A Good Resort Let Down by Inconsistent Housekeeping and Administrative Errors. I spent eight days at the Radisson Blu Resort, Lanzarote. Overall, it is a very good adults only resort in peaceful surroundings overlooking the sea. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the buffet restaurant is one of the hotel's highlights, offering an excellent selection of fresh, well presented food served by friendly and attentive staff. Unfortunately, housekeeping, the spa and repeated administrative errors significantly spoiled the experience. I booked directly through the Radisson website as a solo traveller, choosing a Junior Suite with Sea View and upgrading to the Crown Service package (€40 per day), which included a reserved padded sunbed, complimentary snacks and drinks, discounted spa treatments, private airport transfers, and airport lounge access. ARRIVAL- Check-in felt underwhelming. As a first time guest I was given very little information, and when shown to my room the staff member simply pointed to the door and left without explaining either the room or the resort. HOUSEKEEPING - Housekeeping was the biggest disappointment. On entering my room, the floor was covered in previous guests' sticky footprints (photo) and several large cockroaches were running around (video). Although the room appeared to have been prepared, it fell well below an acceptable standard. I reported the matter, and the Guest Services Manager dealt with it quickly and professionally, arranging an immediate clean and personally introducing me to the resort's facilities. Unfortunately, the problems continued throughout my stay. Despite choosing the Light Housekeeping option, where towels and supplies should still be checked daily, but weren't, bottled water was often not replaced, used towels disappeared without being replaced, the empty tissue box was removed but not replaced, and I repeatedly had to contact reception for basic items. My bed was never made, apart from when the bedding was changed only once during my eight day stay. SPA - The spa was disappointing. It consisted of a treatment room, a very small sauna, small compact steam room, and a very small jacuzzi where only two of the four hydrotherapy jets were working. There was no relaxation area, and the spa was often closed during the day. It felt functional rather than luxurious and fell below the standard I expected from a Radisson Blu resort. There is, however, a well equipped gym opposite the spa. RESTAURANT - Food quality, presentation, and variety were consistently first class. I did notice that the evening meal check-in desk was often unattended and positioned away from the restaurant entrance, making it easy for guests without dinner included to enter unnoticed. CROWN SERVICES - Whether Crown Service offers good value depends on how you intend to use it. The private airport transfer was excellent and well worth it. However, my reserved sunbed was incorrectly labelled, making it unclear which bed had been allocated to me. Reception corrected the mistake the next day. Access to the paid Crown Service area also appeared to receive very little monitoring. On several occasions I observed guests using the complimentary food and drinks who did not have Crown Service access. Better management would help preserve the value of a service guests pay extra for. ADMINSTRATION - Admin errors became a recurring theme. Despite booking and checking in as a solo traveller, the hotel repeatedly recorded me as two guests. This resulted in incorrect sunbed reservation, duplicate Crown Service charges and incorrect spa charges, all of which required correction and caused a level of stress. It reflected the overall impression of a hotel that did 'just enough' rather than going the extra mile. FINAL THOUGHTS - Would I return? Probably not. The resort has many strengths, particularly the restaurant, grounds and accommodation, but the housekeeping failures, admin errors, and overcharging prevented what should have been a premium experience.
Sitting waiting to go back to airport with sadness. What a fantastic holiday. The hotel, food, staff, pools, everything was amazing. There are 4 pools in total all too cold for me! We had room 172 junior suite on ground floor right by pool furthest away by ocean but tight near Maar bar. Fab selection of foods and good quality. We upg to crown service when we arrived at hotel and highly recommend it. We had two glasses of cava on arrival and porter service with cases. Reserved sun beds, private transfers and lounge at airport, drinks and food at maar bar 11-6. 50% off late check out and 10 off spa treatments. You get more booking crown direct with hotel. Resort 20 min walk along promenade. Nice little resort but not overpowered by bars if you looking for crazy! Some decent shops. Buses to nearby places good. Open mall good for bit of mall shopping and a short bus ride away. Sunday market huge but be prepared for crowds and buses-often full so taxi about 22 euros each way. Special mentions to natti, Oliver and Nicole and Alejandra but all staff lovely and hard working. We hired mobility scooters to zip around on but chargers are indoors. Our first was too big to get into the charging space and we had to have two singles instead. Staff were very helpful trying to make it work! All in all fantastic and we will definitely be back.
First of all I want to say this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The pools are gorgeous and the hotel is super clean. Food was absolutely delicious staff were amazing and the rooms were gorgeous. When you check on you get a towel card which you hand over daily to get a fresh towel for at the pool. There’s a gym and a few shops around. Main square is about 15 min walk away. This hotel has the most chilled out vibes so if you want a holiday to just relax this if for you. No sunbed wars at all plenty every time of the day. Pool can be a little chilly but once you brave it it’s fine and they are massive. Cannot wait to come back my favour place now I’m going to become a regular! 5stars!
Great hotel! Our favourite. Returned in the summer for 2nd time after staying here at NYE 3 years ago. Had a great time then and this time too! Standards still top quality. Large rooms and balcony with table and loungers. Breakfast has a wide variety to cater for all dietary needs. We didn't eat dinner here as like to go into the centre for food and bars. But we heard from others that food is good at night too and I believe them as many are return visitors. Some coming back after 2months! Plenty of pools to choose from and plenty of sunbeds. No need for the mad dash in the morning to reserve one. Calm atmosphere. Staff polite and do anything for you. Drinks and pool lunch bar great. Nice addition of free filter water for guests so you don't need to buy water from shop. Love this place so much we will be back again for a third time and many more in the future. Nice 15min walk into centre along beach to bars and restaurants. Wellness spa and gym too.
Another amazing stay at the Radisson , With welcoming staff , cleanliness & great food . Will be back.
