? Terrible. No air con inside of reception and evening seating meant it was unbareable to sit and enjoy a drink with entertainment. Pool side is not clean, the filters in the pool was disgusting. Beds were filthy! Bar service during the day is so so long, sometimes 20 minutes for a drink isn’t good enough! The stench of sewage from the drains was so bad everywhere! The toilets by outside bar were always dangerously wet, dirty, tissue. The toilets inside of reception were always full of dirt and faeces. The fan in our room was dangerous as it wasn’t stuck to the ceiling correctly. The back door in our room was so so hard to close as the handle was broke.
There was a particular person that came out and told us that the first room was not fit for purpose - he also helped us move rooms. However, the second technician that came was rude and not accommodating at all!
Wouldn’t come back to an Elba ever again!

Average Hotel
Overall the hotel is a very average all inclusive.
Negatives: Food repetitive and average - which I’ve been to other 4 star all inclusive in Lanzarote and had much better variety, food that looked fresher and accommodated more dietary requirements. Only plus is milk variety. I know food can be a hot topic so I always lower my expectations but it truely wasn’t inspiring at all. Food hall also felt like a canteen didn’t feel nice to get dressed up for your evening meal.
Drinks are not self serve even at the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Even just for a soft drink or water? You’ve got to wait for a staff member to see you and grab you a drink which whilst they are cleaning plates away - many times we didn’t even get a drink or get seen or hunting for a staff member. Just not acceptable. I understand alcohol to manage the intake but not soft drinks.
Pool bar never open on time and queues INCREDIBLY long. People stood in long queues in 36 degree heat to get a drink is not on. Again soft drinks should be self serve to speed this up. Beer always flat.
Sun loungers tired and sagged in the middle not comfy.
Check in is ridiculously long. We waited around 40 mins to get seen to get checked in. Why use an iPad system when most customers take too long on it - also why all party members need to do this is beyond me. So a family of 4 have to take it in turn to pass around a form on an iPad to fill in. Spoiled to the start of the holiday and didn’t feel necessary at all.
Reception and inside of hotel is very dated.
Bar area for an evening outside does not have enough chairs at all.
Drink choices for cocktails and beers very poor. Beer always flat.

Pool was lovely I liked the way you could sit in the quieter areas if you liked but then if you had kids be where the entertainment was and kids pool/play area:

We stayed for a week on 15th September and I can honestly say that we had the best week! Our kids are 2 & 3 and it was really child freidnly. All staff were super friendly. We struggled to get into the ala carte restaurant so i would recommend to book upon arrival. The room was clean and fresh towels were given daily upon request. Good location. Pools were amazing, really clean and kids entertainment was fantastic. Watch out for the shower as we flooded the room night 1 as it doesn't drain quickly but it was no big deal. Food was good and exactly what i would expect for price point. Lots of options but pretty same same. Marina nearby was LOVELY but book restaurants ahead! We emailed ahead and asked for a quiet room which they gave us.

Elba entertainment was wonderful. Wine and cheese tasting. Rifle and archery. Barbeque was great.
We enjoyed in the hotel we love the activities with the entertainment team especially Lulu and Raymond very good now you have to oh no
