El Guarapo Apartments is an independent and small scale complex of apartaments, providing for the Guests unique 5* experience of Lanzarote. Complex (40 units) is located in the beautiful and tranquil neighbourhood of Costa Teguise. It is a five-minute walk to the main area of Pueblo Marinero (where you will find the atmospheric restaurants, bars and local produce sellers on Tuesdays), or a ten minute walk will take you to Jabillo beach that is popular with locals.
El Guarapo Apartments was founded in 1987, when renowned local architect Luis Díaz Feria was comissioned to design a small scale and intimate complex combining traditional island architecture and the latest modern practices. Recently renovated, El Guarapo Apartments are set around a swimming pool, and together with the tranquil gardens, it makes the ideal base from which to experience the unique volcanic island of Lanzarote.

An excellent family friendly resort
We had a fantastic stay at the El Guarapo apartments. We were impressed by the cleanliness of our rooms and the overall site. The pool was lovely and a good size. The staff were very friendly, especially Natalia on reception and she helped us to hire a car which thoroughly recommend as a great way to explore the island. The bar staff were also very friendly and the food in the cafe was exceptional. Our bed was comfortable and we had a great poolside view. My husband especially enjoyed the cooked breakfast. The location is perfect as it is close to the beach and there is a shortcut next to the apartments to get into the main town which has a wide choice of shops, restaurants and other facilities.

Great stay
Excellent size rooms and clean, for great cost. Cleaning every other day. Enough facilities for self catering. Nice pool area kept clean and tidy and breakfast available at the poolside bar. Peaceful location but just a short walk down the side path to the supermarket and main square with many restaurants and bars. A short stroll down the road to 3 other lovely restaurants too. Had a small issue with one of the rooms, but reception quick to communicate and resolve. A lovely break for 5 days, would definitely return. Thank you ☺️

Not enough sunbeds
Not enough sunbeds for all guests however when asked if they had anymore they didn’t unless we paid for one for our balcony- how do u work that out???

Really nice place, shame about the lack of sunbeds
We really enjoyed our recent stay, rooms are very clean and spacious, all your needs are provided for self catering. The pool was very nice, only downside was the lack of sunbeds, there were 32 for an establishment with 40 rooms, so they don’t have enough for even half of their guest when it’s fully booked. This resulted in a mad scramble each morning to secure a bed. They have a young receptionist called Hattie who was very friendly and extremely efficient, however be aware that they only provide a reception service between 9 and 430
Best Costa Teguise Apartment Yet.
We have stayed in many apartments in Costa Teguise over many years, mainly in the town or towards Cuchuras. El Guarapo is on the other side of the town, near Playa Bastion. The area is quiet, mainly residential or holiday homes and 0nly a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Despite being in such a quiet tranquil area the apartments are only a 5 minute walk to the nearest shops and a further 2 minutes to the main square. This was the best apartment we have had in Costa Teguise by far. The apartments are large, clean, well furnished and south facing. Kitchen facilities were a bit basic but perfectly adequate to prepare meals. The apartment was cleaned every other day. Our apartment, (no.6), was on the ground floor adjacent to the good sized pool but even during the day it was quiet. Sun beds were a bit of an issue, we did see people reserving beds whilst it was still dark, despite multiple notifications from the management that reservations for more than 15 minutes were not allowed. This didn't bother us as we were so close to the pool anyway, but the frustration of other clients was very obvious. There was a cafe on site with limited opening hours but we cannot comment on this as we did not use it at all during our stay. It was being well used for breakfast though. The reception was only open from 9 - 5 and there was no daytime or evening entertainment - sheer bliss! We would highly recommend El Guarapo Apartments for anyone wanting a peaceful holiday in nice quiet surroundings but still close to all the attractions of the town and beaches. If you are looking for a lively holiday with plenty going on then this is definitely not the place for you. We will definitely be coming back in the not too distant future.
