Royal Level, Royal Experience….fabulous!!
The Royal Level experience makes such a wonderful holiday. Just very relaxed and quiet. Food quality is very good and for those that are on an all inclusive package, the drink brands and quality of cocktails are great. Pool bar at the RL was never overly busy and we liked the addition of the foliage around the posts of the bar making it more welcoming. Staff were all great and customer service was great. Our swim up rooms were perfect. We did however have to take any glasses we brought back to the room at the end of the night back to the Magical bar the next morning as the cleaners did not seem to want to take these away. Never seen this before. I did have a small altercation with a couple who were sitting outside their swim up room. I did swim past as your website indicates the swim up pools (not steps or patio) are not private and these can be used for access to those that have swim up rooms. The couple were very angry and were obviously trying to shout at me in their language (which I could not understand), then they shouted ‘private and no respect’ at me!! My wife also was videoed by them which was quite uncalled for. Perhaps RL reception on arrival make it perfectly clear what the parameters are to the swim up areas and that people are allowed to ‘swim by’ as long as they do not enter their private areas. We love the hotel and RL and will no doubt be re-booking in 2027!! Many thanks to the Barcelo staff for the wonderful, restful stay. From the Watetfall and Sullivan clans!!

Our stay
Great location great hotel great staff we have been 5 times now I think that says it all we will look to book again
Almost perfect, still needs a fine tune
3 rooms for 5 adults royal level for 6 nights on the AI option with our room being swim up.
The room was lovely, nice plunge pool. Cleaning was ok. One day the cups weren’t cleaned, another glasses left from previous day but nothing too major
Good location to Marina and town all walkable.
For me the parts that they could tweak include:
-
keep the pool bar open at night in royal level. The magical restaurant does serve drinks until 12am but not a lot of people use this

in royal level lounges have basic self service for some drinks, beer, wine, cava, soft drinks to take pressure off the bar areas

prevent residents from using their pools after 11pm. Our last night was significantly disturbed by inconsiderate neighbours who decided at 1am it was appropriate for a small group to congregate in their swim up section. Noise was shocking. We complained twice to reception and about 2am it went quiet again.
In all though it was a great stay.
The best holiday we have hd so far.
We will definitely be retuning to this hotel, We were Royal level. It was a lovely room, but we found we did not use the swim up pool much as it was not heated,
