Caybech Sun is located in the south of Lanzarote, one of the most popular tourist áreas of the island. The nearest beach is around 600 metres away. The hotel comprises a total of 150 fully equipped apartments with terrace or balcony spread over 2 floors and surrounded by beautiful gardens with all services and facilities. A bar and a restaurant are available to enjoy the day with refreshing drinks and snacks. Also, you can spend the day in the outdoor swimming pool or in the sport área practicing Volleyball, Tennis or Basket. For children we also have a mini club and lots of activities with the entertainment team as well as a a children's park. Restaurants, bars , shops and public transport links can be found within 20-minute walk of the hotel.

All about it
I stayed at CayBeach sun for 8 nights with my family of 6 . Overall the hotel was pretty nice but here’s my honest review :
Location : The location of this hotel is pretty well placed , as it’s a self catering hotel there is an Aldi down the road (literally 5 minute walk) and an onsite supermarket which is really reasonably priced
Atmosphere: The atmosphere, I would say that most people in our hotel were nice and kind but some people weren’t , just giving looks but that could’ve just been our stay
Pool : There are a few pools at caybeach , two normal swimming pools that are around 1.5m deep but there was a shallow end in each pool at 1.2 , the children’s pool for little children was 0.4m if I remember correctly and then there was a splash pool and a pool for the 2 slides . The pools were abit dirty at the bottom with plastic cups and all dirt and plasters so it wasn’t very nice and the pools were kind of salty aswell but I can’t explain the feeling of the water
Loungers : Now this was probably a let down in the hotel , I personally feel like there isn’t enough loungers for every person in the hotel to at least have one lounger each , on weekdays you need to be down at around 7-7:30 am to claim a chair underneath your parasol and on weekends around 7:30-8am to claim your loungers . If you didn’t catch on : the loungers are locked during weekdays but the loungers are unlocked on weekends. Also be careful that you keep on checking on your towels and loungers as people like to move them for their own pleasure
Rooms : I came to Caybeach with my mother , nephew , my husband and my 2 kids and we got given 2 rooms right next to eachother . Our rooms contains , 2 beds and 2 sofa beds but if you only see one sofa bed pull out the bottom to make 2 and that’s where my kids slept and the same with my mothers room they were the same size . The bathroom in the rooms was a perfect size for our family but in our room (151) our drain stunk really bad and no one came to clean it , the showers had all limescale all on the top and some days the cleaners didn’t even change the towels . There is a table of 4 in our room but we never sat on it , it was mainly used to put our food on as there was little kitchen space . The kitchen space was pretty small and it contained, a bin , a cutlery draw , toaster , plates , microwave, glass , juice squeezer , but one thing I would say is there was no bowls in our room for cereal . It also has a cooker with 2 spaces to cook on and the Tupperware to cook with e.g the hob . There was a balcony which we put our wet clothes to dry after a day of swimming
What’s included: In the hotel there was a disco room but we never went to it so I can’t say anything about that , there was a pool bar which you could order food from , there was a little arcade for the kids , there was a spa , gym and indoor pool but no kids are allowed so it was pretty tricky with out family, there is a park but it gets very hot on the stuff so go in the morning or evening , there was also an Astro to play football
If your planning to stay at caybeach sun please take all of that’s been said into account for a good stay !
Fab holiday
Nice hotel/apartments clean and spacious. Great pool area plenty of sun loungers but limited parasols, pool opens 10-6 . Still get some idiots standing to reserve the spot they want quite funny really. We used snack bar twice for food but didn’t enjoy it horrible pizza and chicken burger. Amazing beach near by really clear water probably 20min walk. Didn’t see or experience any entertainment in the evening, so not much going on in the evening. Had a great week away wouldn’t want to stay any longer.

Made the most of it! Full honest review.
We had a one bed apartment on self catering basis, facilities were basic but perfectly adequate for a family sunshine week, definitely wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer. The air con is in the bedroom and the main living space made up for sleeping gets really warm. We had a nice terrace that gave easy access to the reception area, pool area and shop. There was a small washing liquid, sponge and towel and 1 litre of bottled water on arrival, no bathroom hand soap though! Aldi is a 5 min walk but the onsite shop is decent and has great bread and croissants when it opens at 830am, be quick though, they go fast! There was a kettle and toaster but no plug point in the small kitchen counter area which meant a side table at low child height had to be used so supervision of children necessary to ensure no accidents! Really not great tbh!
Room towels were changed twice during our stay, we left them drying so we assumed this is why they weren’t changed more frequently. Shower was good and lots of hot water. Plenty loo roll provided and room cleaned daily, was a floor and sink wash, bins emptied and beds made job. We hired some extra pool towels at €15 deposit each, but went to change them to find an extra charge of €1 per towel to do so! The deposit was fully refunded.
Some other guests during our stay took over the top pool by the kids area, reserving full sections of loungers and not being anywhere in sight until much later in the day, loud and overly boisterous, not creating a great family friendly atmosphere to be honest, disappointing that some people’s behaviour can spoil things for others. So we had to play the sun lounger reservation game, much to my disgust, but moved to the quieter bottom pool,, because if you don’t reserve the very limited (far too few) sun shade umbrellas they are taken and having a 5 year old in the intense sunshine, we need one - be warned! On a few occasions we just chose to go to the beach and pay €15 for two loungers and a brolly for the day without being around ignorant people, who also littered the pool area with empty cans and rubbish which then blew everywhere. I ended up picking up plenty of it!
We found the pool areas to be dirty (see pics) used plastic bar cups left with sticky drinks spilled, cigarette butts, straws etc rusty staples on the make do pool bar menus! Cleaning was observed as only a bucket and mop being used around pool bar area before 10am. The pool bar itself is dirty with lots of cigarette butts during the day aswell. It all needed a good hose down daily but never was during our week stay!
We know PB well and the walk to the beach is 15 mins with a 5 yr old, quicker for only adults! Marina Rubicon is 1.5km and walkable for nice restaurants and in the other direction along towards the ferry terminal plenty other generic restaurants and bars can be found. We got back a bit later than we would have wanted to on a couple of nights and would have used an onsite restaurant for evening meals if they had one, they don’t so we made the effort to go out for food with an exhausted 5yr old.
The evening kids entertainment was so quiet at the start of our stay, our granddaughter and two other children being all that attended but by the end of our week it was definitely busier. The guy who does this Tuesday- Saturday (it’s not on Sunday and Monday) was superb with the kids!
Our room wasn’t available for a late check out but we used the gym showers and were provided with clean towels free of charge.
We had a decent week in the sun but don’t think it was worth the £3k price tag we paid and with other thoughtless guests, the dirty pool area and no option of an evening meal onsite when needed we’d give this a miss in future!

Lovely place
Stayed many times over the years. Clean apartments, lovely pools, & lovely staff. Yes apartments are basic & could do with a refurbishment. Any issues we had the reception staff sorted it. Great location. We met some lovely people
Fun in the sun
After reading some of the reviews i was sllightly concerned .but this a very good family hotel i had a 2 bedroom with my to grandsons 5 and 7 basic but spacious pool area spotless .pool bar decent food at lunch time .their is a kids entertainer pica the guy works really hard and good with kids .all in we had a good time at this hotel. I found this hotel very safe for children
