Great Break at a fantastic family hotel
Visited Barceló Playa Adults Only Blanca Royal Level three times before, this time with family visited the main hotel. The hotel is a few years old now and the early teething problems ironed out, Barceló have listened and corrected as they have gone along. Vast heated pool, warmer children’s pool, rooms very well fitted out. Recommend paying extra to get rooms with loungers and sea view, they are located at the end of each block with great views and larger private balcony. The food is very good and the best you can get for a buffet of this type. I really, really, really can’t understand how anyone can complain or moan about the food, especially for the price we paid, it’s a bargain. We were half board and the drinks prices were very reasonable, so no rip off. The location of the hotel on the seafront, close to Rubicon marina and pleasant walk into the main town is ideal. Congratulations to Barceló on this hotel. Ignore the moaners and people who seem to go on holiday to complain and just book. Last piece of advice to book direct with Barceló and maximise all the discount codes available rather than package holiday.

Excellent service, location, food and drink but....
Location: Perfect, walking distance to the best part in Playa Blanca for restaurants at the Marina.
Atmosphere: Quiet but nice and relaxing
Rooms: biggest letdown and probably main reason I won't be back. Paid for a superior room that looked onto a main road, waste ground attached to hotel Hyatt across the road. I could see the sea if I hung over balcony. Worst part is the layout of room. Family of 3 which included an 11 year old boy. We had to sit on balcony anytime anyone wanted a shower as shower was in main room next to beds and a small bit of frosted glass. No child needs to see their mum and dad in a shower! Pull out bed once pulled out doesn't leave enough room to manoeuvre around sink and the 2 single beds pushed together to make a double isn't good enough. Nowhere at all to stand and get dressed privately. If cases any bigger than ours there is nowhere to store them. The sink being 15+ steps away from toilet in a seperate room to wash hands after toilet and through a door isn't hygienic.
Cleanliness: immaculate everywhere you went. Maids amazing and done a proper job daily.
Staff: all amazing and a credit to the hotel. Shout out to 4 who made holiday special in sports bar with there excellent service (Kevin, Gema, Samuel the boss and Elmedhi.
Food and drink: I've stayed in probably 30 all inclusive hotels all over the world and this is by far the best quality food and drink. Everything perfect.
If rooms were better layout and better view we would be back many times but for this reason we won't.

Fantastic stay.
Just returned from 11 night holiday with husband and teenage son. Excellent stay. Cleanliness, housekeeping, food, drinks were all excellent. Heated side of pool was a bonus and sunbeds plentiful. We were half board and could swap dinner for lunch easily which was great and the food choices, especially sweet treats were amazing. Had a fabulous holiday. Only slight downside was the shower being in the centre of the room, showering was difficult with a teenage son. Will definitely return however, would perhaps look at other room options. We used a courtesy room to shower and change on our last day and the shower room had a solid door that locked (howe ver think this may have been a disabled access room).

enjoyable place if you like 'BIG'
ear plugs if you don't like loud music. rooms with SV with their own sunbeds have a terrific views. good position for walks and exploring
Great visit
Booked a junior suite and got a fantastic room in the corner overlooking the pool and sea, slightly noisy at night due to being above the outdoor seating for the looby bar. It would be better if the room was separated with a wall though around the TV so you can get a little privacy from your child : ) I've been to a few hotels with the open plan bathrooms but privacy is really bad in these rooms , and seems to be same across all rooms after speaking to other guests. Water replenished every day, room cleaned well and fresh towels every day , lots of storage spaces and very good lighting set up. We went Hb as ai is over £500 extra, which is a lot of alcohol and drinks to consume to make it worth while. Breakfast expansive and the pastrie choices incredible! Lunch the 2 times we went was good and more than enough choices . Evening meals quality is 1 of the best I've experienced in Spanish ai's , not on par with servatur Puerto Azul though, this is mostly down to the same options every night bar some flavouring changes. The pasta station could surely mix it up to maybe asian cuisine 1 or 2 nights a week . Loved not having to set an alarm, so much sun beds available it was great ! The main first pool is heated to around the same as the air temperature last week so must have been 26 to 28 degrees so very easy to use, even the larger 1 wasn't even that bad to use as must have been only a few degrees colder ! All poolside entertainment staff were excellent and enjoyed a few games of paddle. Evening shows in the theatre are just soulless ! Great venue visually but the sound from the shows is just horrific.
Happily come back for the right price as the food quality was high, no sunbed wars, fantastic pool, fabulous location . Sort out all the crumbling walk ways around the pool, and buffet not the same every night we tried it , then it would have been a 5/5 review
