- Aparthotel Blue Sea Costa Teguise Beach

Here on the north east coast of Lanzarote - in the heart of Costa Teguise - is the beautiful white sandy beach of Playa El Jabilillo. It's a wonderful spot - unspoilt sand, azure blue sea and lots of lovely sunshine. Just off the beach is the Aparthotel Blue Sea Costa Teguise Beach with superb views out over the sea, as well as easy access to gorgeous parkland. It's a wonderful place to stay and enjoy Lanzarote.
The spacious one bedroom apartments at the Aparthotel Blue Sea Costa Teguise Beach are attractively designed and furnished in the traditional Canarian style. That means lots of light colours and attractive prints.
The apartments certainly give you plenty of living space. As well as the en suite bedroom, there's a separate lounge and a kitchenette, so you can move in and make the place your own for a week or two. You'll enjoy a great range of amenities to make you feel right at home including satellite TV, telephone, and hair dryer. You can also request a safe and a kettle for a small fee.
Another great feature is your balcony. There's nothing better than taking a little time out of your daily schedule to just sit out and relax. Enjoy the sounds of the beach, and the feel of that lovely Mediterranean sun on your face.
One of the best things about an apartment holiday is that you have the freedom to be as self-sufficient as you want, but there are also lots of great communal facilities to enjoy too. It's the best of both worlds.
Here you find two outdoor swimming pools as well as a great poolside snack bar, ideal for sitting out and perhaps socialising in the sun. With a great restaurant and bar on site, you have the choice whether to self-cater or not. With even more great restaurants at Costa Teguise, you're certainly spoilt for choice.
The Aparthotel Blue Sea Costa Teguise Beach is your base for a very comfortable stay. This really is a great place to relax.
Perfectly situated in the heart of Costa Teguise, on the north east coast of Lanzarote, the Aparthotel Blue Sea Costa Teguise Beach is in a privileged position just off the white sandy beach of Playa El Jabilillo. The aparthotel enjoys stunning sea views and is very close to a number of parks, gardens and the resort's local amenities.
We had a lovely week at this hotel. Food was good. Repetitive, like every other hotel, but there was plenty of choice. Reviews have stated that the food is cold. I’d guess that It’s probably difficult trying to keep all dishes hot, but there’s microwaves all over the dining room if you needed to heat your food up. Staff are lovely. Rooms cleaned every day. Pool area clean and tidy. A 30min walk takes you into the town, and it’s a nice walk along the coast. Market on a Sunday is a must. $15 for a bus from the hotel but there’s a local bus which will take you there for a few euros. Drinks must be watered down, couldn’t taste any alcohol at all - even although half then glass gets filled? Entertainment was ok. For the price we paid I would definitely return.
Awful place.Awful people.Decor is from the 70s . When your called the blue sea hotel . You expect to see white with accents of blue not disgusting mustard colours . I’m 43 kitchen had been around ten years before I was even born. Stayed on the Canary Islands 20 plus times this place was the worst.
Just come back from the hotel 2 days ago, so review is fresh in my mind.
I was part of 6 guys on a stag do. Most of us 40+ in age, so partying is a little behind us. We stayed there from a friday to a monday.
The hotel looked clean and well maintained. We booked in and made our way down to our room (very long corridors). The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The water in the shower was warm at best, and was only warm/hot on our last day, typical lol. Forget running a bath, it wouldn't be hot enough, plus the water pretty much dribbles out of the taps... so was take years to fill the bath up. The safe did not work, possibly run out of battery. The heating/air con did not work either. Towels were changed daily and the cleaners were good.
Nightlife - the entertainment was pretty poor really. Bingo one night with karaoke, then the same for the next day. The last night had a singer. We ended up going into town anyway as we were on a stag. Taxi was about €6.
Drinks - we were all inclusive. The drinks were decent, and super strong as expected (no measures used abroad). If you wanted cocktails, this was an extra cost.
Food - this was a proper let down. Breakfast - one of the stations did eggs and pancakes. No sauces, Nutella etc. The main choices were in the middle as you enter. The breakfast sausages were like hot dogs, the bacon was mostly the fatty bit (no actual bacon on there). The toaster was ok, but put it in twice for it to brown. You'd think there would be jam or butter next to the bread and toaster right?... nope, the butter was in the middle of the foods by the cereals.
Afternoon/lunch... snacks bar... this was poor. Just bread, 2 hams, cheese and some salad. No butter or jams. Very poor.
Evening - there were chips, fish, battered cauliflower, chicken and beef. The quality was rubbish and the choice of food was poor. We ended up going into town on the 3rd day just to have something decent to eat in the bars.
Coffee/tea - the teabags were disgusting and the cappuccino tasted like hot chocolate.
There was a draught machine for coke and lemonade etc. This was unavailable in the morning and opened for lunch onwards only.
Pools - these were really well kept. Spotless and were cleaned first thing in the morning. They were freezing though, so I couldn't go in as it was way too cold for me.
Plenty of sunbeds there for all to use.
Gym - massive room with hardly anything in there... could have potential to have a lot more in there.
Overall, a decent hotel for what it is. The food massively let's it down, and it's probably one of the worst food quality/choice I've ever had (I'm not hard to please at all btw - i love greasy food, curries etc...).
It's not a hotel I would visit again, but for a cheap break, it's ok. Just take extra cash with you ready to eat out in restaurants in town.
Definitely a 3* at best I would say.
This is a comfortable hotel in a good location. It is clean & modern with a good atmosphere. The room is large & equipt with tea & coffee making facilities though, the two coffee pods & 2 milk pods were never replenished. The floor in the room was cleaned daily but little else done. The food is adequate & there is something for everyone to eat, if not a little repetitive. The AI drinks are OK, the only real downside being the long queues at the poolside bar. The pool doesn’t open until 10am & all the loungers are padlocked until then. It was strange to reserve a spot by the pool & then queue for a lounger when they were released. I can see why they do it, it saves loungers being reserved with towels that are then sat empty until breakfast is over, but, I think the pool should open at 9am to make the most of the day. All in all, a pleasant 4 night stay in room 356, with sea view, which backs on to the unused & incredibly quiet ‘children’s play area’. (This may not be the case as the height of the season progresses). Would I return, yes, I probably would.
I booked this holiday as a solo parent with two young boys.
Location: the hotel is around 20 minute walk to the beach. Easily doable however in the heat I chose to get a taxi. Taxi is barely a five minute drive. Go to reception they book it. It cost me each time 5.10 euros so really well priced. The drive shows you pick up point and you grab a taxi back. So so easy.
Beach is lovely,it's of crabs in the rockery. Clean beach. I highly recommend the Mexican restuarant opposite! Cost me 60 euros for three huge meals, 2 cocktails, 1 cocktail and a starter.
Hotel/swimming pool/ staff - the hotel is clean and presentable. The room was lovely, cleaned really well each day. Has a fridge, hairdryer and bath. We were ground floor overlooking the pool. The staff were 'nice' polite, but not the warmest I have experienced. However one of the lifeguards was an absolute joy, laughed with the kids and adults and was straight on the ball with his whistle! The pool is lovely and the slides were enjoyed by every kid. Plenty of sunbeds. The kids entertainment was not its strong point. No one every approached me to interact the kids for kids activities, I had to ask. The entertainers didn't communicate with me but overall thats fine, but there could really be more enthusiasm from them to get the children excited. It was a common discussion amongst parents that it lacked that spark from them.
Food - we are vegan, eating was tough at times however that was due to repetiveness. There was always SOMETHING to eat such as rice and veg but I really wish there was just one option in which it could be a complete meal. Or a little vegan dessert option. However the food we did each, was lovely, well cooked and seasoned, and fresh. Loved the salads.
Overall. I so recommend this place. Its sad to see the negative reviews where there really are so many positives! Its wonderfully priced for what you get. All inclusive, beautiful pool, evening music and arcade bit for the kids. I really loved it!!
Little shout out to everyone at reception who were wonderfully kind, cheerful and helpful. Never felt a bother asking a question. The people who work at the shop. Always lovely and chatting with the kids, and the lifeguards.
I would absolutely come back
