The family-friendly hotel Sol Lanzarote is perfectly situated in a peaceful location in Matagorda, frontline to the sandy beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Guests will appreciate a wonderful pool landscape; part of the hotel is designed in a Flintstones style, with themed rooms and a themed restaurant as well as a Flintstones Bazaar. A shopping centre is only 200 metres away; the popular holiday resort of Puerto del Carmen is easily reachable by public transportation. An ideal hotel for families with children who wish to spend a beach holiday. We would like to inform you that the time has come to proceed with the repair of our three pools to offer a modern and functional product. For all this we wanted to inform you that we have decided, for the best achievement of this repair and above all to avoid inconvenience to our customers and partners, proceed to the temporary closure of this pool from the day 12/11/2020 with an estimated duration of 1 month. We are delighted to inform that the hotel will have another 2 swimming pools available and all the services will run as normal within the new reality adapted to the Covid-19 under the program Stay Safe with Melia.

Superb family holiday
Our last night, and before the holiday blues kick in too much I would just like to drop a few lines down about the fantastic time we’ve all had here. The hotel firstly is in a great location. Right next to the beach and the coastal walk. The rooms and facilities are great. Sure some people will say it could do with an up date in places but personally I loved it. We had a sea view and I’m gonna is it so much. Food and drinks were great. Had no problem finding something to eat and drink each day. The staff were lovely and ever so friendly. But I have to give a special shout out to Nathan and the entertainment team whom have made this holiday extra special. They’ve literally had us creased every day and have added an extra star for sure.
To anyone considering coming here. I would thoroughly recommend it. You’ll have the best time with your family and friends. We’re hoping to be back soon

Mixed feelings
We had a great week at Sol Lanzarote. Nathan and the entertainment team were the best we have had. Sadly not a 5* due to outdated, damp and mouldy hotel rooms and several rude reception staff. We found catering staff amazing, going above and beyond As were the team cleaning tables. Without Nathan this would be a lower review as our child had the BEST week ever with the kids team. Location is amazing. For the money it was a great week, just shame about the poor reception and room experience. Could easily be improved with training and decorating.

Fantastic Stay - Highly recommend!
We recently had a wonderful stay at the hotel and really enjoyed our time there. The food was excellent, with a great variety of choices to suit everyone, and there was always something different to try. Our room was lovely, spacious, clean and very comfortable, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the stay. A special mention has to go to the entertainment team especially Nathan and Nestor!! They were incredibly friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic, and there were plenty of fun activities to get involved in throughout the day. There was always something going on at the resort, so we were never short of things to do especially with the beach only across the path via a secure gate. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We’d happily return!
