Brilliant everything so good

Nice quiet location about a 25 minute walk to bars . Room clean and tidy cleaned everyday with fresh towels . Food was great something for everyone taste . Loads of sunbeds round the pool but not much shade the umbrellas are wood so you cant move or change the position to block sun and they sell umbrellas in the shop on the hotel but your not allowed to use on the hotel grounds so if you have children with you like we did it hard to fine shade for them that's the only downside to this hotel .the kids pool was great. The mini disco should be in at 7.30 for 5 and under and 8 for 5 and over as all the little ones get pushed away by the older children.

We stayed here on an all-inclusive plus package and, overall, had a mixed experience. There are some good points, but also several areas where the hotel could improve.

Location We used private transfers and the hotel was around 25 minutes from the airport, which was convenient. Check-in was quick with no queue when we arrived, although we did see lengthy reception queues at other times with frustrated guests waiting. The beach is not far, but be prepared for a lot of steep steps — I counted over 160. The beach itself is okay, but there is not much there. There is one local restaurant (open Friday–Sunday) and one local shop about a 10-minute walk away. The on-site shops are poorly stocked and very overpriced for basic items.

Atmosphere The hotel generally has a relaxing feel, although the dining area can get quite noisy. The hotel is starting to look dated in places, but the rooms are kept clean and tidy. The housekeeping team were some of the friendliest staff members we met — always polite and helpful.

The pool atmosphere could be improved. Some rules felt unnecessarily strict, such as not allowing guests to throw a small sponge ball despite plenty of pool space. The entertainment team was disappointing, particularly for adults, with activities feeling mainly aimed at younger children. More adult activities such as water polo or organised games would have made a big difference.

I appreciate that not every guest would want to watch the World Cup, but for many holidaymakers it was an important part of their stay, and several fellow guests I spoke to expressed the same frustration. Despite the tournament being a major event, there were no TVs in any communal areas where guests could watch matches together, and there were no nearby local bars offering an easy alternative. This meant many people ended up taking drinks back to their rooms to watch games or travelling elsewhere to find somewhere showing them. A simple solution, such as creating a dedicated viewing area for those interested, would have catered for football fans without affecting other guests and would have added to the overall atmosphere of the hotel.

Rooms The rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable. Beds were adequate, showers were good, air conditioning inside the room worked well, and having a mini fridge and a good-sized safe was useful (although the safe costs extra). The sea view was nice, but unfortunately our balcony was spoiled by the noise and appearance of external air conditioning units and ducting outside the room. They were very loud overnight and kept us awake.

Wi-Fi was slow. The TV was okay but had limited channels. There were also some small issues, such as the toilet door not closing properly and a faulty handle. A kettle was provided, but no cups were left in the room.

Value The all-inclusive plus package was worth it mainly for cocktails and bottled water, but it was not always clear what was included. For example, bottled wine with evening meals was available but not advertised or offered. Premium drink choices were limited, with no Malibu, Irish whiskey, or reasonable quality spiced rum available.

Prices outside the package were very high. Laundry costs were particularly excessive, with even a pair of socks costing over €3 to wash. There is also no on-site or local launderette.

Cleanliness The rooms and lobby toilets were clean, but some other areas needed attention. The pool was cloudy and looked like it needed a deeper clean. The pool areas were also not as clean as expected. Most sunbeds were fine, although many of the reclining ones were broken. Paying €20 for a premium sunbed was actually worthwhile.

Noise Other than the external air conditioning units outside our room, noise levels were generally acceptable. The room noise from the units was the main issue and did affect sleep quality.

Service Most staff were polite and helpful, especially the housekeeping team. Reception staff were courteous, but there were occasions where solutions were lacking. Some rules were applied inconsistently — for example, after taking a clean cup from the restaurant for coffee in the room for eight days (because none were provided), I was suddenly told this was not allowed, but no suitable alternative solution was offered beyond a plastic beaker!

The lifeguards were the main disappointment, coming across as overly strict and, at times, arrogant.

Amenities Overall, the facilities felt very average. The restaurants provided a good variety of food and there was always something available, which worked well for a family with different tastes. Opening times for the main restaurant were generous. Snack bars, however, became repetitive, and queues at the beach bar could be long.

The evening entertainment was short and mainly aimed at children, with little for adults.

Overall This hotel has potential but have a sense of decline rather than improving. The food, housekeeping, and general relaxed atmosphere are positives, but the experience is let down by dated areas, poor adult entertainment, inconsistent rules, high additional costs, and a lack of attention to small details that could significantly improve guests’ stays.

I would describe it as a below average all-inclusive experience rather than one that stands out.
