The family-friendly hotel Sol Lanzarote is perfectly situated in a peaceful location in Matagorda, frontline to the sandy beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Guests will appreciate a wonderful pool landscape; part of the hotel is designed in a Flintstones style, with themed rooms and a themed restaurant as well as a Flintstones Bazaar. A shopping centre is only 200 metres away; the popular holiday resort of Puerto del Carmen is easily reachable by public transportation. An ideal hotel for families with children who wish to spend a beach holiday. We would like to inform you that the time has come to proceed with the repair of our three pools to offer a modern and functional product. For all this we wanted to inform you that we have decided, for the best achievement of this repair and above all to avoid inconvenience to our customers and partners, proceed to the temporary closure of this pool from the day 12/11/2020 with an estimated duration of 1 month. We are delighted to inform that the hotel will have another 2 swimming pools available and all the services will run as normal within the new reality adapted to the Covid-19 under the program Stay Safe with Melia.

Fantastic Holiday
We had the best time! Hotel has everything you need! Food was different every night, and the entertainment was amazing! Hotel staff and entertainment team made our stay, so welcoming and encouraging. We are already looking at staying here next year too.
Amazing hotel!!!!!!
Been at this lovely hotel 4 times now and never disappoints. Front desk is friendly all staff work really hard all day. Breakfast is the best as you have so much variety. Hotel is situated in Matagorda the beach is right on your door step. Very lively with entertainment team doing activities with holiday makers. Nathan was was fully engaging getting people to join in.
Rooms are spacious I had the extra sol with sea view. Clean daily and I’d say it’s very much value for money.

Lovely hotel
Lovely clean hotel good vibes staff lovely lorenzo is a funny member recommend hotel
Great location
Great location on the beach, close to bars and restaurants, and perfect for daytime and evening walks or runs/cycles. Entertainment team, led by Lorenzo are good fun and work very hard to keep everyone happy during the day. We struggled with food a few nights as we are all vegetarian so were really restricted. Other nights had more options and food was decent - better heading to restaurant early to get the freshest/ hot food. There are lots of restaurant choices nearby if want to eat out some nights. Pools were really clean, no rush for sunbeds in october. All inclusive beer is decent (san miguel) and bar staff are lovely. Entertainment finishes up quite early at night but that suited us. We had sea view family room which was okay for 3 of us. The balcony was pretty small but we didnt spend much time on it.

Good location and a good hotel
My honest review about the hotel, great location in matagorda hotel right opp the beach which is very lovely the beach. The hotel is a little outdated, the food in the main dining hall was ok as a previous reviewer had said go early bc the food is a lot hotter the later u leave it is very tepid the food temp, breakfast was about the best for me but the snack bar was pretty decent near the pool area.
The rooms are a good size we were overlooking the gardens and sea front, plenty of cats about which didn’t bother us.
If you fancy a good walk, u can walk to puerto del carmen which is a good hr to the harbour along the coastal path, or another lovely wall down to playa Honda past the airport.
Matagorda is a lovely resort it’s quiet at night if u fancy a drink or a meal away from the hotel, most bars have entertainment, bus stop is not far from the hotel, no 3 into puerto del carmen.
All in all the hotel was fine especially for the location.
