Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Absolutely lovely holiday!! From the staff, food, pools, drinks, restaurants, snacks absolutely every part of our stay was catered and cared for. We stayed all inclusive preferred which I highly recommend ! It's a very quiet resort, so if you are looking to relax this is the place
Amazing place. Staff really helpful and friendly, the spa was amazing. We had two rooms and were lucky enough to get an upgrade. If you can afford it I highly recommend the jacuzzi suite with sea views. Absolute bliss. Great location. A short walk to bars and restaurants by the quay. The entertainment staff were brilliant and I’d definitely recommend the cocktail classes, yoga and water aerobics.
Had such a lovely week in Lanzarote staying at Secrets! The staff were all so great, so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. They were attentive and efficient in everything they did. The Italian restaurant was a particular favourite of ours, the mushroom risotto was amazing! We never had to rush for a sunbed there was plenty to go around. The only very small points I would say was that the bathroom was very small in our room (maybe our room type) the shower, toilet etc were all in very close proximity to one another, secondly the buffet was a bit limited at lunch for veggie options. Aside from these very minor points I would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a relaxing break!
Just back from a 4 night break at this lovely hotel - we really needed the rest and got it here. We got the 'Preferred Club' stuff, and I would say, it was worth it for the minibar, access to the little lounge, and the pool area was a bit quieter. I left feeling very 'looked after', the staff were all amazing, and nothing was too much trouble. There are lots of spaces to just sit and 'be' during the day - whether that's by the pool(s), in the lounges, or the lobby, or in the spa (extra cost) or the balinese beds (extra cost), it was just a wonderful place to go for a genuine break away from whatever ails you. We went with bed & breakfast (which we tend to prefer) and explored the marina for our evening meals. It's an easy 15 minute walk along a coast path accessible via a gate at the back of the hotel, and there are shops and restaurants. The gym, which we did actually use, is well equipped and clean and open 24h. There's a spa which I wish we'd used, but didn't have time in the end. Our room was great - very comfortable, and plenty of space. Bathroom was compact, but clean, and plenty of space for all your stuff to go. I'd have liked more hooks (I know that sounds odd, but I like to hang towels/cloths/clothes), but that's a really minimal point. The only other thing that might have improved the room (for us) is being able to access the spaces from our balcony - it was on the same floor as all the amenities, but fenced in. This is SUCH a SMALL thing though, it didn't affect our enjoyment - I think this is about my laziness rather than any failing of the hotel. We've filed this in 'places to rebook', as we really enjoyed it, felt very cared for and cared about and had a wonderful time here.
We’ve just returned from 5 nights at Secrets staying All Inclusive, non-Preferred Club and honestly we had the most gorgeous stay!
We arrived after 9pm and from the minute we walked in we felt really looked after. We were greeted with chilled essential oil infused towels and a glass of cava which, after travelling all day, went down VERY well! Check-in was seamless and thankfully the buffet was still running so we were able to get food straight away. Cava, food and no check-in drama... we were off to a good start!
Before going I’d read what felt like every review ever written about Preferred Club and did wonder if we’d regret not upgrading but honestly we didn’t at all. I was actually surprised by how many Preferred Club guests were around the non-Preferred pool areas every day anyway. We never had an issue getting a sunbed, even coming down later in the morning, so absolutely none of the 6am towel on a bed Olympics that you sometimes get on holidays! The pool areas were gorgeous and really relaxing.
The buffet for breakfast and lunch was perfect for us with a fab selection every day. I’d be fairly fussy and there was always loads I wanted. The drinks were amazing too with plenty of choice and definitely not the watered down all-inclusive specials you sometimes expect. For dinner we ate in the Italian and the steakhouse and both were absolutely delicious. Genuinely couldn’t fault a thing with either of them.
Our room was spotless and had everything we needed. TV, great air-conditioning, toiletries replenished daily and the minibar restocked every day too. Housekeeping did a brilliant job throughout our stay. We happened to be in the block where you occasionally got the infamous sewage whiff as you walked past the diving centre. Was it the most romantic fragrance Lanzarote has to offer? Absolutely not. But it was literally a brief waft as we walked past and nowhere near enough of an issue for us to complain about or allow it to affect our holiday. We just walked a little faster and considered it free cardio!
I’d also read a few reviews mentioning the cats before we went and was half expecting the place to resemble a cat sanctuary. Yes there are a couple around but honestly no more than you’d probably see wandering around my own street at home. They kept to themselves, never bothered us and weren’t a hindrance whatsoever. Definitely not something I’d consider a negative.
Every member of staff we came across was friendly and attentive. Nobody felt overbearing but there was always someone there if you needed anything. The whole resort was spotless and beautifully kept and there was just a really lovely relaxed atmosphere around the place.
The evening entertainment was good and we enjoyed it. If I was being picky, I probably would have liked it to go on for another hour or so. Just as you were settled with a few drinks and getting into the night it felt like it was finishing. But honestly that’s about the biggest criticism I can come up with and it certainly wouldn’t make me mark the hotel down.
Overall we had an absolutely brilliant experience. I think sometimes you can read so many reviews before going somewhere that you end up arriving prepared for sewage, cats, sunbed warfare and regretting your life choices because you didn’t book Preferred Club. Then you actually get there and realise most of it really isn't that deep.
Beautiful hotel, fab food, amazing drinks, lovely staff, spotless rooms, no sunbed drama and just a proper relaxing adults-only break. Five nights absolutely flew and we were genuinely sad to leave. We’d go back in a heartbeat.
An easy 5 stars from us ⭐
