An excellent hotel.
This was our second visit to this hotel this year and we will be staying here again. The place is immaculate in every respect. The staff, from the cleaning staff to reception personnel and restaurant were unfailingly courteous, friendly and helpful. We met many people who have been coming for over 10 years. One gentleman I spoke to had been coming for 23 years. The restaurant is good and there are many other restaurants nearby. The clientele there were, like ourselves, there for a quiet, peaceful, holiday in a quality environment and that is exactly what we got. Nice and quiet in the evenings this hotel is ideal for families and those who are not looking for the party scene. One tip I would suggest for travellers. Travel light with carry on bags as there are perfectly adequate washing facilities on site and it means you walk off the plane and, after clearing passport control, you are less than 10 minutes by taxi from the hotel. This is a great benefit compared to having to sit on a bus and travel round a number of drop off points first. There is honestly nothing negative I can say about this hotel. It was excellent. Excellent hotel with a chilled vibe.
Whilst we have stayed in Matagorda several times before, this was our first visit to Costa Sal. We have been very impressed. We requested a ground floor apartment by the pool and that is what we got. A very spacious, quiet room. Only negative was that the kitchen was very basic for cooking. Oven only had one shelf/tray which was frustrating on our first night as after a late arrival, we grabbed 2 pizzas from the Spar and couldn’t cook them together! We really only intended cooking breakfast but if families stay with children, they might require better facilities. Pool area is lovely, no rush for sunbeds and very laid back. Bar was open from lunchtime and onsite supermarket was very useful. Location is great, in between Matagorda square and Pocillos. Plenty of restaurants nearby. If you want more nightlife , there is a bus service to Puerto del Carmen. The complex is built in layers so lots of steps or ramps to get around. Several gates to exit complex which is very helpful. Friendly staff. We didn’t eat at hotel so can’t comment.

Fantastic
Lovely hotel very clean, perfect rooms very spacious great channels on tv. Pool area great lots of sunbeds available very peaceful. No lilos allowed in pool though. Would highly recommend this place only 5 minute walk to bars and returants, spar shop close by too that sells everything you need.

Illunion Costa Sal Spa with Christine
This review is solely for Christine who runs the spa. Went for the deal of the week which was an hour. It was an express facial and reflexology. All this for €69 . It was amazing!! I like to go for treatments so I do know when someone is amazing. That is Christine! From start to finish she just knew exactly what she was doing. Considering it was an express facial there was nothing express about it and her reflexology was the best I have ever had! She knew exactly what to work on without me saying a word. I left feeling so relaxed and I’ve already booked her for a therapeutic massage on Monday! Would highly recommend!!

Super Hotel
Arrived late at night with friends to be greeted by the very friendly reception team who had upgraded our room which was fantastic and so much space and large balcony . Could not fault this hotel . Great location . A 10 minute walk down to seafront with a walkway that goes on for miles either way with lovely beaches and a viewing point for the aeroplanes landing. Super friendly staff who couldnt do enough . Both pools were spotlessly clean. The grounds and facilities also. I would 100 % return to this fantastic hotel. Superb value for money
