Hotel is excellent. 5 mins from the centre. 10 mins from the beach. Hotel is clean and the rooms are basic but spotless. Staff are so friendly and always smiling. Food is good and we never went hungary. The pub on the side is ace, and free if your all inclusive which is a bonus. Enjoyed it so much, returning for Christmas and New Year. THANK YOU THB for a totally chilled out holiday.
As locations go this hotel is bang in the middle of it all, a stones throw from the beach, shops & restaurants are no more than seconds away. After booking a standard room with a pool view we were upgraded to a superior with a sea view. The room had been recently refurbished & was well appointed with tea & coffee making facilities, a large fridge, microwave & a small hob. The bed was super comfy, the bathroom was a nice size & clean & the shower was great. The pool area was busy, we went down on our 1st day to find no sun loungers available. There were towels on beds which had clearly been there for a while unused. So we went to the beach instead. There is a distinct sewage smell in some areas the lift in our block (block 1) was almost unusable at certain times because of it and on occasion it could be smelt on the balcony. We were room only so are unable to comment on food. Eating out was very convenient. There is free chilled water available from a machine in reception where bottles can be refilled. Overall the building itself is tired & there is visible damage in areas, I'm not sure it qualifies as a 4 star
Excellent central location, close to beach, shops, restaurants, bars. A special shout out to the staff, especially The entertainment staff, Rosemary and Daniel. They were amazing ! They got everyone involved in both day and night time activities and entertainment. My husband won the archery, we joined in riffle shooting and darts, there was also water polo, volleyball, aqua aerobics and fun kids club where they had so much fun! They made our stay very enjoyable! There was no queues for drinks, the food was a good standard. We had a great holiday !
THB LANZAROTE BEACH
Let me start by saying I always take reviews with a pinch of salt and 9/10 I find people will complain about anything & the positive outweigh the negatives. I have travelled a lot and stayed in lots of 4/5 star hotels.
However… I’ve got to say this hotel is not a 4 star hotel…. Possibly scrapping a 3 star and let me tell you why.
I travelled with my 11 year old daughter and stayed in block 2 in room 2318N. We paid for all inclusive. We arrived to the hotel about midday but our room wasn’t ready until 3. We were served by Petra who was informative, friendly and professional. She remember us the whole week. I’ll get on to the other staff later but on a whole they were great at reception.
The hotel was basic, no air con in reception, the storage room for our luggage was tiny and nowhere to get changed other than the bathroom. Reception area was clean but the sofas/ chairs need replacing.
The room was big but basic, clean enough and fresh towels everyday, beds made up too and a clean. The shower was decent and the hairdryer was powerful. The actual pillows were gross with brown stains on one luckily there were spare in the wardrobe. We had a pool view room which was nice. The sea view rooms were incredible views if you were first or second floor. We had a bad experience with some other guests kicking off at 1am screaming, fighting, kicking doors through, (quite scary) and the police were called.
It was easy to get a bed each day as long as you were down by 8. Never had any issues with towels being removed off beds. You can hire decent pool towels for 10€ which can be replaced with the pool mam throughout the day. The swimming pool is how others described, murky and quite dirty at times. It was cleaned every night though. One day there was a strange yellow substance on the top in the corner which someone said was sick and everyone had to get out but the management confirmed it was sun cream/ oil. There was a strong smell of drains/sewers however I don’t think this was the hotel, I’ve been before to a different hotel and smelt the same smell walking close by.
All inclusive…. Breakfast was great lots to offer from freshly made omelettes, pancakes, Nutella, fresh fruit, cereals, bacon, hash browns, sausage etc. Lunch - served at the pool bar. Again this was ok. Basic salads, rice, pasta, chips. Most days they swooped between hot dogs, burgers and pizzas for the main bits everyday. The all inclusive drinks were their own spirits, a small selection of cocktails, beer and all fizzy drinks.
So the bit that really let this place down didn’t happen to us directly but to a family we spent the week with. They requested a room move after paying for an adjoining room and getting two separate rooms telling them it would be safe for the children (youngest one being 7 to have a room on their own) they spent one night in the separate rooms with one adult in each. Petra then sorted this out for them the next day and they finally got what they paid for. Unfortunately during the move they left a credit card and a driving licence in the safe. They did t realise until days later. Only to find numerous transactions and £200 spent. The hotel claimed to know nothing about it but when we enquired with the people now staying in that room they confirmed they found them and gave them to a particular member of staff, they even went back to check they had found the owner of the cards. Which they confirmed they had!!!! So long story short the member of staff finally admitted to having the cards handed to him and stated he tried to contact the owner but without success then threw them in the bin!! No contact made, to either the owner or card issuer. Police are involved and hopefully an outcome will be reached. Be careful!!!
Things we did…. The watermark was fab. Buy a snorkel and go left out of the hotel back entrance and keep walking until you come to a cove (10 minutes) and it’s simply beautiful. (Picture included)
Would I go back to this hotel… no but we made the best of it and had a good week. Hi un
Absolutely fantastic experience I was nervous being on my own (due to untoward circumstances ) and didn’t ever feel uncomfortable so if you’re a solo dont hesitate 👍 Brilliant hotel spotlessly clean food is lovely and service from the staff excellent
