The family-friendly hotel Sol Lanzarote is perfectly situated in a peaceful location in Matagorda, frontline to the sandy beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Guests will appreciate a wonderful pool landscape; part of the hotel is designed in a Flintstones style, with themed rooms and a themed restaurant as well as a Flintstones Bazaar. A shopping centre is only 200 metres away; the popular holiday resort of Puerto del Carmen is easily reachable by public transportation. An ideal hotel for families with children who wish to spend a beach holiday. We would like to inform you that the time has come to proceed with the repair of our three pools to offer a modern and functional product. For all this we wanted to inform you that we have decided, for the best achievement of this repair and above all to avoid inconvenience to our customers and partners, proceed to the temporary closure of this pool from the day 12/11/2020 with an estimated duration of 1 month. We are delighted to inform that the hotel will have another 2 swimming pools available and all the services will run as normal within the new reality adapted to the Covid-19 under the program Stay Safe with Melia.

We visited as a large family group in August 26. Food was just ok somedays and worse on others. The bizarre pool policy was ridiculous. People queuing behind a pool rope from 8.45 until 10am when the pool police opened the rope. I have never experienced anything like it. The cup saga was pretty much the same and you had to bring your cup everywhere you went or pay 1 euro if you lost it. 10 euro deposit on towels. Just seemed like a lot of silly rules on what was meant to be a relaxing family holiday. On the plus side location is very good for beach and airport and a short walk to the shops and restaurants. Lorenzo was brilliant and keep us all entertained. Would have been a lot more relaxed without the silly rules around sun loungers and cups

Fabulous location, excellent staff, great food plenty of entertainment!!
This was an amazing hotel full of fabulous entertainment. Special thanks to the entertainment team who kept our children engaged in constant sessions including paddle boarding, foam party, yoga just to name a few!
The evening entertainment was spectacular each night there was a full on show which never disappointed!
The all inclusive food was constant best buffet you can find plenty of choices to suit everyone’s the snack bar was open all day with lots of hot snacks and drinks on tap!
Would recommend a room with sea view was worth the extra money!
Would absolutely stay here again you will not regret it!

Amazing stay
Lovely stay at Sol Lanzarote, 2 weeks lots of stuff to do in the day for kids and adults, very child friendly! Entertainment team are brilliant and work so hard all day. Would definitely come back again

Fab hotel
Amazing hotel with friendly staff. Rooms nice and cleaned daily. Plenty of choice for food, drinks and snacks. Really enjoyed our stay. Location is brilliant, shops within 5 minute walk either side and a beautiful view of the beach.
