This hotel has been designed with great care in detail, where elegance and exclusivity are two of the words that define it. An establishment that stands out for its perfect combination of rest, tranquillity and enjoyment The Royal Marina Suites facilities are spacious and exquisitely equipped with everything you could need for a dreamed vacation. Relaxing in the sun in one of its Balinese beds with spectacular views of the sea, while enjoying a refreshing cocktail, served by one of our waiters at the Lounge Bar, are some of the experiences that will make your stay at this Hotel, unforgettable
Our 2nd year here and oh my …. It does not disappoint. Beautiful room ,cleaned everyday to a very high standard so thank you to staff . Never had an issue getting a subbed every morning . Delicious breakfast served by very professional but happy staff . We both enjoyed ‘ cocktail of the day ‘ on a couple of occasions and cocktails were amazing . Both of us have very busy jobs so to come here and experience the peacefulness is a total joy . Hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the harbour where there are lots of lovely restaurants. Thanks to all staff to making our holiday once again amazing . We will be sad to leave tomorrow but we will definitely be back again ! X
First time staying at this hotel and it certainly didn’t disappoint. We’ve stayed in Puerto Calero a few times so knew what to expect with the area and amenities available. The hotel itself is only about a ten minute walk from restaurants/bars.
Our room was spotlessly clean and very spacious. Could be doing with some drawer space but that’s more a personal preference than a complaint. Lovely outdoor space with sunbeds, which is great if you don’t want to lie at the pool, and table and chairs and parasol. We did lie at the pool most days and never found an issue with getting sunbeds at any time of the day. Maybe that just depends on how sensible and unselfish the guests in the hotel are at the time of your stay . Definitely loved how peaceful and quiet the pool area was, no entertainment and subdued background music which suits us to a T - if you want music wear headphones! Never used the pool bar so can’t comment on that.
Didn’t have breakfast every day, our choice, but the days that we did it was plentiful and delicious. Juices, water, bread etc were constantly replenished and the hot breakfasts were delicious.
The wet room with huge bath was great. Did find the large window out to the bedroom a bit strange but as we’ve been together over 30 years it wasn’t an issue for us.
One small complaint was the lack of somewhere to dry clothes. My hubby always runs on holiday so a small pull out drying rack is an essential for us, also good for drying small hand washed items like bikinis. Not sure why there can’t be one as there is plenty of space on the sun terrace.
Used the small gym and it’s sufficient for a holiday workout. Could be doing with some disinfectant spray perhaps to clean weights, weight bench after use, and maybe a water cooler.
All the staff we encountered were exceptionally helpful and pleasant and a credit to the hotel.
In summary a great hotel if you like something smaller and more intimate. Slightly more expensive that we would usually pay but definitely worth it for a treat - we will be back!
Lovely hotel, incredible views, spotlessly clean and very large rooms. Personally not a fan of the window into the bathroom or the wet room. The reason we have given it four stars is for several reasons, firstly the lift was out of order for quite a substantial amount of time during our stay and being on the top floor it might have caused problems with mobility issues. Also breakfast was nothing special, limited amount of fruit and some mornings especially the strawberries, raspberries etc. were still frozen. The pool bar which was supposedly open at 11.30 wasn’t always set up on time and guests sometimes had to go and find a member of staff. The worst situation was the reserving of sunbeds. Most had been taken by 8.30 but weren’t occupied till much later. Numerous guests, us included, complained to reception who said there is nothing they could do about it. But they did put a note under doors asking for guests not to do it. People ignored it, and nothing was done about it.
We are coming to the end of an 11 day stay and we will certainly be back next June, hotel is a real gem, 5 star in every way, rooms are huge with superking beds, sofa, desk and huge wetroom with double sinks, full size stand alone bath, waterfall shower there is a large round glass window from lounge with view of the wetroom which may not be ideal if you are with a friend or early partner as toilet and shower are in full view of bedroom but we have been married many years so not a problem for us, all rooms have wonderful seaviews, balconies are huge with 2 sunbeds table, chairs and parasol, rooms cleaned daily by lovely staff, premium toiletries left daily with 1 bottle of still water, pool towels can be changed daily no deposit or charge, plenty comfy cushioned sunbeds, many days sunbeds were still available all day long, no sunbed hoggers, staff are all 5 star helpful and friendly, breakfast 7.30 - 10.30 buffet continental/plenty fresh fruit with hot dishes to order from your table, so peaceful and relaxing small boutique hotel with just 26 rooms, B&B only but just 5 mins walk to plenty of restuarants and supermarket, Puerto Calero is a quiet peaceful area, dont come here for shopping, nightlife/bars or childrens entertainment as there are none, only 3 hotels two which are adults only and a selection of villas, we have been here many times and love it, Playa Blanca has similar hotel Cala Suites but not a patch on this one - book now !!!!
Fabulous hotel with incredible views across the marina and out to sea.
Very quiet and relaxing. Just what we look for in a holiday location.
Breakfast was fabulous though if I do have one criticism it’s that not all available breakfast items are listed on the breakfast menu.
This was our 2nd visit and the hotel delivered the high standards we’d expected.
