Boasting a prime location on Lanzarote's east coast, this hotel enjoys an ideal setting on a truly delightful island. Its unbeatable location on Costa Teguise, just 18 minutes' drive from Lanzarote airport and just a 7-minute walk from city centre, makes it the perfect starting point for those wishing to explore this island paradise. The establishment offers customers a choice of comfortable apartments, all tastefully decorated and equipped to provide every comfort, including private terraces. This family-friendly hotel offers an extensive entertainment programme and sports options, such as windsurfing, tennis or paddle surf. As for the hotel facilities, the pool bar and two restaurants are the perfect places to enjoy a sophisticated dining or a relaxed breakfast experience, and a variety of pools are available for all customers wishing to take a refreshing dip or simply sunbathe.
We have hosted 7 Training Camps over the last 5 years at Sands Beach. We have seen the 'just out of Covid' back to some kind of normality!!!
The staff in the hotel are out of this world and make my job so much easier taking some of the stress away from me. This is from the cleaners, to the restaurant staff, reception and most of all our Groups Manager Ryan Jenkins who is a legend from booking to getting us on our way off the Island with the transfers.
Looking forward to the improvements but Sands is like a second home to some of us.
I have taken numerous training camps to Sands Beach over the past decade. The venue is great for triathlon training and coaching. I'm delighted to hear the hotel is undergoing some improvements and look forward to spending time at Sands Beach again in the future. Special mention to Ryan Jenkins at Sands Beach who made my job so much easier in organising large groups of people.
Came with my family for the Week. I must say I read old review and was regretting booking. But once there the place was lovely and clean . Staff were super friendly. The rooms were super clean and cleaned daily. Some parts of furniture was outdated. But bed was comfy too. Was quiet at night which was great for kids. The pools were all clean and my son enjoyed them. Life gaurds where on duty too. There is a shop in the hotel for bits and bobs. Which was very handy. We came half board . Breakfast was lovely. Full English breakfast and pastry’s and great fruit and cereal . Also special made omelettes to your liking. Tea every night was different there was 4 different meats to choose from. Soup and salads and cheese options . Also lots of veg and pasta dish too. And not to forget desert bar too. All lovely not a bad meal. For lunch we mostly went to mai tia they had large selection of food and icecreams . All lovely.
The walk to town was about 10-15 min. There is lovely beach and shops and restaurants. In town We also hired scooters . And booked a dolphin boat ride which we do recommend .
There was not much I could complain about all lovely when there and would go back again. Only downfall was kids park it was weathered and bits broken . And large cracks in floor. But kids still enjoyed playing there.
We have been going to the Sands Beach Resort Hotel for many years, both on holiday and for our annual triathlon training camp with the athletes I coach.
We love the relaxed atmosphere around the hotel, and with a variety of pools and plazas, there’s plenty to offer both the relaxing and active type! We really like the spacious rooms with plenty of areas for bikes, bike boxes, wetsuits, cases etc. As active holiday makers, we bring a lot of kit!
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The reception and restaurant staff always remember us. We go half board, as with training it’s easier and on our recent trip we noticed a marked improvement in the quality of food at the evening buffet. We also saw improvements starting to happen around the site and are excited to see how the new owners develop the complex.
Ryan, the Group's Manager, has been brilliant each year, helping us arrange our training camps, and only this week, my athletes have been discussing our 2027 camp! We can’t wait to get back out there!
Whilst the hotel is at the end of the resort, it’s not out on a limb like some big hotels there. It’s only a short walk to shops, restaurants and bars, should you want them. It’s a great base for training, relaxing and exploring the island.
Hasta Luego!/ See you soon.
