This hotel has lots of positives , the main being the location. Just a few steps out of a gate then directly on to the fantastic coastal boardwalk , ideal for exercise /coffees/ lunch etc. The staff at the hotel are fantastic , the food was generally very good although a 5 course dinner with 5 very small courses could be better replaced with a 3 course dinner or very good buffet. It’s a lot of work for staff with two consecutive dinner servings & can feel a bit chaotic for the diner. Breakfast buffet fantastic. The outdoor area needs properly manning and heaters to make more comfortable on cooler evenings , after dinner there isn’t anywhere to sit and relax comfortably so inevitably people return to their rooms or go out. Unfortunately a couple of big negatives for us . Our first two days were very noisy around the pool, first day hammering into an outdoor roof bar and second day replacement of metal stair rail and posts the full length of the outdoor staircase . There was no notice given/apologies made or any sweetener to say thank you for putting up with the noise and disruption of relaxing time around the pool. During our stay on the second floor balcony two male visitors covered their balcony with a blanket and towels , we woke to the smell of pot /weed and they smoked all day on the balcony. After some time we reported this to reception who said they had already received a complaint and it wasn’t against the law. We witnessed a manager having a look but nothing was done about it. A hotel which attracts such lovely international customers should not have to endure the smell permeating around the pool and balconies. It is unfortunate to have to include in this in the review but management were informed. Overall very nice stay
4 stars for the friendly Staff, no disturbing music during the day, very good beds and quiet nights. The breakfast was ok exept much of the fresh fruit was tasteless, which surprised me, I expected sunripe lokal quality. 2 stars for the 5-dinner that was a miserable experience every night - tasteless diches, overcooked lukewarm meat and fish. 0 stars for the fitness room - things do not work and the room is dark and damp. 0 stars for the shows Thursday night during dinner. The hotel is on a windy spot at the coast and the waves are a bit ruff but you can walk 100-200 meters along the shore to a little milder spot. All in all I say 3 stars.
South of island so that time of year weather a bit warmer than the north. hotel like the film "Cocoon" Lot of "Staring" old people with Alzheimer's. Staff very friendly and helpful. free bottle of Brut champers for the wives birthday. Pool was fine, but not heated so cold. Beach was comfortable, sun beds cost 9euro for 2, as not part of the hotel service. plenty of restaurants a short walk up a hill (7mins), along with spar supermarkets to top up with victuals. Breakfast pretty standard as per hotels go. meals, they had 2 rounds, ok but you wouldn't want to try then each evening as they become boring, so lots of places to eat out. Room was fine. Value: fine, as any trip under 4hrs flight we class as a cheap and cheerful holiday. No issues with noise as we had a room far away from from the relax beach club. They did seem to have some sort of entertainment in the hotel which we were not aware, this was in a main dining area, no real info on this. few pics i have attached of receipts and of a plug socket that was in a dangerous condition, they need to upgrade their electrics so sockets have USB outlets as no one wants to carry around travel adapters in their case. We had a problem with the coffee table in the room, legs came unstuck , so a bit dangerous if you have a hot cup of coffee of the table. Then later we see another client take his coffee table to reception with 3 loose legs to report it. Would we return? well we dont usually go back to the same island/Country , so very unlikely. This is only a report rather than a review on our experience, so should not deter you from giving it a try.
