Abora Interclub Atlantic

We are just back from Abora Interclub Atlantic by Lopesan in Gran Canaria this morning. We had an amazing time. Hotel staff were all very helpful, welcoming and friendly. From reception staff to cleaners. We had two family rooms next door to each other on the ground floor. In one room was myself my husband our 6 and 8 year old. In the other room was our 19 and 14 year old boys. The hotel was perfect for all ages. The entertainment team were second to none. There was always something on during the day at the pool for all ages and the nighttime entertainment was brilliant. We had an all inclusive plus package where food and drinks were brilliant. Everything was clean inside and outside of the hotel. We used the hotel photographer for the kids and the picture turned out great. The facilities around the hotel are amazing. Sports pitches, outdoor gym area, two parks and other table sports dotted around. The pools were always busy however we did manage to get sun-beds each day and even booked the private beds one of those days for only €20 for the whole day. Our two youngest children still need a life jacket in the deeper areas of the pool and online it says they’re very strict with the flumes however we never had an issue. We removed the life jackets and one of us were always able to catch them at the bottom the the flumes. The life guards were always very relaxed but professional. The hotel is very child safety conscious but definitely within reason as I was worried the kids wouldn’t get to experience the flumes. We used the hotel hairdresser who was lovely. We got hair braids and myself my husband and eldest also got tattoos on site from Mr tattoo and he was amazing we are both so happy with his work. Check out was at 12pm and our rooms weren’t free to extent however the hotel offer complimentary rooms that you can freshen up in before being picked up for the airport which was amazing. This includes showers and fresh towels. If I was to be really picky and offer feedback I’d have liked the bathrooms in the hotel rooms to have been slightly cleaner (scrubbed around the sink and taps) and I felt the pool bar food was repetitive and a bit like fast food. This is just personal preference. I was a bit worried with the fact there was only one restaurant however it was never over crowded and as a family of 6 we always managed to get a table. All of the kids loved the food and found something every day they could eat. The hotel is within walking distance of the beautiful beach and lots of local shops. We ate out two nights and visited the shopping centre and water park which were all amazing. Hopefully I’ve covered everything. We will definitely be back.

Very short transfer from airport - nice hotel with super staff - very spacious rooms/suite perfect as travelling with my granddaughter. Felt very safe as an older lady with teenage girl.
