This four-star hotel boasts an enviable position with the beach just a fifteen-minute walk away or you can hop on the hotel's free shuttle bus.
The pools here take centre stage with all three fresh water swimming pools offering amazing views of the ocean. One of the pools is heated over winter so you can swim all year round, and there is also a poolside bar for those who want to bask in the sun with an ice cold beverage or delicious snack.
Rooms are spacious and come with furnished balconies offering incredible ocean views, ensuring you make the most of the Spanish sun. The rooms are also equipped with a fridge (at a fee), cable TV, telephone, safe (at a fee), air-conditioning and bathroom with a bath and shower. Family superior rooms are available at a supplement.
After-dinner drinks and live acts including professional singers, dancers and performers offer great entertainment during the evenings in the lounge bar. The hotel also runs its own mini club for children aged 5 -12.
The international buffet restaurant not only offers amazing views but also a selection of freshly grilled meats, live cooking stations and an array of themed dinners from all over the world.
In Playa Taurito you will be spoilt for choice for things to do, take to the chutes at Taurito waterpark or visit Europe's only permanent moonlight cinema. Explore Gran Canaria's prettiest harbour town, Puerto Mogan, by hopping on the hotel's shuttle bus. This fishing town is lined with traditional whitewashed houses, picturesque gardens and relaxing sea-water channels earning it its 'Little Venice' nickname.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Sitting on a hillside with outstanding ocean views, this four-star hotel set in the exciting resort of Playa de Taurito will fulfill all your needs. Three swimming pools with stunning views, delicious food and evening entertainment for all the family this hotel offers a variety of excellent facilities.
Close to the beach and just a 10-minute drive from the harbour town of Puerto Mogan, the Mogan Princess and Beach Club is perfect for relaxing and exploring the area.
Had a massage with Yamilet and it was the best massage in the whole universe, would highly highly recommend her. Genuinely speechless and she was so lovely too, I would come back here just for her.
Just got back from a two week stay and had a great solo holiday. Got chatting to many people of all nationalities. My second week, it was far busier than the first and sun-lounger wars happened and dinner was crazy busy.
Here are a few observations (good and bad) in no particular order. I just thought it might help some people.
The AC in the room is loud. Luckily I had ear plugs.
🪜Lots of stairs and the lifts often don’t come. Not ideal if you have accessibility issues.
Sometimes you can wait ages for a lift.
🍴You have to choose a sitting time which you then stick to for the rest of your holiday.
🏴The time I was there, there weren’t many English people in the hotel, which suits me but you have children who are wanting to make friends (English) then it might not be ideal.
📚There is a book swap shelf by reception. Books available in many languages. Not many in English though. Luckily I bought a few with me.
The hotel is dated in areas but I understand there is a refurb on the cards.
If you end up in block 6, it’s a long way from the main parts of the hotel.
🌭The food is nice and well cooked. However, it’s quite repetitive. I did get bored after 2 weeks of the same food.
🍺There is self service options for drinks at the bars and at meal times.
You can upgrade your inclusive level for €17 per day. To be honest, unless you are fussed by named brands, there is plenty available on the basic level.
🎤The entertainment I saw wasn’t great sadly. Lots of acrobatic shows. No animation team shows like other hotels.
🎶There is music by the main pool which is nice.
🚌The transfer to the hotel is about 90 mins.
Don’t remove towels from sunbeds because YOU have decided no one is using it.
🛏️Bedding and towels are changed regularly.
⚠️it’s very slippery at the pool. I saw many people slip over.
There is a shop on site which is reasonably well stocked and not over priced. There is also a mini supermarket down the hill that is open until 11pm and again well stocked and not too expensive.
All inclusive finishes at midnight. There is no 24hour bar like some other hotels.
WiFi isn’t everywhere in the hotel but if you are lucky, it might work in your room. Mine worked in block 6 as was above reception.
Overall the hotel is good. Food is good, rooms are clean. There is a good atmosphere around the pool. The loungers are spaced as best can be, there is no 6am rush for them either.
The hotel is based on a hillside, so prepare for steps!! A lot of steps! There lifts but they regularly break down from so much use, but the hotel is good at fixing as soon as they can.
Now the downside is the pool. The main pool itself is fine and does on occassion gets crowded. But it is patrolled by the 'Fun Police'. The life guard on duty will stop any sort of fun with your kids in an instant. There are no balls allowed in the pool, or anything that can be used as a ball. Bearing in mind this is a family hotel based around kids playing etc. You can not have any sort of fun in the pool. This spoilt the holiday and whilst we were there could see it upset a number of other families. If you are looking to take the family on holiday to have fun and enjoy them selves I would suggest to avoid this hotel.
Do not book this hotel if you are British. Been here a week and to be honest wish I hadn't booked for 2! The entertainment is a 45 minute show that is a 3 out of 10 standard that starts at 9.15 and before and after that is a radio playing songs honestly that's it! The show is in Spanish only. Food is very average and lukewarm breakfast lunch and dinner. Dinner you get a time slot and told where to sit so you never get the window overlooking the views of the harbour. Staff are genuinely friendly but at the tiny pool 1 day balls are fine the next day they are not. Day time entertainment again is Spanish only. Rooms are dated and the only channel in english is bloomberg!!! Avoid Avoid Avoid
We had a lovely peaceful yet fun time here just before school holidays started. The room was actually better in real life than on the photos and the air con was a lovely addition. Staff were very friendly I found. I also enjoyed the food and being a vegetarian I was worried I wouldn’t be catered for but there was plenty to choose from.
